I walked into Luck's shop and knew I wanted the Flower Gallery for my wedding. For my reception I was looking for earthy mosses, topiaries and candles, and her shop was filled with exactly that. She was just as excited about my ideas and could envision what I was and more. She also arranged beautiful floral bouquets and boutonnieres for my family and wedding party. All of the women at the FG were easy to work with. They were prompt with responses to my questions, and they worked with me on my budget. I definitely recommend FG.
The Flower Gallery were exceptional in their service, and their products. We could not have asked for more. Mary Bell also directed our daughters wedding, and was awesome at keeping things in order and having a charming personality at the same time! We highly recommend her to anyone wishing to hire a wedding planner! Thanks again!
Centerpieces were gorgeous. Mary Bell went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. I loved everything!!!
I was really disappointed by Mary at our wedding, especially given all of the time and energy that went into communications prior to the event. First and foremost, the entire color scheme of the flowers at our wedding did not reflect what we had asked for, or what was in our contract. Various hues of pinks that we had asked for in the arrangements were overpowered by yellow flowers (probably because they ordered/received the wrong color and decided to use it anyways). This was made worse by the fact that they featured the yellow flowers in the boutonnieres and bouquets. Per the contract, the ribbon around my maid of honor's bouquet was supposed to be a different color than what she got. I had also specifically asked that there be no rose petals placed on tables, yet despite what was in the contract the gift table was covered with them. I had requested specific colors of ribbons and even mailed swatches to her, but was dismayed to find a much darker color of ribbon used at the event. Finally, the day after our wedding, our wedding coordinator informed me that some of the flowers/greenery that were used were actually fake - made of plastic. I couldn't believe it so I visited her to see a piece of it that she had brought home with her. Mary had said all along that they were happy to help us make the most of our budget, but I never imagined that would mean using fake florals, which I never would have agreed to. There were other details that bothered me about their decorations too - some things just looked unfinished like they hadn't had enough time to work on them. I would not work with them again. Anyone who looked at our contract and the materials that I sent over for reference/planning purposes and compared it to what was photographed at our wedding would see why.
I am very sad to say that I was unbelievably disappointed with The Flower Gallery. I have never written a negative review for anything before, but I absolutely have to let other brides know what happened to me. I was the most calm bride throughout the wedding and everything went flawlessly, but this is the one part of my day I wish I could take back. This was the largest part of my vendor budget and I am heartbroken that I wasted so much money on flowers I hated. The girl I originally communicated with about my vision and who I signed the contract with left the company and I got a phone call two months before my wedding saying that they would "still do my wedding even though there was someone who wanted my date".... As you can imagine, that's a pretty shocking thing to hear when you have paid a deposit. All of that aside, I sent dozens of pictures describing the type of flowers I wanted and the vision that I had for my wedding. I specified several times before the finalized contract that I did not want any standard roses anywhere in the wedding and that I absolutely hate the dozen roses you see on Valentine's day. As I was reviewing our contract, I saw roses mentioned several times. I emailed her again, asking to clarify why there were roses listed... She said that they would be cabbage roses that look just like peonies. I was ok with that, but mentioned, once again, that I did not want standard roses anywhere. When the flowers arrived 3 hours late (I know that is not their fault, they had car trouble), they opened the van for me to see hundreds of roses!! You can imagine my shock that with two hours until the wedding, she delivered all of the flowers I specifically said I do not want anywhere. For the floral arch for our ceremony, which I specified as the most important floral piece, she delivered nothing but greenery and roses. I of course called her and repeated to her that I hate standard roses and I did not want them... We were unable to use the floral archway she sent, only the greenery, and every single one of my centerpieces had roses in them. The groomsmen's boutonnieres were roses. The toss bouquet was made of roses. It was everything I had begged her not to do. I understand that everyone has different taste and that some girls may love roses, but if you specify dozens of times in emails and are paying thousands of dollars, you should get what you want ... She did end up refunding me $500 for the archway, so my total went from $3,000 to $2,500... I have to say, my bouquet was beautiful, but other than that.... save your money and pick a florist who will listen to you and respect your wishes.
I'm sorry that you have you felt that way. First I did ask the day before about the rose for ceremony that I can not use garden roses because they would not stand the heat and I have to substitute for reg roses because theyare hardy a...
Luck does an excellent job carrying out your vision. It truly was the most beautiful day of my life. There were a couple things that did not go as planned, a few items that were missed at the ceremony, but overall, the look she was able to obtain was exactly what I wanted. Beautiful!
The Flower Gallery is an amazing vendor. They made my wedding so beautiful. I had a destination wedding and they were so accommodating and helpful! Perfect!!
I live in Indiana but got married in Asheville at the Grand Bohemian Hotel. The hotel has chandeliers everywhere on the 4 th floor where the wedding took place. Luck and Mary helped us design a beautiful table scape of cylinder vases with orchids and floating candles wrapped in rhinestones, with crystals around the table. It looked gorgeous and really complimented the room. My bouquet was equally as beautiful with orange, purple and white accents wrapped in white ribbon and, of course, rhinestones! They were quick to respond via phone and email, which is great for an out of town bride. Any time I wanted to make changes, they were very accommodating. They even let my mom send a bracelet she was wearing for the wedding in the mail so they could wrap flowers to it per her request. I even drove my bouquet home 10 hours in the car in a vase with water just so I could keep it around as long as possible!
Mary Bell with the Flower Gallery was great! I was never able to meet with her in person but we spoke over the phone many times and emailed back and forth routinely. I really didn't know what I wanted at first but she drew up a sketch based off of some of my ideas and emailed it to me. I have trouble visualizing things without actually seeing them so this was very helpful for me! The flower arrangements in the ballroom were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. The bouquets were very pretty. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the size of my bouquet. I wanted something smaller since I am only 5 feet tall and petite. My bouquet was very pretty but I would have preferred something more along the size of my bridesmaids. This was a detail that I did stress on more than one occasion so I was surprised the day of when I saw how large it was. For most brides this is probably not a big deal though :)
I thoroughly enjoyed working with the Flower Gallery, Mary in particular, to select and arrange the flowers for my wedding. Mary works well with couples remotely and was very responsive throughout the entire process. Flower Gallery really listened to our vision for the wedding, provided helpful guidance and suggestions, and delivered stunning arrangements that really brought the wedding to life! All of the guests at our wedding commented on how unique and beautiful the arrangements were - they were one of my favorite parts of the entire day!
The Flower Gallery of Asheville provided bouquets, corsages, and boutonnières for our wedding. From the first time I spoke with Mary Bell, it was clear she knew what she was doing and she had lots of great ideas and input. I am a novice when it comes to flowers so it was very helpful to have her guiding the way, especially since I was an out of town Bride. Even when I completely changed my mind on the type of flowers, she was great and just rolled with it. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and had lovely added touches like gold wire around the groomsmen boutonnières and ribbon on the bridesmaid's bouquets that matched our color scheme. I would highly recommend the Flower Gallery.
My flowers from Flower Gallery were absolutely beautiful! Mary did such a great job on them. I live 5 hours away from Asheville and only communicated with her through e-mail and a few phone calls. She was very prompt and so polite. I sent her pictures of exactly what I wanted my bouquet and centerpieces to look like. They looked even better than the pictures! I even told her to do the boutineers and corsages however she thought would look good with the rest of my flowers and they looked to pretty too! I had a summer wedding so I wanted lots of wild flowers and vibrant colors and that is EXACLTY what I got! They were gorgeous! Guests at the wedding even talked about how pretty everything looked! If you want some amazing flowers Mary Bell (wedding consultant) is who you need to talk with! Book early so your wedding date does not get taken!!
Mary Bell had her team did an excellent job. Even though they came in last minute to fix someone else's mistake, they were so professional. I talked to many florist in the area and the price kept changing and I had to constantly explain myself of what I wanted. Mary knew exactly what I was looking for delivered! Wedding flowers can be a tricky thing since you don't know what the whole thing may look like. Trust a professional so you don't have regrets every time you look at your wedding pictures. Asheville is a small town and there are not many choices so be careful. Some of them think they are in NY or La , the way they quote their prices.
Mary Bell (with Flower Gallery of Asheville) is incredible! She was our wedding consultant and when I met her, I knew I could trust her to create the perfect wedding for us! She was very sensitive to what we wanted and helped guide us through a process that was pretty overwhelming - planning a destination wedding at the Biltmore (in Asheville, NC) from Dallas, TX. The wedding weekend was flawless and I had nothing to worry about at all. All of our family and friends commented on how beautiful all of the flowers were - that was all Mary Bell and the Flower Gallery! I was blown away when I saw the wedding she had put together including little details I would have never thought about. She worked with the vendors and kept everyone calm when it began to rain on the big day (luckily it stopped before the ceremony)! The thing that is really special about Mary is how likable she is, you are planning your wedding with someone who genuinely cares about you. I would whole-heartedly recommend Mary to anyone (for any event)!
Most wonderful flowers any wedding could ever dream of! It was beyond all expectations!
Flower Gallery Asheville is known as one of the best for a reason - they are. Browsing through their website, it's obvious they are a top of the line florist and do beautiful, big weddings. I had a small wedding with less than two months of planning and so was unsure how or if they'd work with me. When you see the work they do you'll be amazed - I was literally brought to tears when I first saw my bouquet. I can't say enough good things about this florist.
I used Flower Gallery for my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets. Mary was great to work with and my bouquets were absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend her if you are trying to decided on a florist for your wedding.
We used Flower Gallery of Asheville for our ceremony and reception and they made our wedding look like a fairy tale. When discussing our vision for the ceremony and reception it was as if Mary Bell at the Flower Gallery could read my mind. She understood from day one what I wanted. Once the Big Day arrived and everything was set in place the flowers were so beautiful and fragrant and not one detail was left untouched. And I cannot possibly leave out my bouquet! It was absolutely stunning! I cannot put into words how beautiful everything turned out. It was my dream wedding!
I urge any out-of town brides to hire Mary Bell from The Flower Gallery. She was a complete pleasure to work with and our flowers were simply beautiful. I actually saved money when she contacted vendors and made arrangements. If a problem came up she took care of it and I was saved the stress. She really exceeded my expectations and delivered the wedding of our dreams.
I had no idea how much work and talent is required to have the perfect wedding. Thanks to Flower Gallery and Mary Bell I was able to give my daughter the wedding of her dreams. When I think about that night I still cry. Could not be happier.
