I didn't even consider anywhere else for my wedding venue! Boulder Springs has a trustworthy staff, is affordable, amazingly beautiful, very flexible with vendors, and you don't have to clean the hall when it's over (just make sure that everything is out when you go)!
Our $700 camera got left there after the wedding on accident, and the staff kept it locked in a closet until we could pick it up. It had our first dance on it (which was choreographed), and we really wanted it for the honeymoon. So we called, left messages, emailed, but the quickest response was via Facebook. It's great to know that there are several ways to get in touch with someone there.
I saw this venue in a magazine when I was planning my wedding, and I was hooked! I was concerned that it would look nothing like the magazine or that maybe they focused on the one good part of the venue, but everything about it was absolutely spectacular! I didn't want to look at anything else, but I made myself go to two other places (didn't even compare). Between the three places that I visited, this was the most flexible, the most affordable, and the most beautiful!
There are a few things that Boulder Springs will no do/provide for your wedding, but Anita will let you know what those things are (none of them are unreasonable). For example, you can bring your own alcohol, but have to use their bartenders (which aren't included in the price). She is very open and sends helpful reminders (high chairs not provided...I would have never thought of that). The venue does not come with a day of consultant. The staff will make sure that the hall gets cleaned up which is nice. You are only responsible for setting up (get a day of consultant to do this) and making sure that everything is gone by the end of the night. They will put tables and chairs up, sweep, mop, empty the trash cans...none of that is your responsibility!
We got married in August 2014 at the Legacy Hall at Boulder Springs. Audrey was the consultant who helped us with the event. She was there to provide any help I needed day and night leading to the day of my wedding. Even though there was a bit of a drive to get out to the venue, my guests could not stop complimenting how beautiful the venue was inside and out. They loved the hill country atmosphere and told me that it was well worth the drive. Even though there was another wedding at the other hall next door, we never heard any noise from them or had any problems with the traffic. We had close to 400 guests and everyone had a great time. It has been several weeks since my event and I'm still getting compliments about how gorgeous the place was. I paid the lowest price of the season, because it was in August, but it was cool enough inside the hall that it didn't seem to bother anyone. In the evening it got cooler and since it is the Hill Country, you could feel a slight breeze. I absolutely recommend Boulder Springs and their staff!!
First and foremost, the staff of Boulder Springs deserves an enormous amount of love! They took such good care of my wife and I throughout the entire process. We were a DIY wedding couple and trying to keep budget as tight as possible, resulting in a barrage of questions and ideas. Audrey and her team were responsive and worked with us in every way they could. They always remembered who we were as people, not just as a contract. Day of, they went above and beyond to help with some of the classic wedding day vendor emergencies that are bound to pop up, and helped keep stress off of us as much as they could.
The venue was second to none! Beautiful landscaping and grass despite the intense summer heat (July 3rd wedding). With very little decoration, this venue served as an absolutely immaculate setting for a day that my wife and I will cherish forever. We drove an hour and forty-five minutes from home to use Boulder Springs, and every guest complimented how stunning the venue was. The drive was hardly even remembered by anyone.
Being that it was a very tight budget DIY wedding, we looked at every venue we could from North Austin to San Antonio. Their terms were the most relaxed and easiest to work with in terms of dollar amount and hours you have for the venue.
Hotels are all over the area providing everything from a big family friendly resort to small cabins in the woods. So you can send family to one place just a few miles down the road and have your own wedding night in a cabin by yourselves (that's what we did).
The only thing about Boulder Springs that I don't like is that it's so far from home and I don't know when the next time I'll get to be there for an event. Such an amazing place managed by such amazing people.
Love you Boulder Springs!
Boulder Springs is an absolutely beautiful spot, every one of my guests have commented on the beauty of the venue as one of their favorite places in Texas. The staff at Boulder was easy to work with, and are very hands off throughout the process, the only strict requests are no sparklers/ fireworks and that you use one of their 2 designated bar-tending companies, other than that they let you choose all your vendors.
They were very helpful with directing us to vendors who they have worked with in the past, as well as setting up "garage sales" of where previous brides of the venue can sell their wedding items to future brides of the venue.
I would absolutely recommend using them, and if you do, make sure to check out all the photos on their facebook page so you can see all the various layouts that people have used as well as different decorating ideas
This venue was perfect! We were so blessed to have had our wedding at this venue.
They have a wonderful outdoor ceremony area with a beautiful isle. It is truly picture perfect.
The reception hall is beautiful. We decided to make our grand entrance from the beautiful staircase that leads to the reception.
They set up all tables and chairs, and put them away at the end of the night.
To begin, I was engaged for just under three months - it was the quick, stress-free destination vs. big traditional wedding compromise we could agree on. We found a venue (NOT Boulder Springs) that we thought was great just south of Austin, but unfortunately discovered about five or six weeks before our wedding that it was double booked. I digress.
That's when Boulder Springs absolutely saved my skin. We had already sent invitations to and had received RSVP's from dozens of our friends and family. There was no uninviting or changing of dates possible. So I found myself frantically searching in the San Antonio area (where my husband's family lives and my family loves). When I found the Boulder Springs website I knew I had to look and prayed, hoped, begged the universe, meditated, and prayed some more that they would be available for my date. I went for a tour and fell even further in love. The building was beautiful. The grounds were stunning. The long isle offered me time with my father on my wedding day to enjoy some time together (not to mention plenty of fabulous photos!). The stairs gave my new husband and I an amazing entrance (and even more fabulous photos!).
The decorating I did included table cloths on the tables and simple floral centerpieces and still everyone talked about how great the venue looked all evening - which clearly had nothing to do with my decoration. Yes, I had a couple cute baskets on the side tables holding the glow sticks and matches, but does that even really count?
Each member of the staff was friendly and helpful. I loved that I could text or call with my questions and always got quick responses.
Be aware that they require you to use one of two approved bartenders. Not a big deal, but worth being aware of. They do not, however, require a minimum vendor budget. Can I get an "Amen"?!
Truly, anyone who wants to get married in the San Antonio area needs to go to Boulder Springs. I cannot say enough good things about it. From the moment they absolutely saved my hid-end to the second my husband and I made our grand exit, we were thrilled. Couldn't have asked for more!
Boulder Springs is the perfect venue to get married at. The ceremony area over looks the gorgeous hill country and the reception hall is great if you are having a big wedding. Absolutely breath taking. It has a huge bridal suite for everyone get ready in, great bathroom for all of your wedding guest, and the staff is amazing. They keep in contact with you over the wedding process and answer your questions immediately. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day without their help!
My husband and I were married at Boulder Springs 6/14/14 in Stonehaven Hall. The Ceremony Site was beautifully landscaped and the reception hall was prestine. Not only was the location georgous, but the service was aswesome! Patrica and Audrey answered numerous emails and phone calls from me since I was planning the wedding long distance. Patrica was also on site the entire day. She consistently made sure we had everything we needed and gave suggestions when we were deciding on decor. While the venue was a little more expensive than we would have liked it was worth every penny. We could not have been more happy with our wedding day! Thank you Boulder Springs for making our dream wedding a reality!
We hesitated when we looked at the cost, but the view and experience was worth every penny! Not to mention the flexibility before, during, and now after our wedding. They even host events for you to come back and sell your decorations! I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Boulder springs could not have been any more helpful. Such sweet people always willing to accommodate. The venue is already gorgeous and the staff and management there make it 100xs better. Would recommend this venue to anyone!
Such a beautiful place with natural beauty. Boulder Springs was great. They were wonderful to work with. I got my venue during the week for less.
Our daughter’s wedding took place just one week ago, and we are still talking about how beautiful it all was. This was in no small part due to the choice of Boulder Springs as the venue. We chose the venue a full year ago and never looked back! The overall rustic feel of the stone and wood structures set in the hills near New Braunfels provided a stunning setting for her special day.
Add to that the overall planning structure provided by the venue, and you have not only a beautiful but an affordable way to give your daughter and your new son-in-law a wedding to remember. Boulder Springs provides you with a list of recommended vendors, many of which I used and was pleased with. Access to the venue during the planning period was great, as was the all-day access on the day of the wedding.
Just one thing to note: Boulder Springs has two sites for ceremony and reception (Stonehaven Hall and Legacy Hall). We were in Stonehaven while Legacy had a wedding as well, at about the same time as ours. During our ceremony, the rap music from Legacy (I assume from a DJ) was cranked up to the point that it detracted from and made it difficult to hear our own ceremony. A nice addition to the contract terms for Boulder Springs would be a reasonable restriction on loud music at the outdoor ceremony site.
With that said, I would recommend Boulder Springs to anyone looking for a beautiful and reasonably priced venue for such a special event.
We had our January wedding at Boulder Springs and a month and a half later, we are STILL getting texts and emails from family and friends raving about Boulder Springs and how beautiful our wedding was. Anita at Boulder is an absolute pleasure to work with. She was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the whole planning process. We planned our wedding from out of state. Anita could not have been more helpful. We can't say enough good things about the venue and staff. You will definitely not be sorry if you choose to have your wedding and/or reception at Boulder Springs! We had our ceremony and reception indoors, which worked out very well, but the outside ceremony space is beautiful as well. We had people from 12 different states across the country at our wedding so our guests really appreciated the beautiful Texas scenery at Boulder. Love, love, loved every single thing about it!
Boulder Springs was a beautiful venue for my daughter's wedding. It is so pretty and well maintained that very little needs to be done for decor. Anita and Colleen were so easy to work with. I highly recommend this venue!
Anita at Boulder Springs was great to work with throughout our entire wedding planning process. She was accommidating and worked with us to make sure I had everything I wanted at my wedding. Additionally, I visited the venue multiple times before the wedding and she was always avaialble to answer questions. I would reccomend any wedding or event be held at Boudler Springs.
I have to commend Anita Roehr and her staff for all their help and guidance. They all took that extra step to make this a smooth and memorable event. Calls and e-mails were all returned in a timely fashion. I just can't say enough. The location was beautiful and I highly recommend anyone in need of a beautiful country setting for their event to consider Boulder Springs.
The staff was very responsive to any questions/concerns I had leading up to our wedding. Anita and her ladies were lovely. I enjoyed working with them. All of our family and friends were thrilled with the location. Even in the winter, the setting is stunning! There was plenty of room for our guests and our vendors had no difficulty working at the site. Most of the recommended vendors were fabulous (especially, BarMasters of Tx, and Renee with On Location Hair & Makeup). I would do it all again and exactly the same!
Made us put up and take down all the chairs and tables
Thank you for the feedback, our apologies that this was not communicated more clearly during contract signing. We do ask our clients to use the online seating planner to create a guide for set up to be easier. This is the client's responsibility or...
We couldn't have asked for a better venue to hold our wedding! Anita was always there to answer my questions and very sweet when doing so :) I was completely comfortable while getting ready in the bridal suite and my guests truly loved the landscape and building itself. It even had some guests thinking about holding their own events there. I think having all the tables and chairs fully accessible is something that sets Boulder Springs apart from other venues and as a bride that is one less thing to stress about. Boulder Springs also holds a lot of open houses where vendors have booths to promote their services, which is where I found many of my vendors, and bridal sales so that brides can sell their leftover wedding materials to other brides. Boulder Springs offers everything you could ask for!
Going a little over our venue budget to have the wedding at Boulder Springs was one of the best decisions I made.
