We were a little nervous at our first lesson, and we had only purchased a groupon for 4 lessons - 2 private, and 2 group. We were only able to make the 2 private sessions before the wedding, but Gabby at the Silver Spring location was just wonderful. She made adjustments for us so we looked like we knew what we were doing even if we didn't. It was a great stress reliever leading up to the wedding that allowed us to get out and have some fun.
Our instructor Sean was amazing! To be honest, my husband and I CANNOT dance and he made us dancers! I felt comfortable during our first dance and my dad got lessons with me too!
My Dad and I went to the Lake Forest location for our father/daughter dance and we had a lot of fun! We aren't the easiest people to work with, but Cassie was very patient was us (and kept my Dad in check, which I loved!) she pushed both of us and really wanted us to do well. I didn't really price compare because I had heard good things about them in the past, but it felt a bit pricey to me (maybe because we were both armatures and needed a lot of coaching). We both loved Cassie and felt that deciding to go with Arthur Murray was wort every penny!
We made a decision in the fourth quarter to have our first dance coreographed and we chose Arthur Murray in Hawyward. We purchased lessons with Evan B. and he was so patient and took his time creating a dance that was easy to learn and fun to execute. Our dance turned out amazing and we will be going back for more so we can learn the Rumba and other fun dances.
We used a Groupon and got a dance lesson package. The instruction was great, but unfortunately the Groupon was for just 3 lessons-not really enough for us to get the hang of our dance routine.
Melody at Arthur Murray took two non-dancing individuals, and made us look amazing for our wedding dance. We received multiple compliments on how great we looked. It took several months to prepare us, but we wanted more than the two step look, and we got it.
five days before our wedding my fiance panicked and decided we needed dance classes. with very little time we raced to Arthur Murray in Redwood City and signed up for a trial class, 40 minutes later we had mastered a move! We immediately signed up for four more lessons and split them between 3 classes in Redwood City and the last class in Santa Rosa nearer our wedding venue. We had an amazingly talented and patient teacher, Alex at Redwood City. He had a fabulous personality and understood our priorities and pace of learning (ie slow!). He adapted the lessons according to how much we progressed and gave us so many fabulous tips and really guided us throughout the process. I have never seen instruction so well thought out and he is a natural dancer and teacher.
Arthur Murray Dance Studio on Eubank and Candelaria was the best value for the money. Very classy place, with wooden floors, mirrored walls and big enough to hold 100 people. And Great location.
The groom was so reluctant to take lessons, but the instructor at Arthur Murray really interested him. We will definitely be taking more lessons at the blue ash location in Ohio!
They were amazing at helping us dance for our first dance and my dance with my dad. They are all very nice and helpful there.
Very easy to work with and helped us very much
We were gifted a few dance lessons and had a lot of fun until we tried to explain that they should provide us with some extra lesson time because our previous lesson had not been what we expected it to be. Things went downhill from there and unfortunately we did not go back, nor will we ever go back.
My fiance and I took lessons at Arthur Murray for a few months before the wedding to prepare for our first dance. We ended up learning a lot of different kinds of dances that we have since used at other weddings and places we've gone out. I was so impressed with the instruction and have brought several family members and friends as guests to group lessons. Since we didn't have any dance experience, our first lessons were very basic and each lesson built on what we had learned. We took advantage of going to group lessons and practice parties to learn different steps and practice with other people, which made a big difference. We were very confident doing our first dance together and had a blast. This was a great investment since we can use what we learned about dance long after the wedding!
We did an introductory lesson which was a fun and romantic date night for us, but we knew we couldn't afford the cost/time of additional classes. We had a basic waltz ready but it felt so stuffy and formal that halfway thru our first dance we switched back to an intimate an relaxed sway. :)
We had so much fun!! Really was a challenge learning to work together think it was a great thing to do before getting married and surprised our guests!! We are still going even after our wedding. Great investment!!! We were taught by the BEST!!!
I used this studio for my first dance song. My husband and I really needed some lessons. We are very pleased with what we learned with Comma. I definitely recommend to take dance lessons in this location because people are always willing to help you.
We had a great time getting prepared for our first dance with Arthur Murray Dance Studio! Our instructor was Chris and he was simply excellent. We had lessons with him 2 weeks before our wedding and he helped us pull off a memorable dance. I can still hear our guest cheering during the beautiful dip we ended our dance with.
We were talked into buying one of their trial packages at a wedding expo. Classes are certainly a great way to prepare yourselves for the dance floor at the wedding, but do expect a sales talk. The people there were definitely friendly and not too pushy, though, and our instructor was good enough to give us a crash course and choreographed dance in just 2 lessons.
My husband and I really enjoyed our lessons with our instructor. She did a great job of preparing us for the big moment when we'd take the dance floor and all eyes would be on us. We received a lot of compliments, and the best part of all, we have a new shared hobby and a great way of creating memories together! We intend on continuing our lessons to continue to build on the foundation we laid.
We signed up for the "wedding preparation" dance lessons 6 months before the wedding. We ended up signing up for the next package, because the 6 lessons included in the wedding package wasn't enough for us to really learn the dance. We are very happy with our wedding dance - received TONS of compliments - and love our instructor.

Walk In....Dance Out!
Getting married? Now is the best time to come in for a complimentary private lesson at Arthur Murray. Starting early means stress free and easy progress. You'll be able to gaze into your spouse's eyes all night long instead of thinking about your feet. Besides, it's fun and easy.
