I didn't even consider anywhere else for my wedding venue! Boulder Springs has a trustworthy staff, is affordable, amazingly beautiful, very flexible with vendors, and you don't have to clean the hall when it's over (just make sure that everything is out when you go)!
Our $700 camera got left there after the wedding on accident, and the staff kept it locked in a closet until we could pick it up. It had our first dance on it (which was choreographed), and we really wanted it for the honeymoon. So we called, left messages, emailed, but the quickest response was via Facebook. It's great to know that there are several ways to get in touch with someone there.
I saw this venue in a magazine when I was planning my wedding, and I was hooked! I was concerned that it would look nothing like the magazine or that maybe they focused on the one good part of the venue, but everything about it was absolutely spectacular! I didn't want to look at anything else, but I made myself go to two other places (didn't even compare). Between the three places that I visited, this was the most flexible, the most affordable, and the most beautiful!
There are a few things that Boulder Springs will no do/provide for your wedding, but Anita will let you know what those things are (none of them are unreasonable). For example, you can bring your own alcohol, but have to use their bartenders (which aren't included in the price). She is very open and sends helpful reminders (high chairs not provided...I would have never thought of that). The venue does not come with a day of consultant. The staff will make sure that the hall gets cleaned up which is nice. You are only responsible for setting up (get a day of consultant to do this) and making sure that everything is gone by the end of the night. They will put tables and chairs up, sweep, mop, empty the trash cans...none of that is your responsibility!
We had our January wedding at Boulder Springs and a month and a half later, we are STILL getting texts and emails from family and friends raving about Boulder Springs and how beautiful our wedding was. Anita at Boulder is an absolute pleasure to work with. She was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the whole planning process. We planned our wedding from out of state. Anita could not have been more helpful. We can't say enough good things about the venue and staff. You will definitely not be sorry if you choose to have your wedding and/or reception at Boulder Springs! We had our ceremony and reception indoors, which worked out very well, but the outside ceremony space is beautiful as well. We had people from 12 different states across the country at our wedding so our guests really appreciated the beautiful Texas scenery at Boulder. Love, love, loved every single thing about it!
With the greatest amount of pride and pleasure, we wholeheartedly recommend Boulder Springs Event Venue for your special event. Our daughter recently married the man of her dreams at Stonehaven Hall. The wedding was absolutely spectacular! The outside ceremony area is breathtakingly beautiful. One of the most endearing memories I have is that of my husband and I walking our daughter over the beautiful bridge and down the long flagstone aisle as the musicians played “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” I felt like I was floating down the aisle! The expansive outside ceremony area easily accommodated all 320 of our guests, as did the hall itself. The majestic hall has such a unique character—one that combines elegance with a true Texas flavor. We enjoyed enhancing its natural beauty with ambient up-lighting that brought out the subtle crevices and contours of the stone walls. Boulder Springs allows you to bring in vendors of your choice—one of the features we really appreciate. We had top-notch vendors that provided nothing but professional service and superior quality. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening, thanks to the venue itself, the hospitable vendors, and the love that prevailed. Without a doubt, Anita, the Boulder Springs general manager, was instrumental in making our daughter’s wedding exceptional and memorable. Her hospitality and expertise gave us a great sense of security. We are very grateful that our daughter’s wedding memories were made at Boulder Springs. We will always feel that we are part of the Boulder Springs family.
Boulder Springs is the perfect venue to get married at. The ceremony area over looks the gorgeous hill country and the reception hall is great if you are having a big wedding. Absolutely breath taking. It has a huge bridal suite for everyone get ready in, great bathroom for all of your wedding guest, and the staff is amazing. They keep in contact with you over the wedding process and answer your questions immediately. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day without their help!
My husband and I were married at Boulder Springs 6/14/14 in Stonehaven Hall. The Ceremony Site was beautifully landscaped and the reception hall was prestine. Not only was the location georgous, but the service was aswesome! Patrica and Audrey answered numerous emails and phone calls from me since I was planning the wedding long distance. Patrica was also on site the entire day. She consistently made sure we had everything we needed and gave suggestions when we were deciding on decor. While the venue was a little more expensive than we would have liked it was worth every penny. We could not have been more happy with our wedding day! Thank you Boulder Springs for making our dream wedding a reality!
We hesitated when we looked at the cost, but the view and experience was worth every penny! Not to mention the flexibility before, during, and now after our wedding. They even host events for you to come back and sell your decorations! I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Boulder springs could not have been any more helpful. Such sweet people always willing to accommodate. The venue is already gorgeous and the staff and management there make it 100xs better. Would recommend this venue to anyone!
Such a beautiful place with natural beauty. Boulder Springs was great. They were wonderful to work with. I got my venue during the week for less.
Our daughter’s wedding took place just one week ago, and we are still talking about how beautiful it all was. This was in no small part due to the choice of Boulder Springs as the venue. We chose the venue a full year ago and never looked back! The overall rustic feel of the stone and wood structures set in the hills near New Braunfels provided a stunning setting for her special day.
Add to that the overall planning structure provided by the venue, and you have not only a beautiful but an affordable way to give your daughter and your new son-in-law a wedding to remember. Boulder Springs provides you with a list of recommended vendors, many of which I used and was pleased with. Access to the venue during the planning period was great, as was the all-day access on the day of the wedding.
Just one thing to note: Boulder Springs has two sites for ceremony and reception (Stonehaven Hall and Legacy Hall). We were in Stonehaven while Legacy had a wedding as well, at about the same time as ours. During our ceremony, the rap music from Legacy (I assume from a DJ) was cranked up to the point that it detracted from and made it difficult to hear our own ceremony. A nice addition to the contract terms for Boulder Springs would be a reasonable restriction on loud music at the outdoor ceremony site.
With that said, I would recommend Boulder Springs to anyone looking for a beautiful and reasonably priced venue for such a special event.
Boulder Springs was a beautiful venue for my daughter's wedding. It is so pretty and well maintained that very little needs to be done for decor. Anita and Colleen were so easy to work with. I highly recommend this venue!
Anita at Boulder Springs was great to work with throughout our entire wedding planning process. She was accommidating and worked with us to make sure I had everything I wanted at my wedding. Additionally, I visited the venue multiple times before the wedding and she was always avaialble to answer questions. I would reccomend any wedding or event be held at Boudler Springs.
I have to commend Anita Roehr and her staff for all their help and guidance. They all took that extra step to make this a smooth and memorable event. Calls and e-mails were all returned in a timely fashion. I just can't say enough. The location was beautiful and I highly recommend anyone in need of a beautiful country setting for their event to consider Boulder Springs.
The staff was very responsive to any questions/concerns I had leading up to our wedding. Anita and her ladies were lovely. I enjoyed working with them. All of our family and friends were thrilled with the location. Even in the winter, the setting is stunning! There was plenty of room for our guests and our vendors had no difficulty working at the site. Most of the recommended vendors were fabulous (especially, BarMasters of Tx, and Renee with On Location Hair & Makeup). I would do it all again and exactly the same!
Made us put up and take down all the chairs and tables
Thank you for the feedback, our apologies that this was not communicated more clearly during contract signing. We do ask our clients to use the online seating planner to create a guide for set up to be easier. This is the client's responsibility or...
We couldn't have asked for a better venue to hold our wedding! Anita was always there to answer my questions and very sweet when doing so :) I was completely comfortable while getting ready in the bridal suite and my guests truly loved the landscape and building itself. It even had some guests thinking about holding their own events there. I think having all the tables and chairs fully accessible is something that sets Boulder Springs apart from other venues and as a bride that is one less thing to stress about. Boulder Springs also holds a lot of open houses where vendors have booths to promote their services, which is where I found many of my vendors, and bridal sales so that brides can sell their leftover wedding materials to other brides. Boulder Springs offers everything you could ask for!
Going a little over our venue budget to have the wedding at Boulder Springs was one of the best decisions I made.
I loved having my wedding at boulder springs. It was beautiful. The venue is so pretty all on its own. It doesn't take much to decorate. The staff was great. I will definitely recommend.
The grass wasn't watered regularly, so there were yellow patches...I had visited about 10 times before and every time the grass was perfect, until a month before when the sprinkler system went out :/ It was still beautiful and pictures can also be edited ;)
Boulder Springs is a beautiful rustic venue which was perfect for our Texas wedding. We got married outside at Legacy Hall and the view of the hill country was amazing. Even at 5pm in the evening on a July day, there was a nice breeze. The limestone staircase leading out to the site was absolutely beautiful for me to make my grand entrance. The ceremony site is so beautiful it didn’t need a lot of decorations because of its natural beauty.
The reception site was perfect because it has the large hall with the beautiful exposed trusses as well as lantern lights to create a romantic feeling that could fit any theme. We had plenty of room for tables, a dance floor, and still room for the bar and buffet lines without crowding our guests who were sitting nearby. Our guest count was around 200 and there was plenty of room. Even with all of our guests and my dress, the AC kept the hall cool and comfortable the whole time.
The flexibility of the venue with choosing venders was a selling point because we were able to find vendors that met our needs and could come in and make our day perfect. The all-day rental made it possible to do a lot of the decorations ourselves that morning and be able to go back to the hotel and get ready before the wedding. This venue is great for do it yourself brides. I was able to come up to the site a few months before and count and measure everything, so I could plan my decoration ideas and site layout. Anita the site manager is a great contact and was always available to answer our questions. Anita also posts pictures of weddings that take place at the site on Facebook, so you can see how other brides decorated the hall. This helped a lot in deciding how the hall would look with the number of guests we were going to have.
My only concern was having to use specific bartenders when wanting to serve alcohol. Everything else was amazing!
