From my first fitting to the last, the team at Saks Bridal in Beverly Hills really outdid themselves. I had the best experience and my dress fit like a dream! It could not have been more perfect. Special thanks to Theresa for making the experience so much fun!
Saks was my second stop while shopping for my bridal gown. I worked with Hermin who was wonderful. She has been helping brides for a very long time and while I was skeptical upon first meeting (she told me a specific designer would do nothing for me), she can take one look at a bride and really know what suits you and your personality. She is very prompt and organized. If you go to Saks, definitely see Hermin.
I was treated with the upmost respect and care by Hermin! She is an amazing consultant never pushy, gave her HONEST input, knew I needed my time to try on other dresses at other stores and never gave me one problem about it! My family loved her and wanted to buy one of the dresses I tried on just because she was such an amazing person to work with! I did have a couple of problems in other areas though, I had called 1 month before I planned on coming down to try on dresses, to make an apt and see if they could get in a few dresses I had been wanting to try on for a long time! I'm not going to mention names but I had been told they would see if they could get these dresses in for me (they sounded like it wouldn't be a problem) and they would call me back. Two weeks went by and I still hadn't received a call. So I called them to make sure they even had me down for an apt because there was only one day I was going to be able to be in LA to try on these dresses. Which I had given the lady the day and time I wanted to be down for. The same lady answered and didn't have me down for an apt let alone remember who I was! Which I understand they deal with a lot of people but if you're going to be checking on something for me I would at least expect the courtesy of writing down my information and actually calling me back not just telling me you would and then not even remember any of that! Especially from a high end place like this! So she tells me since now there is only 2 weeks left until I'm supposed to come in there is only 1 apt time available and she isn't sure if she'll be able to get all of the dresses in but she will try and should be able to get a couple of them in. I get there and none out of the 5 dresses I asked her to bring in for me were there. I felt like I had gotten completely forgotten about. And they really didn't have as many choices as I was expecting to choose from. So I only got to try on 2 dresses. So make sure you follow up ladies!!
I live in LA and have many choices for wedding dress shopping and I did go to many stores. When I went to Saks, everything came together. superb service from Ann Costigan, my bridal consultant. She was simply THE BEST of anyone I'd worked with! I can't say enough good things about her. In addition: Beautiful/peaceful/spacious bridal salon, beautiful selection of designers, prompt ordering process, a big store credit I was able to use towards alterations because I bought the dress during a trunk sale, and they shipped my dress to Hawaii for me in perfect condition. 5 Star all the way!!!!! So happy. I can't recommend them enough!
Saks was my last appointment of the day and by that point I was exhausted. I made the appointment there thinking that it would be out of my price range but worth a look. Boy was I wrong! We walked off the elevator to an entire floor dedicated to wedding dresses. We were greeted promptly, offered water and were able to walk around looking at all the gorgeous dresses. We were handled by Hermin and she is the best! A lovely older French lady who knew her stuff and made you feel beautiful. She let me chose my dresses and then explain why a dress didn't work and what worked on my body which was super helpful in narrowing down the choices. It was the last dress of the day that I tried on that I finally got that "this is the dress" feeling. Hermin was at every fitting and helped guide me to a veil that worked perfectly and advised against a beaded belt when I wanted one - and she was right! She knew where the value is in each dress and knew what accessories to put with it. Everyone loves her and I am told she is the go to person so we were lucky to have her! The alterations were painless and they got it right the very first time so I only had to go twice. They are truly experts and worth every penny. They even stuff the gown, steam it and carry it down to the car for you. White glove service the entire way!
My saleswoman, Anne, was great. And my seamstress, Janet, did beautiful alterations.
Saks Fifth Ave, in beverly hills goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and everything is absolutely perfect. Carol is the wonderful sales woman who helped me and she really made my dress shopping experience incredible. I will tell all my friends to go to Saks to look for their wedding dress.
Beautiful bridal salon, great selection, great service, and fantastic tailors/dress-makers!
I was a little intimidated at first- they have EVERYTHING! Ann Costigan was the nicest and most helpful person ever! Their alterations are amazing and they cater to your style and aim to please in every way. Very nice and down to earth.
Found the dress of my dreams while visiting the UK - when I got back to LA, it was hard to find the designer. Saks happened to carry Jenny Packham and helped to ship the dress out so I could try it on again in the US. They were very friendly and did not charge a rush charge like some places wanted to. We also got 10% off for opening a new Saks account and additional points went to the Saks card. Would recommend a least a visit. They can get pretty much any dress if they carry the designer you are looking for.
It was a classic off white short strapless dress by laundry. It was hard to find a decent elegant dress for a small ceremony since most of the vendors cater to the big weddings and the ones I visited did not carry anything beautiful. Saks was the next best in variety in the city.
They are just gorgeous...
I bought my Kenneth Pool gown 3 months before my wedding at a trunk show. I was given free rush order, a veil and opened a new card for 10% off. If you can afford it (the least expensive gowns are between $3,000-4,000, upwards to $15,000 +) i recommend it. Hermin is an amazing bridal consultant who will ensure you pick the best gown for your body, and zhannett will do an amazing job ensuring the fit.
I was disappointed when I went in for my bridal consultation. I did not receive the best service. I was left alone in the dressing room a lot and the bridal consultant didn't help me pick dresses. My friend purchased her dress from saks for her wedding and the service was great but when it came around to my wedding it was truly lacking.
The dresses are beautiful, but expensive. You will need an appointment. The vendors treat you well.
Our sales associate Hermin was so great that two other friends bought their wedding dresses from her too!
