Della Terra is a beautiful venue in itself! But add amazing hospitality and professionalism, it makes for a perfect place to get married. We had a beautiful snowy wedding in the mountains (my dream wedding)! The crew made sure the roads were clear and transported all of our guests so they didn't have to get wet. Tess was our coordinator and was so wonderful! She was organized, professional, and very experienced. I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day because she was there to help through the entire process. The venue is stunning with spectacular views. It maintains elegance and romance and intimacy! We loved getting married here!
Della Terra is the most beautiful, enchanting venue for weddings that you can imagine. On top of that, they are set up to have your wedding run as smoothly as possible, taking care of all of the logistics and coordination. You won't have to worry about a thing on your big day! We had an August wedding here, and it all went completely perfectly - not a single thing went wrong! You will not need a wedding planner to have your wedding here; you get to have a walk-thru a couple of months before your wedding, where you can go over everything with your coordinator at Della Terra. They know all of the details that need to be covered, and don't miss out on anything.
The facilities are impeccable. Both the outdoor ceremony site, as well as the entire chateau are wonderful. We had an outdoor ceremony, and then the reception was inside of the chateau. There is plenty of space for your other vendors, ie DJ and caterer, to set up without disturbing guests. And the suites are amazing! Not a single detail is left out. The decor is beautiful, the rooms are clean, and they haven't forgotten a single amenity here.
You can't go wrong with Della Terra! I would recommend this to anyone for a wedding venue, whether you live in Estes Park or out of state! Many thanks to everyone who made our wedding day perfect!
Upon arriving at Della Terra for our initial tour, I knew this would be the place we got married. This mountain château is stunning. The floor to ceiling windows and exposed beams allow you to feel like you are in the midst of Rocky Mountain National Park even in the middle of winter. Our ceremony took place inside the Celebration Place and was beautiful. The afternoon sun was gleaming in on us through the whole ceremony providing the most beautiful lighting. My dress shimmered just like I had dreamed. I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful place to hold our winter ceremony.
After the ceremony was over Della Terra’s fabulous staff took over. They completely transformed our ceremony place into the lively reception venue. The tables were all placed perfectly and every last candle was lit and placed without a single guest or wedding party member having to lift a finger. Because we were doing family pictures right outside many of our family members were mingling inside to stay out of the cold while they waited for their turn in pictures. Della Terra’s staff never asked them to move but decorated right around them, making them all feel very comfortable. This whole transformation took place in under an hour allowing our reception to move right along. My husband and I were even able to join our cocktail hour upstairs without a worry of whether the centerpieces were being set-up correctly. Pam had everything perfectly mapped out for us. The room looked incredible as our guests took their seats for dinner.
Before the wedding weekend even began, Pam and her staff were helpful in answering all my questions along the way. They run each wedding extremely efficiently. I was planning my wedding from a far and they were able to answer all my questions through emails and calls back and forth. Once we arrived on Friday before our Sunday wedding they put every worry to ease by completely being at our service. Pam and her whole family made sure we had everything we needed all weekend long. They made us feel like we owned the place the entire weekend. We were able to use the salon, theater, and pretty much every other available space in the Château throughout the weekend. They are truly an amazing staff. They want your day to run as smoothly as possible and don’t want you to worry about a thing. We felt completely ease and were able to truly enjoy our time spent there.
Our guests many from out of town could not stop mentioning how beautiful Della Terra is. All who stayed on the property were amazed at the wonderful service. The Château suites are beautifully decorated to represent the various elements of the earth and come with a delicious gourmet breakfast. The cabins are perfect for those family members and friends who would like to be close to the action but would like to stay together. They are warm and cozy for all who stay here. This venue has truly thought of everything. If you are considering having your wedding here Pam and her staff come highly recommended. We absolutely loved them and will be back for anniversaries.
I got married in July at the Della Terra Mountain Chateau and it was absolutely phenomenal. The views are spectacular and our out of town guests were truly able to experience the Rocky Mountains. We even had some wild life crash our wedding. A buck walked onto the aisle just before I walked down with my parents. The timing could not have been better! The ceremony site is so beautiful and everyone loved our cocktail hour, which was outside on the patio. Tess did an incredible job coordinating the event. Overall, we were thrilled with Della Terra and we would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a "mountain wedding" in Colorado.
Della Terra was nothing short of amazing. The wedding team at this gorgeous Mountain Chateau made getting married such a miraculous and magical experience. Not only is the venue itself remarkable but the staff is knowledgeable and experienced. I would recommend Della Terra to any one and everyone who wants to have a perfectly magical wedding.
Thank you to Della Terra for everything - they truly made this the most special day of our lives, there is not one single detail that was missed or overlooked and the team at Della Terra is largely responsible for that.
Anna, our coordinator, we were grateful for all of her hard work and incredible attitude.
As you can see, Della Terra is THE most beautiful venue in Colorado, trust me I looked at them all, and nothing came close. Nestled in the Rocky Mountain National Park, the views are amazing, from the mountains to the wildlife. And the best part is, no matter what location you decide to get married on the property (inside or out) you can see the majestic scenery. All of that you can tell from the pictures. What you can't see is how incredible the staff is. They take care of everything and my Aunt is actually an event planner and said she has never seen anybody so organized and thorough, which is exactly what you want to hear for your wedding day. From wedding rehearsal, to setting up for the ceremony and reception, to breakfast in bed the next day in the beautiful honeymoon suite, everything was perfectly planned and executed. The other great thing about this venue did how beautiful the inside is, everyone kept saying they felt like they were in Italy. It is gorgeous and doesn't take much as far as decorating which is great for the budget. I have been to several weddings since mine and nothing compares. The wedding night ran extremely smoothly and the pictures turned out amazing, all thanks to the Della Terra staff and the amazing venue they created. I would highly recommend this venue, its worth every penny.
We got married here on May 30th, 2014.
Beautiful and clean!!!
The whole place is yours
Great "getting ready" areas for both groups
Well taken care of grounds and building
Pricey and I question what it was we really paid for...what was included in the vendor fee??
nickel and dime you for everything...you have to pay for all your own vendors, you have to do bar through them that includes extra fees, you have to pay extra for use of flatware/tableware and you have to have someone set up ALL you things as they only put out tables/chairs
some staff including our "coordinator" were rude and seemed bothered when asked questions
Overall I wouldn't have changed my location but a heads up to future brides of Della Terra is to not get caught up in the moment of finding this beautiful place and to ask all questions right up front before committing to this location at a certain price....there are a lot of hidden fees and extras and they don't explain very well. They also don't explain what their role is in your wedding process except for being the place to have the party.
Thank you for taking time to write a review. We loved your wedding and appreciate that you are sharing your beautiful pictures with us and others.
We certainly apologize if we had any shortcomings from your expectations. We make every effort to ch...
We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was beautiful. Della Terra is right on the edge of the Rocky Mountain National Park, so it was a little bit outside of town, but it was so peaceful. The suite was gigantic, the bathroom was huge, and each suite has its own private hot tub. We didn't make it down for breakfast, but the front desk was helpful in suggesting places to go and eat around town. We'll definitely go back.
The thing that drew me to Della Terra was the breathtaking setting and luxury chateau. I'm so glad I chose them for my wedding venue because it was like having a personal wedding coordinator through it all. Everyone told me not to sweat the small things on the day of because noone else would notice if it wasn't perfect and there were no "small things" to sweat. The staff prepares you for almost everything you are going to encounter on your big day!
Della Terra was wonderful from start to finish. My fiance and I loved these guys the second we toured the venue. Everyone is very accommodating, and once of the reasons we chose Della Terra was because they pamper the bride. Pam was always ready to answer any of my questions or concerns, and once the roads were washed out due to flooding they sent out regular emails updating me on conditions and other couple's experiences. They worked with my other vendors making sure they knew the correct routes into Estes Park, made sure I had everything I needed, and were such an encouragement with my worries of people not coming because of the longer commute.
When I got there the day before my wedding, Bill ( I think,) showed me the reception hall that was already set up. They had added chair sashes and table coverings for us. Such a simple thing and I couldn't tell you how much it meant to my groom and I, I may have started crying at that little gift. Martin let my maid of honor and I set up the room early so I could spend the morning of relaxing; they worked out the slideshow even with all my tec problems I brought, and hey even let my pregnant bridesmaid slip into one of the rooms to nap.
Jamie was AMAZING. She was my day of coordinator, and I've had dozens of people tell me she was wonderful-from making sure I was taken care of as bride, making sure everyone else knew where and when to be, showing up at the reception at the perfect time making sure we ran on schedule than blending into the background, to helping with my complex bustle... She was wonderful and I know having her help made me so much less stressed. I just started telling people to go find Jamie because I knew she'd take care of anything and I wouldn't have to worry.
I wish there were more than five stars to give Della Terra. They were at the top of our budget and we did have to cut back in other areas, but it was worth every penny. Every staff person I had contact with was wonderful; they truly go above and beyond making sure your wedding is special.
Even if our half hour drive had turned into a three hour commute, I would make it again and again. Della Terra gave me a dream wedding I didn't even think was possible. I could go on and on about how amazing they are, so just book this venue now and you can see for yourself how wonderful this place is.
Della Terra is beautiful. The prettiest venue we looked at and their outdoor ceremony site is why we choose to get married there. We got married two weeks after the Colorado floods and it was stressful because we worried we might not be able to get to Estes Park. The staff a Della Terra worked tirelessly and communicated to us daily post flood. They drove all the roads to figure out our best routes and sent us lists of open hotels and restaurants for guest. The day of they were amazing. We never worried about a thing. I can't say enough about the staff or the beauty of the location. If you want to get married in Estes, look no further.
My husband and I got married at the Della Terra on Thursday, September 26, 2013 and it was the most perfect day. The weather was a perfect 65 degrees and sunny!
The week leading up to our wedding, we were not sure if it would happen as planned due to the flooding that had devastated a large chunk of our beautiful state..but Pam and the rest of the team at the DT were with us every step of the way. I cannot believe how accomodating, sympathetic and sweet they all were.
Pam called me daily to check on me, knowing that I would be freaking out (I was). She was kind enough to constantly email me any update she had, being positive, upbeat and determined to make sure the day would be perfect for us! They treated our day as if it was their special day as well and it felt like seeing family when we made it up there and Pam gave us a huge hug!
They went so above and beyond what you would ever expect a wedding venue to do!
Not only is this place beautiful, the DT team are worth every penny! Any bride is lucky to have worked with them!
~~~Thanks again DT staff! You guys helped make the day so wonderful! Everything flowed so well and you can tell that weddings are your passion and you treat each one as if it was your own! We will forever be greatful for what you did for us before and during our wedding! ~~~
We had an amazing wedding at Della Terra. Everything ran so smoothly the day of and the staff was so kind and accommodating. They really do a fantastic job making sure you feel special and unique even though they have a wedding almost everyday.
The one and only down side is that it is expensive, and the fees and expenses keep adding up as you start adding in "extras" like renting place settings and overlays for tables and ribbons for chairs and so on. They also have their own liquor license so you can only use their bar so you can't shop around for the best deals on alcohol.
The cost is absolutely worth it though. I fell in love with the place instantly and have loved every minute of working with them.
After visiting Della Terra Mountain Chateau in August 2012, we knew we had to get married there. We picked a date (Friday, September 20, 2013), put a deposit down and spent the next 13 months planning and prepping for the big day.
But just over a week before our big day, Mother Nature had her own big plans. After watching the news day after day and seeing all of the devestation, we couldn't help but have a giant pit in our stomach.
Pam and her team at Della Terra stayed in contact with us, day after day, multiple times a day, keeping us as up to date as possible. No matter how dreaded that phone call was, Pam always called and showed us nothing but empathy. With every tear shed and hair pulled, Pam was right there with us. It was a rollercoaster of emotions that week before the wedding, but with Della Terra's support and understanding we couldn't help but know everything was going to work out, even though we made some back up plans just incase. And on Wednesday morning when we finally got the OK we planned the long, beautiful trek up to Estes Park.
As we pulled up to Della Terra, I think Jeff and I shed the weight of the world from our shoulders. And as we walked in to what seemed like the entire staff there to greet us with smiles and open arms, any lingering worries were shed. I think we were happy to see eachother and very relieved.
Della Terra went above and beyond for us and really gave us our dream wedding. The location is that of fairy tales. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the suites are the nicest you'll ever stay in. And the staff is the icing on the cake. The staff is wonderful, eager to help and always professional. I really can't say enough nice things about Della Terra. I feel the pictures speak for themselves, and after one meeting with the staff you will fall inlove with them.
Thank you Della Terra! You exceeded all our hopes and dreams for the wedding, floods and all. Pam, you will never know how much we appreciate your help through all of this. You have a heart of gold and we were lucky to have you by our side the entire time. Thank you for hosting our big day!
My husband and I had a wonderful wedding at Della Terra Mountain Chateau on Saturday, September 21st. At the beginning of the week, we weren’t sure the dream was going to come true with the floods blocking the roads into Estes Park. The Della Terra team was great during this time, providing us updates from the town meetings and helping to brainstorm ways to get into Estes. We held out hoping the roads would open up, not wanting to change venues. Miraculously, the alternate route to Estes opened, despite being a little longer of a drive, the route was beautiful. I can’t emphasize enough how glad my husband and I were that we didn’t give up on Della Terra and stuck it out! On Saturday, we woke up to blue skies and warm weather, and the outdoor ceremony couldn’t have been any better! Pam and her team ensured it went on without a hitch, keeping me worry free throughout the day. They were seamless in coordinating all the vendors around the floods and ensuring the room looked spectacular! I went from not sure where my wedding would be held to having a fairy tale wedding that multiple guests said was the best wedding they had ever been too! The Wedding would not have happened if the team at Della Terra hadn’t stayed positive and continued to support us as we worked around the town floods; we later learned that many other locations in Estes had canceled their Saturday weddings.
I was pleasantly surprised how the town of Estes Park has come together to clean up the area and reopen shops and restaurants. All my guests had places to stay and we were able to go out to eat to several different restaurants, purchase groceries and gas, and enjoy the atmosphere of downtown with no issues.
So again, a big thank you to the Della Terra team (especially Pam) who worked tirelessly to ensure that we could have our dream wedding, even with the nightmare floods that the area experienced(Della Terra never flooded).
I thought it was important to quickly post a review of Della Terra as our experience was truly unbelievable. Our wedding was scheduled for September 15, 2013. We arrived one day before the severe flooding that has tragically struck the front range of Colorado. The next few days were filled with uncertainty of what would come. As news continued to role in about all that had occurred it seemed impossible that our wedding would actually proceed as planned. The staff at Della Terra worked tirelessly over the preceding days of our wedding to make sure our special day would still happen. Its hard to put in words everything they did for us to help us and all of our guests arrive and have the most beautiful and special day. Every member of the staff was caring and went out of their way to help us through all the unexpected situations we experienced.
Our wedding turned out to be absolutely wonderful. Each member of the Della Terra team will forever have a special place in our hearts for all that they have done for us. The venue itself rain or shine is breathtaking.
Even though our wedding week was not as we expected it to be I would never trade it for anything else because the people we met and the experiences we shared will last with us forever.
Della Terra is the perfect place to make your dream wedding become a reality! My husband and I had our reception there after our church ceremony on March 16, 2013. Our wedding was gorgeous and my guests adored the venue! In addition the staff at Della Terra are the best! We had so much fun planning with them and had a carefree wedding day thanks to them! There was no hustle or worries for me or my wedding party on the day of our wedding! They truly made our wedding one of a kind and so much fun!!
Stunning, organized, and a fairy tail destination with the best professional and friendly staff that make you feel like kings and queens living in an enchanted forest! Highly recommend
Della Terra is (and always will be!) such a special place to me and my husband. My husband and I first visited Della Terra on a romantic winter getaway in January of 2012. I was looking for a special winter retreat to surprise him with. When I found Della Terra, I knew this is the place we HAD to go. The whole place looked amazing, from the two person soaking tubs to the themed rooms to the private hot tubs.
I will never forget when we first arrived at this magical place. Our flight (from St. Louis, MO) got in late to Denver. We arrived in Estes Park at Della Terra right before the front desk closed. Darrell was so nice and told us everything we needed to know about the Chateau, even though it was right before close. When we walked into our room (The Passion) it was more romantic then I could have ever imagined. My husband and I had a wonderful trip in Estes and during our stay at Della Terra everyone was SO nice.
On the second to last night of our trip, after a wonderful evening of watching movies in the Chateau's private theater room, my husband (then boyfriend) got down on one knee in our room and asked for my hand in marriage. It was one of the most amazing moments of my life. The beauty and ambiance of Della Terra only made it that much more romantic.
When we returned to Della Terra in November of 2012 for our planning meeting with Jamie, we were so impressed. Jamie was an absolute joy to work with. She ran us through all the planning steps, the linens, etc. She was so patient with us. At this time I was actually pregnant (!) and had to get up multiple times for bathroom breaks, but she didn't complain. She was so organized and made me feel completely at ease that all the details of our day would be carried out without a hitch.
My husband and I got married on a Wednesday and had less then 50 guest and we feel we got a FABULOUS deal. The pricing was so reasonable for everything that was included! Ceremony space, reception space, linens, flatware, glassware, complimentary suite the night before and night of the wedding, and personalized planning assistance before the wedding and a wedding coordinator the day of the wedding.
Our wedding day was Wednesday, June 12th, 2013. I felt like an absolute princess. I could NOT have gotten through my day without Jamie, she was a lifesaver! Anything I needed and she was there. Whether it was windex for our glass centerpieces, benedryl for my bridesmaid who accidentally ate some shrimp flatbread (and is allergic to shrimp), or getting me and my bridesmaids mimosas while we got ready. It was like having a day-of wedding planner. She was PHENOMENAL and everyone talked about how wonderful she was. :)
I walked down the aisle past a deer, a chipmunk tried to crash our wedding party photos, and a bunch of wild turkeys and three black bears wandered by Della Terra during my reception. If that is not a magical, Rocky Mountain Wedding, I don't know what is! My guests could not stop raving about how perfect everything was, from the setting to the architecture to all the little details. There is NO other place I would have rather had my wedding.
I even got to have my two dogs in my wedding and our 7 week old daughter was allowed to get ready with me in my chateau suite, even though children aren't normally allowed in the suites (to preserve the romantic ambiance of the Chateau). My husband and I can not wait to celebrate our anniversaries here for years to come.
