Brilliant earth is good at creating custom jewelry at reasonable prices. I am so happy with my ring. It is a stunning platinum channel setting with small princess cut sapphires and diamonds. It works perfectly with my husband's band which is tungsten carbide with a small sapphire on it (He got it on amazon, go figure!)
Brilliant Earth has a great selection of jewelry for both the bride and groom. It is a great store for the bride and groom that want to go for a more earth-friendly option for wedding bands. They have great service and a great return policy. My only complaint is that, if you are above a certain size, there is no warranty and it is a final sale.
We loved the simplicity of our rings and the ease of ordering!
When I my husband and I were looking at rings we knew we wanted something a little different. He is not a fan of diamonds and really wanted something with color. We immediately fell in love with this company. They use recycled metals, work towards creating an ethical and sustainable jewelry industry and they donate 5% of their profits to charities. With that we were sold. My blue sapphire vintage inspired ring was created by us and shines like a star. This is a wonderful company to work with.
We both found gorgeous and unique wedding bands here, and feel wonderful about the fact that they are recycled white gold. An appointment is necessary when you go to their location in SF, and it is worth it because they took as much time as we needed. They sized our rings and shipped within a week of our visit. They are perfect and I'm sure we'll be back for future jewelry purchases.
My husband purchases a beautiful conflict-free diamond engagement ring from Brilliant Earth. The quality was flawless and the setting very elegant. We ordered wedding rings as well and customer service was very helpful to us in making selections. I would highly recommend Brilliant Earth.
We went with the Low Profile Matched Set in 18K White Gold with a Princess cut diamond, and I love the heck out of my ring! It's simple and beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I would absolutely go there again for other jewelry purchases.
Beautiful rings. Ordered online and delivery was very secure.
All of our rings came from Brilliant Earth. I am extremely pleased with the quality of my engagement ring and wedding band, however, I cannot say the same for my husband's ring. After only a day or two of wearing it, it had scratches all over it...though he'd done nothing more than sit on the beach!! We picked his because it had the matte finish, which we were told would not show scratches. The matte bit was actually the worst scratched part. The worst part of all of this is that they haven't even offered to fix it--they told us that we could send it to them for "an evaluation," then they would let us know if they would cover it or not. I would not recommend them for groom's rings at all...especially for the price we paid for his ring!
Our rings are beautiful! We love their selection, and I chose one from that. My husband wanted something that they didn't have, so he called them, and they worked on a custom design together. It turned out awesome as well. What we love is that their stones are ethically sourced and the metal they use is recycled without sacrificing quality and beauty.
we chose my engagement ring together, we wanted to find one that was unique and wanted to make sure that the diamond we chose was ethically sourced. brilliant earth has so many great choices, we highly recoomend them!
I wasn't interested in supporting warlords and the DeBeers monopoly when it came to my engagement ring. My fiance found Brilliant Earth online, and we met with them in their San Francisco office. We chose a fabulous sapphire from Sri Lanka and custom-designed both of my rings and my fiance's ring. The design process is lengthy, and their turn-around time is not always what they promise, which is why they get 4 stars instead of 5. But they put together CAD drawings to show you your ring in design, and then they build a wax model so you can see it in 3D. After your approval of all design, they start the metal work. The entire process was about 8 weeks from the time we met with them to the time I had my ring. It's worth it in the end, because they do beautiful work, and my ring is one-of-a-kind.
So here's the story. My husband wanted to buy me an engagement ring, but ever since I was in highschool I was determined not to get a ring with a diamond in it. Initially because I thought diamonds and stones took away from the entire meaning of a ring- it's a circle, means forever. Why stick an overpriced rock on top and get all hyped up over it? As I grew older, I was less than impressed with the ethics of diamond mining, and even more determined to get a stoneless ring whenever I got married. My man wanted to respect my wishes but felt like a stoneless ring would reflect poorly on him (like people would gossip about him being too cheap to get a diamond ring). So, he did his research and came up with Brilliant Earth- a responsible, ethical jeweler who provides ethical mining of it's stones, uses recycled metal and incorporates sapphires in a lot of their rings (my favorite stone- NOT A DIAMOND). I was utterly impressed with the man's research and ability to pick out a ring I love (with no input from me whatsoever), and his choice in band- it's a simple single blue sapphire flanked on each side with a Celtic trinity knot.
I loved the ring and company so much that we chose Brilliant Earth to do our wedding bands as well. My husband chose a simple hammered band. I decided to have an ivy design band soldered to my engagement ring- the result is absolutely beautiful. I frequently receive praises on the beauty and originality of my ring. And all three rings were very affordable.
The consultant at the Brilliant Earth office was very helpful in helping us pick out our bands, size our rings and arrange for our engravings. We have a very quirky sense of humor- I engraved "Nicki's B*tch" on the inside of his ring, and he engraved "Sammich, woman" on mine. I expected to get a lot of shocked, scandalized looks from the company consultants on that one, and feared they just simply wouldn't do it. The consultant's face was priceless. She very calmly and politely asked, "You know this is permanent right?" And that was that. I love that they respected our odd request.
The rings arrived via mail a few weeks later, safely and discreetly in a mostly unlabeled brown box. Absolutely no problems whatsoever.
My husband proposed to me with a stunning Brilliant Earth diamond ring. He had been researching ring shopping online and stumbled upon a picture of the ring. He didn't want to buy one online but he kept coming back to it, and I'm glad he did. The design he picked is perfect for me and the cut makes the diamond sparkle like no tomorrow! We purchased a diamond studded ring guard from Shane Co. to complete the look as my wedding ring, and it is gorgeous all together . I can't wait for my kids to grow up seeing it. "Wow, that's Mommy's wedding ring!" (My mom's ring is what inspired me to get a ring guard for mine.)
I was delighted when, after I said yes, my man explained all the details about Brilliant Earth. I was proud to own an ethically mined diamond (people were treated right and earned fair wages harvesting it, unlike with blood diamonds) and that the gold was recycled to reduce mining impacts. It doesn't look anything less than brilliant. The wooden ring box it comes in is adorable and reusable - I store my ring in it all the time. The website offers many unique and matching designs for men, women, engagement rings, and wedding bands (but no ring guards). Customer service is friendly and helpful and they give you a free overnight shipping label for a complimentary resizing if its within 30 days of the purchase. It's hard to part with your ring, and I had to send mine back during the holidays, so it took about a week and a half for it to return to me (but that's because of the labor time and holiday orders ahead of me). The ring looked and fit great after resizing.
The only downside to BE is that they don't have a retail store and, to keep their warranty, you must send your ring back for repairs. Obviously they let you get your ring cleaned anywhere, and they give you a free eco-friendly and nontoxic ring cleaning solution and bottle to start you off.
All in all, thank you Brilliant Earth! And thank you hubby! Men, your wife will thank you when you choose Brilliant Earth :)
Since my engagement ring came from Brilliant Earth, we wanted our wedding rings to follow suit. We picked out gorgeous hammered bands - his in white gold, and mine in yellow - and they're just so perfect for us. But it was so hard to choose! BE has incredible selection, and everything is so beautiful (and it helps to know that the gold is recycled and the diamonds are non-conflict!). I was torn between two rings, and the people at Brilliant Earth were so kind and helpful - they sent photos of each ring next to the ring we'd chosen for him, and alongside a ring that was similar to my engagement ring so I could see how they stacked up. It made my decision easy! It was as good as going into a store! We love our rings. :)
My wedding band was purchased online through Brilliant Earth. They were great. They contacted me before and after my purchase and were extremely helpful. My ring is very unique, with a vintage feel. Absolutely beautiful and I love how I was able to get a ring sized for smaller than a size 4.
Both my engagement ring and our wedding rings came from Brilliant Earth, since we wanted rings with less environmental impact and diamonds from Canada. When my now husband bought my engagement ring, he was able to go to the show room and pick out the setting and the diamond. He was impressed with the experience. So when it came to buying our bands, we went to them for a very simple gold band for me and a really neat brushed gold band for him. They were easy to work with over the phone. Even though I was working with an internet company, it felt personal, which I liked a lot.
My partner and I spent many months drooling over our rings before we ordered them. Before ordering, we had the complementary sizers sent to us, and a customer service rep personally emailed me to offer her help. When we did finally order our rings they came on exactly the day that BE said they would. And they were gorgeous. The only problem was that my ring was too small. It had a wide band But the sizers they sent were all for narrow bands. I rushed out to a local jeweler and got sized with a wide band (just needed a half size larger. The customer service rep sent us a shipping return label and we were able to get my ring sent back, resized, and returned to us in under a week. Though it was a little stressful, everything went smoothly. My ring now fits perfectly! I knocked a star off on quality, only because I couldn't knock a half star off. Now that've been wearing my ring for a month it has become really scratched on the underside, on the sizing bar. I have not been particularly hard on it, but it seems to easily scratch. The tip of the ring is still gorgeous, however. And my partner's ring doesn't seem to be scratching the way mine does. hers is super sparkly and gorgeous .... I'm a tad jealous! :)
Beautiful rings. Great quality.
If you want a conflict free diamond and an environmentally friendly company this is it! The staff was fantastically helpful and we couldn't be more helpful! I LOVE my ring so much!
