I was impressed at first with this shop when we went to look for my bridesmaid dresses but once we choose one, it all went downhill from there. We went to a trunk show for Mother of Bride dresses and all the dresses were a size 6! My mother is not a size 6 and most that we're there weren't either. So, they couldn't try on the dresses! How are you supposed to get. "Feel" for a dress if you can't try it on. Then when the bridesmaid dresses came in, the zippers were hard to work on each of them. They said that this is "normal"?! Normal??? The manufacturer is well known and has been making dresses for years, fix this problem! Because now my girls had to be charged additional to fix the zippers. And one girls dress was messed up and she needed a whole new one sent to her which cam literally less than 2 weeks before my wedding! Not once did the owner contact myself or my bridesmaid. I had to get involved finally and go "bridezilla" on her! I would NOT recommend anyone to use this shop.
Victoria at Bliss Bridal helped me to create the most gorgeous and affordable custom veil! I had tried one on at Kleinfelds and loved it but could not afford the crazy $700 price, so I went to Bliss and described it to Victoria who had it made for me for a fraction of the price and it was Perfect!!! I would tell any bride not to pay the crazy veil prices and to go to Bliss and have exactly what you want for SOO much less! It was made in just a few weeks and it was gorgeous!

I visited this store many times as a bride before deciding on a bridesmaid dress to use in our wedding. Every time I was in there, wether it was crowded or not, I was helped by their kind staff. For such a small store, they have an excellent selection of bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses, by many different designers. If they do not have a dress you would like to see by a designer they carry, they will order a sample for you. We chose Bari Jay dresses for the bridesmaids and an Enzoni dress for my mom. The Enzoni dress was stunning. It was not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I appreciate that they offered a discount to my bridal party because it was a certain number of girls and also extended that to my mom's dress as well. I also bought my veil there. Victoria, the owner, helped me with my selection and explained all the different aspects of their veils, from the different shapes and how they would fall to different types of beading.
Visited bliss many times to pick out and have the bridesmaids dresses fitted. I found my veil there, and I used their alterations lady for my own dress. Lovely people, very nice, it was always a plessure to visit.
My sister's wedding is coming up in October and we ordered the bridesmaids dresses from Bliss back in March. The store is beautiful and the shopping experience was incredibly pleasant. They specialize in only bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses so they can focus on those customers. That is why I was very disappointed when all six bridesmaids dresses were way too big. Some of the girls' dresses were even 3 sizes too big. Everyone had to have expensive alterations done on the dresses and the store did not help in any way except to offer the alterations in the store which not everyone was able to do and even then there was a significant charge. Don't be fooled by the charm of this store. You are better off going to a bridal salon where they are knowledgable of how to measure women for the correct size dress. There are many in the area that carry the same designers for just as good of a price. I will not be purchasing bridesmaids dresses for my June 2013 wedding from this store.

My Mother and I found a lot of nice dresses at this store for her if you are having a fancy wedding. However, if your Mom does not want to pay $500 for her dress, I would suggest going to Lord & Taylor or Bloomingdales to find a nice dress. Bliss had dresses that you cannot find in an upscale department store. They were actually mother of the bride dresses, and most of them are made really well to flatter her figure. My Mom went there a couple of different times and she had gone there to order a dress and I was able to pay for it over the phone (as her gift) with the sales woman who was extremely helpful. They also have a wonderful seamstress they work with that does not charge much and the store even allows you to meet there even if you didnt purchase your dress from the store. The seamstress had also hemmed my sisters dress that I bought online. She had it ready in a few days. Same with my Mothers dress. I also bought my sisters high heel silver shoes there - she is a size 11 and hard to find the right size and the shoes were really comfortable for high heels! Overall, I am really happy that we found such a great store and I know it was well worth it to go to a nice boutique for the quality of the material and the service.
I loved Bliss!!!! I got my veil, headpiece, and all my bridesmaid dresses there. We loved the experience!!! The owner was fantastic and always willing to work with us. Even when I showed up a few days before my wedding with a bridesmaid whose dress didn't fit. She was there helping to find a solution to help us!!! Take a look the store was great for everything!
We arrived for a 2:00 p.m. appointment to view three dresses for six bridesmaids on a Saturday in April at BLISS BRIDAL BOUTIQUE in Allendale, NJ. This appointment was scheduled three weeks prior to the actual date. The bride called to confirm that that all three dresses from one particular designer would be shipped on time for this appointment. When we arrived, the bride was informed that the designer had not even been in contact with Bliss as of that day and that only one dress was marked down to be viewed at this appointment. It was hard enough getting six young girls together from South Jersey on a weekend but matters were made even more stressful when the obnoxious salesperson (clearly seeing her error) copped an attitude and proceeded to let everyone know that there was a "miscommunication." That surely they would "not have lied." As the mother of the bride, I took great offense to this. My daughter (25 years old) is not a liar. Why would she have bothered going there if the dresses she was interested in were not there? I told her as much and also let her know that I did not like her attitude and wanted to talk to another representative. To this she responded "I'm the owner." As the owner, this woman's responsibility was first and foremost to apologize. Yes, whether the mistake was hers or ours. Had this person apologized, and offered to help select another dress; perhaps, this would have diffused the situation. She kept saying it was a miscommunication and that she was shaking because I was getting loud! Her Switch a Bait scheme backfired. Her attempt to rectify this miscommunication was to let me know there would be a trunk sale for this designer in a month or so, and she walked away. We left Bliss. No one attempted to stop us or apologize for THEIR mistake. We fortunately called another boutique who had the dress and was able to accomodate us that day. Six dresses were purchased at that shop less than an hour later. On the way to this other boutique the owner of Bliuss called my daughter and wanted to offer a "formal apology" and realized she should have "handled the situation differently..." SHAME ON YOU BLISS! THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!
