My husband and I had our ceremony and reception on the 2nd floor with Hors d'oeuvres in the Louise Gallery. The staff does an excellent job of making your wedding feel like the most important one, even though they have several events each weekend. Paul, Jess and one of the other younger girls who got married there and now works there are awesome at helping you come up w creative ideas and using the decorations they already have available there. Mulberry does all the setup for you and after the wedding allows you to come back the next week to pick up items that are boxed up. They are very flexible about you coming in as many times as you need to bring other family members, photographer, and any one else for you to get a better grasp on your options there.
Mulberry Art Studios was absolutely amazing. I had my ceremony and reception there using their lower floor. They were both it the same room, but the cocktail hour was in another room. During the cocktail hour they completely transformed the ceremony room into the reception. It was absolutely stunning. The people who work there are so friendly, and incredibly creative. They have rooms full of decorations you can use and an entire basement full of linens in the whole spectrum of colors. They do all of the set up and all of the cleanup, too. They took so much off my plate. With a few meetings to talk about colors and to pick out decor and linens my whole wedding was done. The facility there is absolutely stunning and completely unique. You can even pick the art they hang on the walls. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely stick with Mulberry.
The experience at Mulberry was second to none. We wanted an original wedding and they delivered everything and more than we could have ever wished. They do everything and make it so personal. I didn't want the traditional ballroom or country club wedding and the ambiance and originality of the Mulberry Arts was so wonderful. I can truly see us going back there in 5 years to celebrate again! I would recommend this place to everyone I know and all of my guests agreed!
Everyone tells us how beautiful our wedding was, and I have to say that most of the credit goes to Mulberry Art Studios. They did above and beyond what we asked for as far as decorations and setting up for the guests. The people who work at MAS are very friendly.
That being said, we do have some fairly major complaints with respect to the customer service at MAS.
First, trying to get a hold of anyone at MAS was very frustrating. The only times anyone got back to us in a timely manner (i.e. within 24-48 hours) was: 1) when we were initially considering to book with MAS, and 2) on the week of our wedding. Most of the time we had to call back several times before we got someone who could answer our questions. Or, they would tell us that someone would call us back, but no one ever would.
Second, there were several times when we set up appointments to meet with a specific person at MAS but they weren't there. They would either give us a proxy who could not actually help us with what we specifically said we needed, or no one was there to help us at all.
Finally, the process of paying for the event itself was very confusing and stressful. When we signed our contract no one properly explained the fee process. We were given one amount in our contract with little to no explanation as to what this amount meant. We found out after the wedding (when they sent us the bill) that the amount on the contract did not include the cost of some services and linens etc. That would have been fine, except that we felt blindsided when we realized we owed them several hundred dollars more than we expected.
Previously, we said they went above and beyond what we asked for. When we met with them, we asked for a certain number of linens. MAS used extra linens to make our wedding beautiful. They did not tell us this would incur additional charges. They also charged us for removing lights that we did not want, rather than telling us that it would cost us to take them away.
We took a very laid back approach to our wedding. All in all, we were very pleased with MAS on the day of our wedding. However, the details leading up to and following the wedding make it hard to give more than a mediocre review.
We do not believe that the problems we experienced with MAS were an attempt to take advantage of us. It seems more likely that the way MAS is run is very disorganized. They are very good at making a beautiful venue. It's the numbers, the schedules and the money that are poorly managed.
Beautiful venue for a unique wedding location. Had ceremony and reception at same location. Didn't need a lot of decorations due to the natural ambiance of the location. Willing to work within anyones budget.
Mulberry was a beautiful location. They had lots of decorations we could choose from so that we didn't have to go buy it ourselves. They put together my centerpieces off an example I made for them. They did everything just as I wanted but better. The only problems we had were with communication between Mulberry and the other vendors on the day of the wedding. Some things were misplaced. But had we known that Mulberry wouldn't be quite the "wedding planner" we had expected on that day, we could have been more on top of things ourselves.
Where to start? April and her staff were BEYOND helpful! I have never been more impressed with a venue in my life! It was a great value and the wedding was GORGEOUS. We had so many complements on how beautiful everything was. They made my special day so unique and beautiful for me. We got to pick out the pictures to display in the room and when it came time for the big day i couldn't have been happier. Jimmy, April's assistant was so helpful. Every time we needed anything, even a bottle of water he was right there to help :) I can't express my appreciation for all their dedication and help for the best day of my life! Def worth it!

Our wedding was wonderful, the set up the day before and the day of went very smooth. I had a lot of details and things that we discussed and everything laid out properly for the day!
The venue and staff are amazing. We had so many wonderful compliments on our reception. They are willing to work with you so you may stay within your budget. Choosing the artwork made the room feel personalized. We even ended up purchasing one of the pieces we chose to display! Everything was absolutely gorgeous. Be aware of upfront costs, but again, they are willing to work within your means.
I could not have had a better location. April was a dream to work with, as was all of the other staff. Everything we talked about was executed perfectly. They spent a ton time working with me and making sure they had my vision for my big day to be perfect. The staff was all amazing and all worked like crazy for me. I loved that you were able to select your own art, and they were extremely flexible with other venders coming in and working with them one and one. I cannot rave enough about how fantastic this location was. We looked at a lot of places, and a lot of places were too cookie cutter. MAS was exactly what we were looking for. PLEASE check them out.
The Mulberry Art Studio is a beautiful place to hold your wedding ceremony and reception if you are looking for a unique venue where you can plan all of the details (no package A, B or C). The staff is extremely accommodating and helpful, but the owner, April, is a bit scatter-brained and comes off as kind of crazy. My advice, if you book with Mulberry, talk to someone else in the office when it comes down to the details. Even if you told April everything, double-check with another staffer just to make sure. In the end they did everything I asked for.
The only problem we had is that it took them over an hour to turn over the room between the ceremony and the reception. Our cocktail hour was more like an hour and a half. No one seemed to mind, but they did promise a turnover in half an hour.
Also if you are working on a tight budget, be careful here. Certain things you think will be included cost extra (linens, large tables, etc.). They will give you a price list, but make sure you get an itemized quote before you commit.
I used Mulberry Arts for my wedding reception. All the people there are very nice, but also quite disorganized. The reception went beautifully and I am glad that we had it held there. They allow you to have a lot of control on the look and style of your wedding and do not have many rules, that is why I choose them.
Mulberry Art Studio was the perfect setting for our wedding ceremony and reception. April and her team were amazing in getting the place set up for our wedding - they had two big events the night before and worked all night and early morning getting the place set up for our brunch wedding. We worked almost exclusively with April, who is the owner and founder of MAS. She was incredibly kind and so thoughtful. We loved being able to choose the artwork and the decor complemented our wedding theme and colors wonderfully. Our guests loved the venue and we couldn't be happier with our choice in Mulberry.

The staff at mulberry art studios was absolutely amazing. April is so hepful and will do just about anything to help make your day just the way you want it. They help with set up and will do all of the tear down for you!!! Our wedding was simply perfect and April and her staff helped to make that happen!!!
We got married in the middle of a blizzard. It started snowing the night of our rehearsal and didn't start until around3 the next day. April, the head person at Mulberry, actually slept at Mulberry the night of the rehearsal to make sure she was there to set up the next day. She was amazing. She wrote everything down and made sure that we went over every last detail. We got so many compliments on our venue and how beautiful and different it was. My only issue is that some of the details we discussed were forgotten on the actual day. We had our cocktail hour actually in the reception room to save costs and the round table in the middle of the dance floor with the appetizers was supposed to be removed before the wedding party was announced. It wasn't. So we ended up having to do our first dance around the table. There were a few other minor details overlooked, but that was the biggest one. Be very careful with decor. Every add on has a cost and it tends to add up quickly. April and her team definitely know what they are doing. Even without hours and hours of discussions, they knew exactly what I wanted and did an amazing job.
The manager is so eager to help you create the atmosphere you desire. There are a ton of resources to use (furniture, linens, art, special lighting.) Everything came together in such a beautiful way - we and our guests loved it! Another benefit was having the whole place to ourselves - guests weren't shackled to the same table all night. We used the lobby areas for our cocktail hour, a room upstairs for toasts and dinner and a separate room for the band, dancing, lounging and partying.;Definitely rent more than one room if you have a large guest list. But, understand that it doesn't really come cheap.
They let my grandmother be the featured artist during the month of our wedding in the gallery where we had our reception. They let me hang up branches with white Christmas lights that covered the ceiling of the gallery. Anything I needed they were more than willing to help with.;If you think of anything extra you'd like them to do at the reception, just get an estimate first. Also, if they want to keep your decorations up, ask for some type of reimbursement.
