I can't say enough good things about Ceresville Mansion. Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful, and I felt that the whole event was truly an amazing experience with them.
Aside from the absolutely beautiful venue (and you just have to visit their website to see how amazing it is) and the wonderful service Ceresville also has the best food I have ever had at a wedding. My guests are still talking about it almost a month later. (I was also impressed with how thorough they were with taking care of one of my guests allergy restrictions.) And almost every person I've talked to since the wedding has told me they loved the chocolate-dipped strawberries they served with our cake!
Most importantly, not only did they make my husband and I feel special on our wedding day, they really go out of their way to make the whole family feel special. We all had a wonderful, stress-free day!
I fell in love with Ceresville from the first time I visited and I didn't even look at other venues. They have great service and take care of every detail. It was pricey and I wish I had more time there on my wedding day.
The first time I saw the mansion I knew I was in love! It is just BREATHTAKING! All of the rooms were just gorgeous and when I saw the pergola and fountain on the terrace, I was completely SOLD. If you are looking for a lovely, romantic, PERFECT venue, this is the ONE! The staff at Ceresville were so accommodating and helpful with all the planning and preparations! Jenni, my coordinator blew me away at how fast she always responded to my emails, even when I'd have about 50 million questions! They seriously go above and beyond for their brides over there. I don't have a single regret with choosing Ceresville for our big day. Everyone that was there to make sure our day went off without a hitch! I can't thank you guys enough!!
Ceresville Mansion was and is everything that we could ever ask for. The venue, and those who work there and helped made our wedding what it was is like butter to our bread.
First off - we want to give Jenni a huge kudos for EVERYTHING. As an out of town bride, you can imagine how stressful planning a wedding could be. Nope. Jenni made the planning process absolutely stress free. Whether it be conducting meetings over FaceTime, or corresponding through email, Jenni was there for us from beginning to end. Second - the venue itself is beautiful, and perfect in every way. All of our guests couldnt stop talking about how breathtaking and amazing the venue looked. Also, the food prepared was beyond our expectations, and we couldnt have been more happy with our meal and appetizer choices, and how they came out.
The staff at Ceresville Mansion highly succeeded our expectations and they truly made our wedding that much more special. They made sure everyone was taken care of, happy, and stress-free. Also, when it came to setting up for the ceremony and reception, everything was set up perfect and how we imagined it would be. We are so happy that we chose this venue as our wedding destination and would recommend Ceresville to anyone in the area, or out of town! Thank you!
Ceresville surpassed my expectations. They were on top of everything since the very beginning and helped me stay on track. Service is amazing, the food is to die for, and the venue is absolutely gorgeous. I was able to show up at my wedding and really enjoy it with no worries at all. Loved Ceresville!
I couldn't believe how awesome the staff was for my big day! Very helpful, hardworking, and efficient. I didn't have to worry about a thing because they were so organized and kept a smooth flow. The venue is gorgeous for an outdoor ceremony and photography. The owner is also the cook and the food is amazing! If you want a venue/catering combo where you don't have to stress over a thing (the wedding coordinators made planning super easy!), this is a no brainer!
When I was 16 I came to Ceresville for a wedding ceremony (did not stay for reception) and ever since then this venue always stuck out in my mind. I did not know the name of the venue I just remembered the beautiful pergola, reflecting pool, & atmosphere. Ever since then I wanted an outdoor wedding.
When it was time to look for venues I searched and search then I asked my mom if she had remembered this particular venue. She remembered the location and looked it up and sure it enough it was the venue I had remembered.
The next morning we called and set an appointment to check the venue. They were very helpful with everything. If you are military I would strongly suggest this venue. They have a great military rate.
Since day one they have been so helpful. Jessica was amazing to work with, she always responded in a timely manner & made me feel comfortable asking her anything & everything!
I strongly advise going to a tasting so that you can get an idea of the different & delicious food they offer. I needed a vegetarian option & they were more than happy to make the vegetarian option for the night of the tasting. The food is amazing so if you aren't able to make it to a tasting have no worries the food will be great.
--The tasting night also gives one an idea of how an event will be set up.
Ceresville is a very organized & helpful venue. They made wedding planning a breeze. Rehearsal could not have gone any better. It was very stress free thanks to Jennifer! Jennifer made the rehearsal & our wedding day as stress free as could be.
It is nice they have an option for rain & they also let you have the choice to have it indoor or outdoor depending on the weather. It almost rained during our ceremony but we wanted to have it outside rain or shine! (there would be seats for people inside)
I am beyond happy with how our wedding went & everything Ceresville in preparation for it. They made our wedding more beautiful & enjoyable than I could imagine.

From start to finish, Ceresville Mansion served as a fantastic venue. We worked mainly with Jenni, who is incredibly experienced in wedding planning and knows Ceresville inside and out. She put us completely at ease through the whole process. Melissa, our day-of coordinator was equally calm and collected. She was incredibly organized and made all of our family members feel comfortable during the rehearsal and the day of. In addition to being a gorgeous venue, especially for outdoor weddings, the whole staff was incredibly professional and I cannot not think of a single thing that went wrong.
I don't even know where to begin in praising Ceresville Mansion for how beautiful of a venue it is, how wonderful all of its staff members are, and for how incredible the food was. I found Ceresville in a search on this site and was immediately struck by all of the fantastic reviews it received. From the moment we arrived at the Mansion last September to tour it, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. We were immediately greeted by Chef Tom, and were directed to where we were to meet our wedding coordinator Jess. We knew at that initial meeting that we were going to have our wedding there. We had toured countless other venues, and no other place quite compared to Ceresville with the quality of service received for the cost, the warmth and sincere personal interest the staff seem to take for your wedding, and for how beautiful the venue is. Throughout the entire planning process, I was in constant contact with my coordinator Jess. She always returned emails within a few hours (literally!) and was always more than willing to go above and beyond to help me in my planning (e.g., she emailed me photos of the votive candles that the Mansion supplies so that I could compare them to what my florist was considering on bringing). I also was in contact with Jess on several occasions to alter our initial contract, and all of the changes were accommodated with no issue! For example, we requested to move our ceremony time up by half an hour so that we would have more daylight for photos, we requested to extend the open bar for an extra hour but not do the super premium bar package that automatically comes with the Saturday evening wedding package, we requested a bowl of crab dip to be provided to the wedding party at the beginning of cocktail hour so that we could eat some before we went outside for photos, and we requested to be allowed early access (3.5 hours early) to the Mansion so that my bridesmaids and I could get hair and makeup done there. On the day of the rehearsal, I met my day-of wedding coordinator Jen, who ensured that we were where we supposed to be at all times. She was absolutely wonderful!! Finally, on the wedding day itself, I can say with utmost confidence that EVERY single staff member at the Mansion helped to ensure that I had the fairy tale wedding of my dreams. Whenever I needed something (a drink, help with re-bustling my train on my dress), there was a staff member within earshot to assist. They even helped my Maid of Honor and parents pack up our car so that when we left for the night all of our stuff was already in the car and ready to go. I would 100 percent recommend this venue to any bride who wants to have a minimal stress wedding planning experience. I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere else, and can only hope that I have some other large event or party to host in the future that I can have at the Mansion because it was truly that wonderful!!
Our wedding was in early October and the event turned out to be more than I could have ever imagined. The weather was awesome so we still were able to have the outdoor wedding we planned even though the venue is ready for any last minute weather back up plans. I didn’t even use a wedding planner because with Alison Lynn's help I was able to plan every detail to a T. and every step was executed perfectly the day of. The food was excellent, the service was amazing and everyone enjoyed themselves young and old. My husband was military then so we used the military package which was everything anyone could need as far as value is concerned. Not to mention Frederick was a world away from our hometown in Baltimore city, so the weekend turned in to our own local "destination" wedding per say. Our guests took advantage of the small town amenities, and tourism and 2 years later it’s still an event my friends and family rave about.
The Ceresville Mansion is a very elegant wedding venue, and their staff are very very professional. Because we live out of state, we had to organize our wedding at a long distance. Our event coordinator Stephanie was really helpful and efficient in helping us organize the wedding. The food there was great, the outdoor ceremony location is very beautiful (especially in summer). Everybody had a great night there. BTW, their suggested vendors are also very good.
As soon as we got engaged, my fiance and I loved Ceresville. The location is gorgeous, the food is amazing, and the staff would be hard to beat. Our guests LOVED it, because there was plenty of room to roam and mingle, and their non-professional pictures were stunning simply because the grounds are impeccable. Having the upstairs retreat area for the bridal party was actually more important that I had expected - it's amazing how tired and overwhelmed you can become and the space to catch your breath is a welcome relief. There were a few miscommunications about a few details on the day of, but they were minor and easily rectified. The "bridal stalker" was really quite helpful. I would also highly recommend taking Ceresville's advice about other vendors, as they really are partners rather than just vendors.
I got married at Ceresville Mansion on Friday and it completely exceeded my expectations! I couldn't be happier with the venue I selected to host the most important day of my life thus far.
Originally, since I am from Baltimore, I had settled on a venue in my mind years before even becoming engaged. My husband and I decided to scope out some other options though. Venue visit after venue visit, we kept coming back to the idea of Ceresville Mansion because it was so beautiful and the staff was fantastic. Since I recently graduated with a degree in Historic Preservation, the historic home really appealed to my senses.
The food was incredible and guests have not stopped raving about the experience as a whole. I cannot say how grateful we are to the staff who completely made us feel at ease and removed all stresses of the day.
Just before the wedding was to begin, it was discovered that there was the issue of a missing wedding cake! When the bakery was less than helpful in resolving the issue, Ceresville stepped in and ensured we had a beautiful, delicious cake.
Although I am sure I am missing some praise, I cannot thank the staff enough for a beautiful venue, and wonderful time. Ceresville Mansion is perfect and should be considered by any couple seeking to have a ceremony and reception that is beyond anything you could possibly imagine
My husband and I got married at Ceresville Mansion on May 24th 2013. We couldn't have chosen a better venue. Not only is it a beautiful place for a wedding (inside and outside) but the staff who help plan your wedding are incredible! I was a bride who didn't really know how to plan a wedding at all, but our advisor, Jenni, made sure that everything was taken care of! At first I was stressed about planning our wedding, but with the help of Ceresville- there was no need to stress! We went through FABnet to pick our vendors which made it so simple to pick out vendors! Plus, we got upgrades through our vendors because we chose 3 vendors off the FABnet list! And the vendors we chose from there were all amazing. Literally, no complaints. So Ceresville steered us in the right direction! They even kept in contact with our vendors up until the wedding! On the day of our wedding, the weather wasn't the greatest. They said I could wait and see by a hour before the wedding if I wanted to have it inside our outside! How awesome is that? We ended up having it outside and the sun picked through right as the ceremony started! The food was amazing at Ceresville as well- hors d'oeuvres and entrees! On the day of the wedding, we had a "wedding/bridal stalker" who was always there if we needed anything-drinks, food, even super glue when we needed it! Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives! Thank you, Ceresville Mansion!
Jenni and the staff at Ceresville Mansion have provided two weddings now for our family. My older daughter was married there in 2007, and the younger one in May of 2013. Both experiences were a pleasure from our very first meeting with Jenni, to the final goodbyes as they helped us to load gifts and flowers into our car at the end of the evening. The staff at Ceresville are highly professional, skilled, flexible and very pleasant to work with. They provide a level of support that leads to a beautiful wedding with a minimum of stress. I always felt that they were working in the background to ensure that nothing fell through the cracks or was forgotten. This allowed us to just relax and enjoy this highly memorable celebration with our guests. I especially appreciated the wonderful working relationships that the Ceresville staff have developed with other local wedding vendors, such as the DJ, limo company, florist, etc. This made everything work so smoothly. And the food is fantastic!
We received so many compliments from friends and family who felt that Ceresville Mansion provided a venue with just the right combination of elegance and fun.
I could go on and on about how excellent Ceresville was from the very beginning of the wedding planning process until the very end (they even sent a personal "Congratulations" and "Thank you" card after we got married this past March.)
The process of planning a wedding that is going to be everything you hoped it would be is a daunting and stressful task. But through every step of the process from the very first day we went to check out the venue Jessica and the staff at Ceresville were nothing short of outstanding. My husband and I were totally put at ease every time we interacted with Jessica or another Ceresville employee (especially Wayne our event coordinator the day of!). Jessica was also able to recommend some GREAT vendors to us through FABNet. FABNet is a life saver and DEFINITELY worth looking into.
I am so so so thankful I happened upon Ceresville Mansion for our wedding and would absolutely recommend it to anyone. Simply put, if you're getting married and looking into venues -- STOP -- and book your date at Ceresville! :)
What awesome staff here at the mansion. On my wedding day everything came together and the staff here at Ceresville made it a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived to the moment my last guest left, they were right there helping. I definitely recommend this venue for anyone wanting the best wedding.

Ceresville Mansion/Meghan Butler (Event Planner): The Ceresville Mansion staff was exceptional in every way. Everything from event planning, to rehearsal run-through, to the culinary expertise was top notch! Our wedding guests are still raving about the reception food. Our event planner, Meghan Butler, was professional, detail-oriented, and assisted us every step of the way through personal meetings, emails, and phone conversations. Meghan was always available when needed and promptly returned answers to our questions. From initial pre-planning meetings to final detail appointments, Meghan was able to answer all of our questions, alleviate our typical bride/groom stressful concerns, and happily make accommodations for our special requests. She walked us through the entire process every step of the way and took the pressure off all of the detail work. She was always there to greet us with a smile from our initial meeting...until the time we left the mansion as husband and wife.
