The Hotel Northampton…where to even begin?! We chose the Hotel to host the reception for our wedding on October 20, 2012. It seemed the perfect place from the start—beautiful historic building, stunning grand ballroom, notoriously delicious food (AHEM...Filet!!!), enticing customizable wedding packages—and, on a personal note, my husband and I had met right outside the front doors.:)
What we did not know or expect when we booked the Hotel Northampton was that, in addition to all of the wonderful features mentioned above, we would also gain a family…a lifetime of friendship and memories…
Enter Brianne Ebel stage right:)… Brianne is the wedding/events coordinator at the Hotel Northampton, and I am forever indebted to her. From our very first meeting to discuss the venue to our ‘BIG DAY’, Brianne was there for us—always available and accessible to answer all of those plaguing wedding planning questions:), there to offer guidance and insights when we didn’t know which task to tackle next, and a consistent and encouraging voice that kept us on track on an untraveled path:).
All the while, she smiled and laughed with us, shared in the excitement of our journey, and became a dearly loved friend. Brianne—you’re my hero!:) Thank you for every moment of your time and attention, for your genuine excitement and involvement in our journey that led to and through our wedding day, and for your friendship… A million thanks:)
We were truly impressed with every aspect of the Hotel Northampton’s offerings, and the same sentiments have been confirmed by so many of our guests—the lovely atmosphere, the delicious food, the wonderful attention to detail. The personal attention that Tim and I received was amazing and humbling. The Hotel Northampton will always be a very special place for us—home to some of our most precious memories—Thank you for having us. And to the staff who make the Hotel as wonderful as it is (with special acknowledgments to Brianne and Courtney:)), you will always be a big part of those memories, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! For our wedding in May 2013, we had a superb experience with the Hotel Northampton. From our first meeting with Brianne, the hotel's wedding coordinator, we felt at ease and impressed by her (and the rest of the hotel staff's) professionalism, ease, and enthusiasm for the hotel. They were thorough with all of the details (which were beautiful in execution on the day itself!), and Brianne was very kind and helpful and responsive, even when I felt like I was asking silly questions (she reassured me they weren't).
The hotel itself is gorgeous, perfect if you're looking for an elegant, historic, and classy venue. The area around the hotel was also wonderful for our wedding photographs, and just make the whole thing look magical.
Also, the food was delicious! Everyone said I wouldn't have time to eat at the wedding reception, but I absolutely made the time to do so (it was too good!). The waitstaff I remember as professional and gracious and courteous, and the feedback I received from our guests was unanimously positive.
In short, we couldn't have been happier with our time with the hotel. From the first moment of our first meeting to checking out of the hotel after the hosted brunch on the day after the wedding, everything was perfect. My family and I could not have been happier.
My husband and I recently got married this past June and we had our reception at the Hotel Northampton. As former residents of Northampton, the town has a lot of sentimental value to us so it was very special to be able to celebrate our marriage at the Hotel Northampton. We worked with Brianne Ebel and Leah Maio, who coordinated our entire event, and they did an outstanding job! Everything was absolutely perfect and we could not be happier with the service we received from the moment we showed interest in the venue up to present time, Brianne and Leah made sure our wedding was exactly how we wanted it to be. They were both courteous, professional, flexible, and pleasant to be around. Whenever we had a question or needed anything at all they responded right away and were never pushy. They both were always willing to meet with us in person and also helped to refer us to the other vendors we used in our wedding, and they were very honest as well. The entire staff at the Hotel was very professional and genuinely expressed happiness for us. The food was excellent and the atmosphere very enjoyable. The overnight accommodations were great as well! The grand ballroom was very bright and clean and tastefully decorated. There is not one thing I would change about having our wedding reception at the Hotel Northampton, and I strongly recommend this amazing venue to all brides and grooms who are interested!
Hotel Northampton has the most beautiful grand ballroom for a wedding and they turned our day into a real life fairy tale. We truly were so happy with how every detail was taken care of by Brianne (we went over a lot of details) and her team, Tori (head banquet manager) and Jonathan, in particular were excellent! It was nice to have the person you were speaking with throughout the entire process be there as you step out of the limo. It was actually a relief during the madness to see Brianne and literally stop worrying; and with a bridal party of 16 that can be challenging. As an Italian bride, all I wanted to eat were the food groups I had given up for months, so I indulge in the pasta with vodka sauce (which was the best I had ever had) and the dessert. The table filled with desserts was amazing! Other guests said their meals were delicious, hot, and fresh. I think our only minor complaint would be with the front desk/hotel bookings, which is almost a separate entity, because Brianne handles the event itself. There was some confusion on the valet for all guests, but my mom talked to them and it was resolved quickly that day. They said it was only for those staying over night which wasn't true. For room blocks, I would speak to Ruby (in charge of the hotel portion) at the beginning and let her know what you expect and get all your questions cleared up. For example price/room type. They give you 10 rooms at one rate, (make sure you say you want "x" amount of 2 double beds, or queens for your room block) but the next 10 went up another $10, and that was unclear why. It states in the contract it can go up, but it shouldn't within 2 weeks of booking. They did work with us, and ended up giving us 20 rooms at the lower price, which was nice. Not every guest got their welcome bags when they checked in either, some people had to ask or didn't get one at all. Our bride/groom suite was amazing!!! The room they provide was just perfect! I was concerned that I may have wanted a double balcony, but I would stick with the one they offer with the package. We had champagne, fruit and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us at the end of the night. You are in good hands with the event staff at Hotel Northampton. Brianne didn't do very much reassuring that it was going to be best day/night of my life, and I know now that it would have been unnecessary. She was confident in her people and knew everything will be executed as planned. Brianne knew it was going to be beyond my expectations without having to say anything and she was right. We were more than pleased with the level of service and quality Hotel Northampton had shown our family and our guests. Thank you, Brianne and your team for creating a wedding "dream come true" that we will never forget.
We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all at the Hotel. The hotel exceeded our expectations and helped make our special celebration even more special. The hotel is elegant and beautiful. All our guests kept commenting on it. The staff were remarkably courteous and helpful. The food was delicious and was complemented over and over by our guests. And Brianne did an amazing job at pulling everything together, with fine attention to detail, ensuring that everything went smoothly. Moreover, Brianne was super at dealing with family, respectfully corralling everyone and ensuring everything came together just right. She did an amazing job! We feel so grateful to Brianne, the hotel staff, and Chef Bob for helping make an amazing night for us and our loved ones that we will never forget. We can’t image that we would have considered anywhere else.

When my husband and I were looking for a wedding reception venue, the moment we walked into the Hotel Northampton we knew it was where we wanted to have our reception. Then we met Brianne Ebel, the wedding coordinator, and she sealed the deal.
The Hotel Northampton is simply historic elegance. The cocktail hour is held in their lobby, which is charming in it's decor. The Grand Ballroom is timeless, surrounded by ivory walls, chandeliers and wall sconces. The food throughout the night was delicious - everything was cooked to perfection (filet mignon and rack of lamb!!!). The staff was wonderful. And for everything, the cost couldn't be beat.
One of the biggest perks of choosing the Hotel Northampton is getting to work with Brianne. From the beginning, she was so helpful. She was attentive to all our crazy ideas, guided us through the simple stuff like picking a cake, and was key to the success of all the little details.
Although it is a simple sentiment, thank you to the Hotel Northampton, Brianne and the staff for what I consider to be the best day of my life. It was a whirlwind and I had a smile plastered to my face the entire time.
Brianne and the other staff at Hotel Northampton were amazing. The price was the best for 170 people. She helped us to the n-th degree. Also, the cake and centerpieces are included in the price and they are really nice. We are so please that we got married here.
Another great reason to get married here besides brianne, the food, service and the hotel itself is Brianne is not a "yes man". She will help you determine what is the best cake, flowers, linens for your wedding and not try to get you to spend the most money.
We asked Brianne, "what if there is freak snow storm, can we give the extra food to a shelter?". Every other coordinator at other places said yes, but Brianne said "No" because of food safety precautions. This may seem insignificant to you, but it just showed that she will tell you the truth, not just what you want to here.
This is why you should choose this place.
Everything turned out beyond our expectations - timing was perfect, the food was ABSOLUTELY amazing, the ballroom was just beautiful from top to bottom. I am definitely the type-A personality and one to be in control of every detail, but every time I talked to the event planner, Brianne Ebel, and her staff I knew they just had everything together and in control...and that was a huge relief for me – especially since I only had 6 months to plan everything. Thank you, thank you, thank you again!!! :)
After looking at several other places to have our ceremony/reception. We decided to look at Hotel Northampton which was our first choice, however we thought it would be out of our price range. Surprisingly it was priced failry. There were several menu choices. After meeting Brianne the wedding cordninator, we had made our decision. She was was on top of every last detail and even stayed at our wedding to make sure things went smoothly after just having a baby. While she was on maturnity leave we were taken care of by Leah which was also a great experience. Both were able to answer all questions - make recommendations an work with us on whatever we were looking for. We had our ceremony on the side patio of the hotel. Brianne made sure it was set up just the way we wanted from the flowers to the chairs and walking path. We also had our rehersal dinner in the Wiggins Tavern. Brianne put together a great menu that worked perfectly for our budget. We stayed overnight and myself and my bridesmaids got ready in a board room that she booked for us. We were all able to get ready comfrotably. We also had the wedding suite which was beautiful. If it was not for Brianne and her amazing team I do not think we would have done a full out wedding. I'm not the best bride in the world and didn't care to get much done. She made it easy with her reccomendations. She emailed me ideas, suggestions, and reminders. Talking with her always made me feel and ease with every step of the planning process. I would forever rocommend Hotel Northampton and Brianne. Every person present at our wedding said it was beautiful and the food was amazing! Brianne has a wide variety of vendors she works with from Dj's, photographers, even JP's. I was able to pick 3 amazing vendors because of her. Our music, pictures, and ceromony was perfect. The hotel also has flowers and cake including in the package. Brianne cordinated with them seperatley so we did not have to worry about that. I was a confused and annoyed bride until I met Brianne and her team. They made our day perfect.
Our wedding was done flawlessly. The team at Hotel Northampton was professional, caring, and dependable. I didnt have any roadblocks and had a very smooth process in the months up to the wedding and the night of.
I recommend this location and its team to any and every couple who want to make the most out of their wedding.

I can say that I had the greatest wedding day thanks to The Hotel Northampton! From start to finish everything with the hotel was seemless. We booked our wedding in 6 months, and Brianne was second venue me met with (third if you count the venue that never showed up for our apt!). We cancelled the 6 or so other apts we had after we met with Brianne and booked the hotel that day! Brianne was on maternity leave for our wedding but met with us to finalize as many details as she could before she had her baby. She left us in Ruby's hands, who finished off our amazing service at The Hotel Northampton. They included so many things in our package there was very little we had to do. They were even helpful recommending other vendors (even our rehearsal dinner spot!). Our guests keep complimenting us on the beauty of the ballroom, and hotel itself, along with the amazing food. My husband and I are so happy we chose to celebrate our wedding day at The Hotel Northampton. We are fans for sure!
My husband and I chose the Hotel Northampton for the ambiance and closeness to my childhood church, and it did not disappoint! Brianne and Ruby dealt with some odd requests and scenarios, but they handled them with spectacularly! The one moment that was slightly less than stellar was when security asked some of my friends to leave because they were having a (sober!) cake eating contest. I think I would rather have security vigilant than lax, but that was a bit unnecessary.
Me and my wife were married by our son here at the Hotel Northampton, The first call to us eating lunch there was a dream. I recommend anyone to get married here and eat lunch at the Coolidge Park Cafe the food was amazing!
On Thanksgiving weekend this year I had my wedding at The Hotel Northampton. Working with the event planner Brianne made everything run smooth and easy, from the first meeting to final details the day of! The day at the Hotel beyond surpassed my expectations! The Hotel to start is just beautiful! I also loved being able to have the hotel decorated for the winter holidays! It just added to the beauty. Everyone at the hotel is so accomadating and helpful! The wait staff throught out the dinner made sure everything went perfect and smoothly. I took all of Briannes suggestions to how to make things run the smoothest and I am so glad I did! Nothing went wrong and the whole day flowed flawlessly. I loved having the option to have the ceremony at the Hotel, my guests did too! The hampshire room was perfect for the ceremony! They also were especially accomodating to my elder grandparents who can't do stairs well! I have received numerous comments from guests that it was the best wedding! I must agree! I could not have dreamed of anything better then the wedding I had at the Hotel Northampton! From start to finish my wedding at the Hotel was perfect and surpassed all my expectations! I hope many more people have their weddings there so they can experience a truly smooth and worry/ stress-free wedding day as we all deserve!
From the moment we first visited Hotel Northampton, we knew it was one of the top runners for where we wanted to have our wedding. The historic hotel is well-maintained, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the beautiful lobby and ballroom was perfect for our early November wedding. What sold us was the wedding coordinator, Brianne Ebel. Brianne is personable, honest, open-minded and accommodated our budget-friendly plan at that first meeting, every meeting leading up to our wedding, and throughout the actual event (no random fees added that weren't discussed first like other places tried to do to us!). She is only an email away and always had good, honest advice as I was planning. We instantly felt comfortable and had complete trust in her - she was the perfect person to help us plan our big day!
A couple things we loved most about the Hotel is the different feel you get in different parts of the venue - we had our rehearsal dinner in Wiggins Tavern on the first floor of the Hotel - it has an old colonial feel with a fireplace and delicious comfort food while the ballroom is elegant with an intimate feel. The second thing we loved about the Hotel is the location. Most of our guests were from out of town and stayed at the Hotel so all they had to do was park their car Friday evening and all the weekend's events were in walking distance. We got married at First Churches which is right around the corner from the Hotel, had a welcome party at a bar in town, and everything else was based out of the Hotel including a Farewell Brunch the morning after the wedding. Not to mention all the great restaurants and things to do in town that our guests definitely appreciated having close by. Lastly, the food was delicious - there are tons of options and the speciality drinks were a hit!
I can't say enough good things about our wedding at Hotel Northampton. Thank you for making our day everything we wanted it to be and more!
Absolutely flawless. The staff did a tremendous job. The quality of everything was excellent. My day was stress free. The staff couldn't do enough for you. I would definitely highly recommend the Hotel Northampton for a dream come true wedding. It was classic and timeless
The Hotel Northampton was wonderful! Great food, lots of help with the planning and all the staff was very friendly. The hotel is beautiful and so is the town of Northampton. I would recommend it!
I can't say enough great things about our experience. After a less than satisfactory tasting earlier in the year, Brianne bent over backwards to assure us that that our wedding day would be perfect, and it was. Rave reviews of the food, steaks cooked perfectly. Exceptional service and great value. You won't be sorry.
