My husband and I got married in June 2013. Old Glory Ranch helped us to create the rustic and romantic feel to our wedding that we desired. From the beautiful antique wood and stained glass windows of the chapel to the lighted trees outside, every detail of this venue has been thought out to create an elegant atmosphere. The staff was readily available to answer any and all questions we had while planning our Big Day.
Old Glory Ranch provides both the decor and flowers so that is one less vendor to have to research and find. The flowers were more beautiful than I could have imagined with a blend of soft unique florals with touches of succulents and dusty miller. The wrought iron vases, mason jars, antique ice cream buckets, and vintage bottles with touches of sheer burlap and lace created the timeless setting that we wanted.
I highly recommend Old Glory Ranch to anyone desiring a Texas Hill Country wedding. The staff will help to create the wedding you have always dreamed of. I loved every minute and detail of our wedding in Wimberley!

What an amazing evening! The wedding of our daughter, Haley Layman to Luke Cochran was absolutely beautiful. The Old Glory Ranch is the epitome of Elegant Hill Country Ranch atmosphere. What I like most about this venue, is that they offer a true Chapel to fulfill our desire for a religious ceremony, as well as the ambiance of beautiful outdoor patios, fireplace, sunsets and rustic elegance as amazing as you will find anywhere in Texas. In the event of inclement weather, we were assured that the entire event could be indoors, and exterior patio areas would be heated. It was so lovely and the staff went over and above to assure that everything was taken care of from start to finish. The dedicated and personable staff included wedding coordinators -Gina and Kim, site coordinator- Karen, design team, & a service crew behind the scenes that made the entire evening flow effortlessly until the bride and groom’s departure through a tunnel of spectacular sparklers into a gorgeous antique Bentley. A Big Shout Out to “The Klocks” of San Antonio, our amazing band that performed to a packed dance floor all night, and to Don Strange Ranch Catering that provided a delicious assortment of appetizers, entrees and side items that received rave reviews from our guests. Classic Cakes by Lori designed our Bride and Groom’s cakes. They were a pleasure to work with. Our cakes were moist and delicious, in addition to fantastic service and delivery. Finally a heartfelt thank you to Suzanne McCord, owner of Old Glory Ranch who has poured her heart and soul into this venue, and making each and every wedding something extremely memorable and special to the couples they host.

Our wedding was a springtime, evening wedding at Old Glory Ranch. The whole day was perfect, and the Old Glory staff were top notch. From the first day we visited Old Glory Ranch, Gina took great care of us. They provide you with a list of preferred and recommended vendors from caterers to bakers to photographers. They assist with the planning of your day and take over the week of the wedding handling all vendors, set up, clean up, and making sure everyone (including the Wedding Party) stays on schedule the day of the wedding. It was so great for Tim and I to be able to enjoy our day and for our families to enjoy it as well without the worry, stress, and exhaustion that would be required to run the show ourselves. We wanted a casual yet elegant wedding that was full of romance and good times with friends and family. Our wedding was all of that and more, thanks largely to the hard work of Old Glory Ranch. The property is gorgeous, the facilities are top notch, and everything on our day went off without a hitch. Thank you Old Glory Ranch!

Every dream I had about my wedding came true, thanks to the incredibly talented and knowledgeable staff at OGR. I loved that they had a florist on staff, and the flowers were beyond my expectations! Every step of the planning was easy because of their organization. All of our friends and family raved that it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to. It was an unseasonable cool night for June in Texas, and the twinkling lights and chandeliers that hung from trees just set the mood. It was so romantic! The day-of wedding coordinator made the wedding day seamless. If anything went wrong, I don't know about it. That's how great they are at making your big day perfect! I would HIGHLY recommend having your wedding at Old Glory Ranch if you want the most spectacular Texas ranch wedding you could imagine!

Old Glory Ranch exceeded every expectation we had! Truly provided every detail we asked for better than we could have dreamed.! Professional in every way, concerned about their clients needs and desires, clear on what they provided and upfront on their costs. Helpful with any and all details; providing lists of proven vendors, immediate in response to calls and questions, and truly have folks that I walk away calling them "friend". They have an amazing beautiful setting that comes "Alive" as the wedding begins and the evening proceeds.
Our daughter's wedding was her "Dream Wedding" in every way and I will always appreciate Old Glory Ranch's team for making that happen!

OGR is a gorgeous venue with equally beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. The team provides great service, is highly organized and ensure that your wedding - and their venue - looks as beautiful as it possibly can. They offered great advise on vendors - the local ones were particularly good - and ensured we were comfortable and happy throughout the process. Highly recommend Old Glory Ranch.

OGR is the only way to go! From day 1 I fell in love with staff and venue! Our wedding was constantly referred as a " fairy tale" by our guests! The event ran like clock work and never missed a beat! The decor and flowers were stunning
( understatement) and I couldn't have dreamed it any better than it was! I can't thank OGR enough and simple words will not do them or the venue justice! Our wedding was nothing less than spectacular and all my guests, friends, & family have said it was the best wedding they have ever had pleasure to attend! I'm greatful to Suzanne and her staff for making it one of the best nights of my life!

My daughter recently married at Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. I cannot emphasize enough how professional, helpful, and efficient the owner and staff members were throughout the entire process. Being from the Houston area, I was a little concerned about planning a wedding long distance but all my anxiety was a complete waste of time and energy. Susanne, Gina, and Carey were wonderful all along the way, providing resources, recommendations and support. Their attention to detail was beyond measure. Parking, ceremony, food and drink service, music...all went off flawlessly thanks to OGR. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful with the expansive lawns, rustic chapel, and stained glass- just to name a few details. Numerous guests made the comment the wedding was the most beautiful they had ever attended. OGR comes with the highest of recommendations!!

My daughter got married at Old Glory Ranch in June. The staff at OGR was a joy to work with. Everything was absolutely perfect! The venue is beautiful! The ceremony was in the chapel and it is charming and welcoming. The reception was outside and it was gorgeous. The flowers are done onsite and they were the most beautiful flowers ever. There were rustic chandeliers hanging from the trees. Our friends and family are still raving about the wedding. Thanks to OGR, my daughter had the wedding of her dreams. It was a magical time for everyone.

We just got married at Old Glory Ranch in May 2013 and I don't think I could have imagined a more beautiful, fairytale wedding. It's hard to imagine what your wedding day will look like when you are in the planning process because you are obviously not able to see the final product until the day of... well my expectations were exceeded. The venue is so breathtaking and the staff is just amazing. Already having a full-time job, adding a second one was not exactly what I had in mind. But the amazing staff (Karen, Gina, Kellye) continuously put my nerves at ease throughout the entire process. They were all so incredibly sweet and accommodating that whenever I would begin to freak out that I had totally forgotten something "huge", they immediately let me know that it wasn't a big deal and they would help out in whatever way possible. I don't think I could have chosen a more perfect place to get married and think that every single penny spent was more than well worth it.

My husband and I were married at Old Glory Ranch last November and absolutely loved everything about our day. Planning was a breeze with Suzanne, Gina, and Carey - they are all very thorough and hands on. We talked almost weekly during the planning process and they are very prompt at returning calls and emails. Planning from out of town made it a little tough to get to the 3 or 4 on-site meetings, but it was worth it to confirm everything. They are very all-inclusive and provide staff, decor and flowers. We hired a band but they do have a DJ on staff. We added a lot of special touches and they were accommodating of our outside vendors: (a photo booth, a vintage seating arrangement on the lawn, and desserts/pies/treats from several companies to make up the sweets bar). The entire ranch is gorgeous and secluded, Chapel Hall is so pretty against the hill country sunset, and the outdoor patio under the huge tree is my favorite part of the venue. We had the mini donkeys at cocktail hour and they were such a hit ;) I would recommend OGR to anyone looking for an elegant hill country wedding.

Old Glory Ranch was the first venue I toured, and I canceled the rest of my appointments after I saw it. Not only were the wedding deck and outdoor patio everything I ever dreamed of, but the staff puts you instantly at ease in what can be an overwhelming process. Gina is constantly accessible to every question and melt down, and Kim helped keep me on track and held my hand through the entire day. Old Glory Ranch takes care of everything for you, the floral and decor is all done in house, they have all the details you would need, they set it up, break it down, and even pack your car. But above all that, it is the most beautiful place in Texas. Starting from the magical meadow filled with wildflowers and butterflies, with the sound of the river as a backdrop to my wedding and then having my reception under the stars surrounded by giant oak trees, with chandeliers in them for cryin out loud. My wedding could not have been more perfect!

Our daughter's wedding was perfect! We are still on cloud nine as we think about the way the Old Glory Ranch team executed every detail (and there were many) so seamlessly. From the carriage ride with her dad before she walked down the aisle to the fireworks at the end, sitting on the back of a vintage convertible with her new husband, the smile never left our daughter's face. Our ceremony was lovely - the flowers were over the top - and the music filled the chapel in such a glorious manner! Their sound tech is amazing, and worked so well with all the musicians, vocalists and the band. Carey, the wedding coordinator, and Karen, the site manager, were present and visible throughout the night. From the first meeting to the last load placed in our car, Gina was there to give a warm hug! Susanne, the owner, is very involved and is a pleasure to work with. Her passion is evident in every part of the process. It was an absolute pleasure for my husband, daughter, son-in-law and me to work with Old Glory Ranch!

From the first meeting with OGR to the wedding day, this site and group of people were outstanding. Not a detail was missed. What a cherished memory we will always have.
Five stars is not enough!

The Old Glory Ranch staff and venue exceeded our expectations! Suzanne and her group were well organized, friendly, and helpful as many of our guests mentioned to us. The event ran like clockwork thanks to their experience. The preferred vendors we chose to take pictures, cater the food and provide the music were “top shelf” and we did not have to concern ourselves with coordinating between them and OGR. As many of our guests mentioned, the venue was beautiful, well decorated and lent itself to an all-around great time for family and friends. The donkeys provided a unique addition to the event and have been a great topic of conversation! As the family of the bride, we were able to spend our time with our guests because we were confident that the staff would take care of all the details during the wedding and reception. Kudos to Suzanne, Gina, Carey and the entire staff of Old Glory Ranch !

Old Glory Ranch is amazing! Carey, Gina, and Suzanne all did a wonderful job making everything run as smoothly as possible at the rehearsal, and at the wedding. All of the decorations and the entire set up of everything looked stunning. I've had numerous people tell me our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to. If you are looking for a place to get married in the Hill Country this is the place to do it!

My mom and I searched high and low for the quintessential "Hill Country wedding" spot. We visited at least 8 different venues, and Old Glory was our last open house. We looked no further! Simply put, there is no greater place to have your wedding in Texas. The staff at OGR are experts at their craft; not only professional but caring. As an out-of-town bride planning from afar, Gina, Carey, Suzanne, and Karen made it incredibly easy for me. They are organized, timely, and gracious planners. You do not need an outside coordinator. They do it all--and aim to please / honor your requests. Trust their judgment, rely on their experience...they pull off amazing weddings almost every weekend of the year. My mom said this wedding was "worth every penny," and my dad was blown away by OGR's warmth and attention to detail. (You could tell how proud he was to be hosting at this charming venue.) From guests, I heard (many times!) throughout the night and for weeks afterward: "That was THE BEST wedding I've ever been to." The flowers and decor included in my package exceeded my expectations. I also highly recommend their house DJ, Chris. (His music is current, and he's a total pro from Austin.) Be sure to spring for the mini-donkeys at your reception... they are a huge hit. Side note: disregard the one negative review posted on this site (5/2010). Though it does take a few weeks to have the design meeting/cost estimate done, OGR does strive to stay within your budget. There are no hidden fees--everything is laid out in a spread sheet. OGR is not a cheap venue. It may seem like "nickel and diming" but I guarantee you, you're paying for the best service, flowers, venue, and professional planning your money can buy. My wedding was rustic/elegant, heavily influenced by Etsy & Pinterest. Though some of OGR's marketing/print ads are a bit dated, they are very current on today's trends. Rest assured: The staff packed up every item after the wedding (down to the last straw, literally) for us to take home, including our unused alcohol, mixers, beer, wine, etc. It is so worth it--Do not pass up on this place!!

On September 15, 2012 my daughter was married at Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. All I can say is Old Glory is amazing! From the moment we arrived to look at the venue in Wimberley we could tell Old Glory was a special place and my daughter knew immediately this was the perfect place to have her wedding. There are so many wonderful and unique things about OGR I could go on and on. But I must first talk about the professional staff. Suzanne McCord is the owner of Old Glory and was incredible when planning the wedding. Suzanne was involved from start to finish. The staff includes Gina McClure and Karen Smith, site managers and Carey Millington, wedding coordinator. This group of women was amazing! They took such time and effort to every detail in planning this wedding, you would have thought they were planning one of their own family member's weddings. In fact, I enjoyed working with them so much I am claiming them as honorary members of ours :). Old Glory also created all of the floral arrangements for the wedding party and for the venue. They were absolutely stunning! We had a large wedding with close to 600 guests and it was amazing how flawlessly the entire day unfolded. The OGR staff (there was an army of them on the day of the wedding) moved the wedding effortlessly from the ceremony, to dinner, and on to dancing. For such a large wedding, OGR was really able to make it feel like a much more intimate affair. There was no waiting in lines at bars, bathrooms, or food stations and for a crowd that size, that is quite a fete. My guests were amazed! I enjoyed every single minute of my daughters wedding day and I really didn’t think that would be possible – I know I have Old Glory to thank. The best comment I received came from my daughter, who told me the next day that her wedding was without a doubt "the best day of her life"! As a parent, it does not get better than that!! Thank You Old Glory Ranch for also making it ours!!!

I could not have chosen a more gorgeous venue for our wedding! My husband and I were engaged in the hill country and enjoy spending vacations there We knew the area was a must in our venue selection. We came across Old Glory Ranch very early on in our search and we immediately knew it was the place! After meeting with Suzanne and Gina for our initial consultation, that was only further confirmed. They, along with their in house coordinator Carey, have this stuff down to a science! You absolutely DO NOT need an outside coordinator if you choose this venue, trust me! I was able to hand everything over to them and the amazing staff, and never once had to worry. Everything was perfect and came together beautifully. The in house floral design is also top notch! All of the arrangments and decor were picture perfect; just as I had imagined. They also see to it that the bride and groom have a full meal packed up and ready to take home. What a nice touch as all of that dancing and mingling sure makes you hungry! I highly recommend Old Glory Ranch to any future bride and groom!

Old Glory Ranch was the second and final venue I visited after we got engaged. Being of different religions, we had already decided to have our ceremony not within a church and this was the kind of place we were looking for. I LOVE the rustic look and feel of the whole place and the layout is awesome. We had our wedding in the chapel and reception on the patio. It was perfect. I live in Houston so making the drive to each of the meetings wasn’t very convenient, but I loved visiting Wimberley and planning the wedding was so much fun. It was great having a venue that was so inclusive and they provide a full list of vendors that they recommend which made choosing a whole lot easier. They also provide the floral arrangements and all the décor, and that made planning a little less hectic. I think the only thing I got upset about during the duration of the planning was the fact that they don’t let flowergirls drop rose petals down the aisle. That crushed me. My day of person, Kim, was awesome. She took care of everything at the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. I couldn’t have done it all myself. Everyone else we worked with was also tremendously helpful. I had friends and family telling me for weeks after the wedding how beautiful it was and how they heard so many people at the reception saying it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. Between the picturesque set up at OGR, our delicious BBQ from Salt Lick BBQ, cakes from Classic Cakes by Lori, homemade wine from a family friend and the band (we had Granger Smith) it turned out even better than I could have imagined . Oh and we also got the miniature donkeys (hugely popular) but they were only out at cocktail hour so I never actually got to see them because we were taking pictures. That was disappointing. But I couldn’t picture having our wedding anywhere else. Old Glory is so unique and beautiful and outdoorsy, it was perfect for us. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommend them to anyone.
