I was just married April 4th 2014 Sue at Beth's Flowers was amazing to work with i went in for the Build a Bouquet event and Sue personally helped me build the most amazing bouquet for my bridesmaids and myself. Not knowing anything about flowers I just pointed things out I liked and she turned it into everything I wanted. I told her I had a Vintage theme and she even offered lanterns and pedals down the aisle and it was all still in my budget. I couldn't have been any happier.
That same day I was telling Mrs. Sue about this vision i had for my wedding ceremony with pipe drapery and a chandelier. She showed me a picture of her past work and it was breath taking. It was exactly what i had envisioned when I received the quote for that I was even more blown away that it wasn't unreasonable and very affordable.
The day before my wedding we were checking the weather and my outside ceremony seemed slimmed to none so Mrs Sue called me and we changed the pipe and drapery to some flower arrangements sad about not being able to have my original vision Mrs Sue turned it into something as beautiful and in only one day. The morning of my wedding wouldn't you know it was the most beautiful day with less than 10 minutes of rain Mrs Sue called me up hours before my ceremony and gave me the biggest surprise. She said the weather is just to beautiful and I couldn't sit here and not do the pipe and drapery for you so she hired another company that would go out in less than 3 hours and set everything up for me including my flower arrangements i jumped for joy i couldn't have been happier.
Walking down the aisle and seeing everything set up it was MY FAIRYTALE WEDDING!!! I seriously don't know how she did it but she did it. It was my dream come true. I'm still getting text about how gorgeous my outside ceremony was not to mention my bouquet and my bridesmaid bouquet.
I would recommend every Bride to see Mrs. Sue at Beth's Flowers she is amazing and so easy to work with.
What a pleasure to do your wedding. I just had to make it work for you. I know how much you wanted your vision, it was stunning. Have a happy life.
Sue is the owner of Beth's Flowers and she was unbelievably helpful since I was coordinating my own wedding from Austin, TX. Most of our communication was via e-mail and she was always prompt in responding to me...always. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and everything I had hoped they'd be
I so happy you loved your flowers. New Orleans is now one of the biggest destinations for weddings, so we try to make it very easy for you to do it over the phone with a consultation and then follow up with email. Have a happy life. Sue
I could not be happier with my flowers, from Beth's. Every visit there was plesant and enjoyable. After my first visit, I decided I wanted to make a few changes and Sue was happy to help and work with me. They are great at what they do and are great at helping make suggestions and know what will look great. My flowers turned out so beautiful, and I am beyond thrilled with everything. I would highly recommend using Beth's, for all your wedding needs :)
We are happy you loved your flowers. We try to very hard to make all our brides dreams come true. Have a happy life!!! Sue
The flowers were beautiful BUT I do not recommend her for wedding coordinating. She was extremely rude to my guests and sisters and left my wedding early without telling me.
I LOVED my flowers from Beth's Florist. I'm not a big flower person (it's not something I notice at weddings), and Sue led me in the right direction only looking at a few Pinterest pictures. The flowers even matched exactly what I showed her! My favorite were the bridesmaids' bouquets; my girls looked so great! I would definitely recommend her to others.
Sue took care of us from start to finish. Our flowers turned out to be perfect and exactly what I wanted. I would recommend knowing exactly what you want before you go in. Otherwise, it can be overwhelming. I would also recommend having someone with you that isn't easily swayed as they can be a bit pushy (not an entirely bad thing, they do A LOT of weddings so they know what they're talking about but just be aware). I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone.
I am not from New Orleans, so in order to meet with vendors I had to travel in town on weekends. We had difficulty finding a florist that would accommodate our schedule. I am so happy that this search lead us to Beth's! The team there did a breathtaking job with all of the arrangements and helped us pick out our best options. They came back to my venue to put the flowers on the cake when my bakery was late with the delivery!
These folks are wonderful!
We got so lucky with Beth's! We were holding a destination wedding in New Orleans, so all of our contact was virtual. Sue sent pictures to us before the wedding with ideas of what she would do to help. I had no idea what to expect when we went to see the arrangements the day before the wedding. Words cannot express, I was absolutely shocked! They were the most beautiful, fresh arrangements I had ever seen and Sue went way beyond my expectations! I feel like I spent way less than I should have for such beautiful flowers! The deliveries were perfectly timed and the bouquets and boutineers were all also beautiful. Sue was extremely personable and sweet and amazing to work with! I HIGHLY recommend this florist! You will not be disappointed!
Your face said it all when you saw your flowers. I realize this is why my family and I work so hard doing what we do, because at the end of the day we walk away smiling we made our brides so happy. Sue
I used Beth's Flowers for my May wedding. I had a destination wedding so all communication with Sue was via phone and email. All of my flowers turned out beautiful! Exactly what I wanted!
We are so happy you loved your flowers!!! You were a complete pleasure to work with. Have a happy life. Sue
I never expected fresh flowers to be so beautiful. From my consultation to my wedding day, Sue provided one hundred percent excellence. She did the most amazing work that I ever had the pleasure of viewing. Everything was done with perfection, just how I like it. Nothing was exaggerated, Sue and her staff gave their best just as they promised. I would totally recommend them for any occasion.
My mom had gone to Beth's for her wedding flowers back in the 80s so when it came time to find a florist for my wedding, Beth's was at the top of the list of places to check. As a bride with very specific floral tastes, and a severe allergy and mild dislike to roses, we walked in expecting to pay quite a bit of money for flowers and to have to fight tooth and nail to get the flowers I wanted.
We were SO wrong. The ladies at Beth's were fantastic. They were understanding about my allergies, were accommodating to my groom's desire for the World's Smallest Buttonhole, and the quote for the flowers for corsages, bouquets, buttonholes and sign-in table display were so far below my budget we bit the bullet and had them make gorgeous centerpieces for the reception room, too! And still came in much lower than expected!
The day before the wedding I went in to view my flowers and approve them and trusted them with my brother's class ring to tie to my bouquet in his memory. When the flowers were delivered to the hotel and venue on the day of the wedding, there was his ring, tied prettily to my absolutely gorgeous bouquet. I thank Beth's for giving me such a bittersweet moment and would recommend them to everyone. Even the delivery guy was amazingly nice. Use Beth's. They're fantastic and you won't regret it.
Sue and Jen at Beth's flower are amazing! My bouquet, ceremony, centerpiece and flower girl flowers were gorgeous. I had them also do my day of wedding coordination and they were so on top of it. One of the things I loved most about working with Beth's flowers was the response time when I had questions. They were always super quick to respond. I was so happy with their service all around. Thanks Sue and Jen for helping to give me the perfect wedding day!
She is a little pushy, but the flowers came out wonderful.
Pushy!!! I will take that as a complement, that means I had to help guide you in the right direction for your flowers. I'm glad you like thought they were wonderful. Have a happy life!!! Sue
As I read all these wonderful reviews I feel terrible saying anything negative however my experience was not pleasant. I had a destination wedding so all of my communication was phone and email and I had all my pictures on pinterest of exactly what I wanted. I did have a very small wedding and I only needed bouquet, bridesmaid bouquet, and a few boutonnieres and corsages. One week before the wedding they called because there was some confusion about my flowers and wanted to go over them so we did and they kept mentioning lavender this and that; I said no hot pink. She said oh that is it we have you confused with another bride. The day before the wedding I went to the shop to see my bouquet. The calla lilies were all dyed to match; they all looked purple/fuchsia not hot pink. They tried to tell me it was the lighting in the shop and we went outside in the sun and they looked slightly brighter but more purple than hot pink. Their display window was full of hot pink things and a wedding cake; my flowers did not even come close to matching their display window. They did not match anything else at my wedding; my colors were Navy and Hot pink and everything but the flowers matched. I guess I could have been more outspoken that day but at that point what could have been done. We were 24 hours away from the wedding. I did ask the advice of two other florist I know and I sent them my pictures and pictures of what I asked for. They sent me a color chart that florist use to dye their flowers; it was very obvious by the chart a more purple fuchsia color was used to dye them not a hot pink color. It did not ruin my day; life went on and it was a wonderful wedding. However if I wanted my colors to be navy and purple that is what I would have picked. My pinterest pictures were obvious hot pink and navy and my flowers were not.
We are sorry you did not like your flowers, We do not care how big your wedding is, small or large we try and please all our brides. The reason we ask all of our brides to come in the day before to view their flower if they don't like them we will ch...
I had my bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets made by them and they came out absolutely gorgeous! She may seem a little scary at first but she hated the flowers at her wedding and vowed to start a place where that would not happen to someone else! We had lanterns and candles on our tables so I am not sure cost of centerpieces and what not but I believe they are fairly reasonable. I brought in some pictures of what I liked and they told me what flowers were in season at the time that matched to keep the cost down. They give you a viewing time the day before to see your flowers and then you can pick them up the next day or have them delivered. If you are not worried about cost then I am pretty sure they can get any flower you want!
I'm so glad you loved your flowers, yes I did hate my flowers on my wedding day. My staff and I try really hard to put together each brides vision. Sometimes that vision is hard to do when brides do not come in prepared for what they are looking for....
I LOVE THIS SHOP!!! They did the flowers for the bridal party and the center pieces for the reception!!! They did a BEAUTIFUL job!!!
Vina, It was a pleasure to do your wedding. Your flowers were stunning Have a happy life.
Beths Flowers was my florist for my wedding December 7th 2013. I have to say they provided me with excellent service and my flowers were beautiful. I had a very specific vision for my center pieces as well as my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets they came out exact if not better than my own vision I had. Beths flowers created a certain feel and atmosphere to my wedding that I'd always thought it should be. My night was magical and I'll never forget it I couldn't have picked a better florist.
We are so happy you loved your flowers. Your blue orchids were amazing. We wish you all the happiest in your married life.
I first found Beth's florist when I went to a build a bouquet event at the florist, I didn't really know what I wanted but with help from a staff member I found the flowers I wanted and set up an appointment for the following week to talk about pricing and what I wanted. Sue, the lady who owns the florist was the one who ran the appointment. She seemed to understand what I wanted as I even showed her pictures. And when she gave us the total price we all but fell out of the chair. We quickly cut things from the list of things we wanted (most she persuaded us to put on the list to begin with)and cut the price down by about $800. This was still high to me as I'm a very budget oriented person, however my mother in law said it was fine as she was picking up the tab. After we signed the contract and put a deposit down with a promise of an emailed copy, we left. 3 weeks later and several emails we still hadn't received our copy of the contract. I was having a brooch bouquet made and trying to get in touch with anyone for a deadline or to know if the pieces I was bring in we big enough or would work was like calling outer space. When I finally did get in touch with Jen at the florist she was helpful, but a lot had to be passed along to Sue. While the bridal bouquet turned out fine. (it was much bigger than I wanted and had a lot of hot glue used, with brooches in weird position)It was still pretty. I went the day before the wedding to check on the flowers the brides made bouquets had these spirally things sticking out of them that were never mentioned, one of the elements was brown and bronze not gold, and there were spray painted silver flowers, which again was never mentioned. I was in such shock that I didn't even realize until after the flowers were delivered the wedding day that there were only hydrangeas in the bouquets, when those were supposed to be the fill underneath and star burst mums on top. There were no mums except the silver spray painted ones. As for the mom's bouquets, the hydrangeas were so browned and yellow I didn't allow the moms to use them. The centerpieces were the same when it came to the browning of the hydrangeas and had not starburst mums, but at that point what was I going to do. We basically paid for dead flowers with her vision not mine. She takes plenty of liberty to do what she wants with no input from you. And then to top it all off, three days after the wedding I received in the mail a flyer from the florist with their wedding planning packages in it. No congratulations or indication of why or what this was for, but I'll tell you one thing if I hear anyone talking about this florist I will tell them to run the other way and keep their money in their pockets!
We were just married on January 11, 2014 and I must say meeting Sue and Jen at Beth's Flowers was a true blessing. Not being one who cared much for flowers, they made selecting the appropriate floral arrangements for our wedding and reception venues simple. This was the first florist on our list and within our time there we were convinced this shop was the one for us. Our guests were amazed at the quality of roses and the attention to detail from the centerpieces down to the bridesmaids bouquets; no corners were cut.
Also, for those ladies interested in preserving your wedding bouquet or husbands boutineer, I must remark that the flower preservation company I used was over the moon about the care and quality put into organization, sustaining and structure of the bouquet; i had a Saturday wedding, mailed my bouquet on Monday, it got to the preservation company on a Tuesday and they were shocked they were from four days earlier, they looked fresh as if the wedding was the same day... they too are singing Beth's Flowers praises.
We highly recommend Beth's flowers to both the local and destination wedding couples as we too were working with them from two separate states, and despite our distance we were always in the loop and greeted with detailed emails or phone calls in a timely manner. We had our wedding at St. Louis Cathedral and reception at the Windsor court Hotel - managing a few dozen vendors and their schedules and attitudes is not easy, these folks stepped in and ensured our special day was a success.
Additionally, Sue, Jen and team offer wedding planning services for the day of and leading up to the wedding, if you are like us with a busy and active lifestyle, don't hesitate, take her up on this option, you will not regret it. They are not only good, but great at what they do and will help keep you on task and on budget with a southern flair :)
What can we say. It was such a pleasure to do your wedding. Never in my 30 years in business have I dressed a bride and got her to a church in less then 20 minuets. I love a challenge and you two provided me with one. I'm so happy that we made all y...
I am very glad that we chose Beth's for our wedding. All of the flowers were absolutely beautiful, and working with the staff during the months before the wedding was very stress-free. My only concern was that I felt that the prices were a little high and that our reception centerpieces were not as "full" as I thought they would be for the price we paid.
