I don't even know where to begin. We had our wedding at The Palms on 5/4/14. We got married on the beach at 11am Sunday morning and then had their brunch wedding package. The hotel and the scenery are absolutely gorgeous...The ceremony set-up on the beach was so beautiful and romantic. The food for the brunch was soooo good! All of my guests had seconds and thirds! My catering manager/wedding day coordinator and her staff knocked it out of the park. The service and the level of attentiveness they give to the guests and especially the bride is 5 star. They did absolutely everything in terms of set-up and breakdown...I did not have to worry about a thing. This place is definitely worth looking into for your wedding. I can honestly say that nothing went wrong on my wedding day, that I would not have changed a thing, and that it was absolutely perfect! You owe it to yourself to check this place out...you will not be disappointed!
We had both our wedding and rehearsal dinner at the Palms and they were both utterly phenomenal. Our hotel-provided wedding coordinator was Yasmin Gomez and the Captain of catering was Paul King. They both did a stellar job and put a ton of work into making sure our event went off without a hitch. Our guests raved about the buffet menu at the rehearsal dinner and we didn't even have to spend any time selecting items - they default had something for everybody there! The drink service was continuous and had a great selection, ensuring our party stayed well lubricated. I also brought a few special requests bottles with me and the bartender was able to serve them to certain guests without any problems. We also were able to move the party to the Palms Essensia bar afterwards that night and were able to invite all our guests to that part, which went off great. The day of the ceremony, Yasmin was particularly awesome and volunteered to help steam-clean the bride's dress while we wrapped up other preparations. For the wedding ceremony and reception, Yasmin and Paul were able to accommodate a lot of the unusual and diverse requests we had. We had our ceremony on the beach (for which they were able to provide a mobile audio system) followed by a naval officers' sword arch. We then had the cocktail hour on the south lawn where there was a full bar plus seafood raw bar. Then Yasmin was able to line up the wedding party on the fly and get us introduced in a grand entrance into an indoor ballroom with full synch with the DJ despite no rehearsal for this section. At the ceremony, we had both a DJ and live band, and the Palms had no trouble accommodating both. We had an outside vendor provide a chocolate fountain, and we brought a board/drinking game we designed ourselves for the guests, as well as several homemade decorations. They were even able to help us hide the unusual costumes we had for our first dance, and we were able to achieve total surprise on our guests. The Palms staff was able to incorporate all these unusual elements with a lot of care and no hiccups. We kept the party going from 4PM to 1AM and it all went off great. Many guests said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to - and I'd have to agree! Thanks so much Yasmin and Paul for making our day awesome and our dreams come true!
We had the destination WEDDING OF OUR DREAMS at The Palms Hotel and Spa. It was more than just a day for us, we stayed here for the week with our guests and what a fantastic experience we had. As for the actual wedding, we absolutely could not have envisioned a more beautiful, timeless celebration. The property itself is overwhelming in its beauty; our ceremony was held at the gazebo and reception on the Veranda Terrace. Talk about a wow factor. The location and setup were gorgeous. So magical and exactly as we had envisioned.
We owe the success of our wedding to the amazing staff at The Palms, but especially to Yasmin Gomez, the Catering Sales Manager/Day-of Wedding Coordinator. Yasmin helped us plan our wedding long-distance and it was an absolute honor to work with her, from beginning to end. Her talent and professionalism shined through during the planning process, but especially on the day of our wedding. In the moments where we felt like we could have been overwhelmed, Yasmin's calm and confident presence always reassured us. She made sure that every detail was to our satisfaction and made us feel like we were the most important people in the world. With the support of her outstanding team, Yasmin flawlessly executed the wedding of our dreams. Our guests are still raving that it was the most beautiful and most memorable wedding that they have ever been to.
For any bride considering a destination wedding in Miami, The Palms Hotel is the best there is. Special thanks to Moises at the front desk and the hotel staff for going above and beyond to make us feel like family. Thanks to Chef Jaime and his team for preparing an impressive menu, all the food was exceptional! Thanks to Paul K. and his team for orchestrating the reception. And especially, thank you to Yasmin, for being on our side, for being our friend, and for giving us the most wonderful wedding experience ever. We can't wait to come back and visit!

Our wedding at The Palms was perfect! Michelle, the Dir of Catering was amazing to work with. She was always available for questions and changes and made sure everything ran smoothly. The banquet captains and staff were on their game the whole night and made sure all of our guests had everything they needed and took care of every detail with a smile on their faces. They truly made our day special!
Choosing The Palms Hotel and Spa as the venue for our wedding ceremony and reception was the best decision we could make. From the initial visit to the site, we felt welcomed and already certain this would be the perfect venue. In search of a place that could offer us a tropical destination wedding type feel for an affordable cost, we researched over 20 venues in the South Beach area. The Palms is in the perfect location as it is conveniently located on Collins where your guests will have access to the lively vibe of South Beach, yet feel as if they are in a tropical oasis, as it is in an area that is relatively quiet and not as hectic as further down the strip. We were offered a competitive wedding package which was surely the best value for the area. Our guests were offered discounted rooms which were easily booked with the assistance of the reservations department. All our planning and concerns were always addressed with ease and professionalism by Michelle Cannici, catering director. She would field all our emails and phone calls in a timely manner, making it clear from the start she was dedicated to making our day a hassle-free, smooth, memorable experience. She is an expert at what she does! Our ceremony was held on the beach, cocktails on the Essensia Lounge Terrace, and reception in the Royal Palm Ballroom. I can say that the day was simply beautiful. The staff was more than accomomdating and pleasant. The atmosphere was calm and organized. The food was fantastic. The catering/ waitstaff were friendly and efficient. Though we did not have a wedding planner per se, the staff ensured that all needs were addressed, communicated with our outside vendors, and guided us every step of the way that evening. They took care to execute things just as we wanted them. I cannot say enough about this gorgeous wedding experience, and would not hesitate to reccommend this venue to any couple looking for a place where you can have your ceremony and reception at the same site, with outstanding customer service and a great value for your money. Many thanks to the staff at The Palms Hotel & Spa, and particularly to the Director of Catering, Ms. Cannici.
Though I'm the former editor of a bridal magazine and I know every venue in South Florida, I knew there was only one place I wanted to host my engagement brunch--The Palms. Chef Julie has always been such a pleasure to talk with and I appreciate her commitment to using organic, fresh, local meats and produce whenever possible. When I asked her about hosting a brunch there this past September, she responded within hours with a fun, unique menu and even offered to help me save money by making my table arrangements with herbs from her garden.
Needless to say, the meal was even better than we expected. My friends are still craving her sausage and mushroom pizza! And she even made special plates for my vegan friends and my fiance and me (who were too busy socializing to eat the beautiful spread when it was presented!).
Her calm, kind demeanor also apparently spread to her staff. My fiance commented that he's never seen such happy, responsive servers. And we weren't the only group dining at the restaurant at that time!
I HIGHLY recommend brides and brides-to-be consider hosting their event at The Palms. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is attentive and the food is AWESOME!
The Palms Hotel & Spa made our wedding day perfect! With the help of Michelle Cannici (Wedding coordinator) and Paul King (Catering Manager), the day went by with absolutely no stress. They made sure the day was on schedule, guests were enjoying themselves, and that everything was running smoothly. The venue itself was just as beautiful as ever. My guests complimented my husband and I on the location and the venue, saying everything was beautiful and magnificent.
I would highly recommend The Palms Hotel & Spa to any and every couple looking for a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception venue. We are so blessed to have had The Palms Hotel & Spa and all of their staff for our wedding day. Couldn't imagine my wedding any other way without them. And hopefully we will get back soon to just relax on vacation with them again!
The Palms provides a gorgeous setting and you can tell they host many weddings by the way things are organized. All staff is professional, friendly and very service oriented.
During the planning phase we switched wedding coordinators due to a job switch. Although we were a little worried at first I think we were fortunate to have had Monica Henning as our coordinator. She was more responsive and up to speed in no time at all. On the day of the wedding she was great onsite making sure all the little details were the way the bride liked it.
Our banquet captain Paul was also great and he and his team left a great impression with our guest in how organized they were.
The Wedding was by no means cheap but we think the package we selected was good value when you consider the quality of food and service.
We didn't want to do a beach wedding because they can't control outside spectators. The Palms was the best of both worlds. Not at all like a hotel wedding! We were married in the Gazebo, cocktails on their veranda and the reception was in a gorgeous ballroom that looked nothing like the conference rooms you find at other hotels. Monica, our wedding planner was a godsend and assisted us with every detail during our year of planning from out of state. We loved the luxury boutique feel of the wedding. And the day of our wedding Monica and Paul did a great job making sure things went smoothly and exceeded our expectations!
WE had our wedding at The Palms Hotel. It was a wonderful day. Our wedding coordinator Monica Hennings was professional, patient and wonderful to work with. The service and the food was great. I would highly recommend this venue
We were looking for a hotel that would have a very Tropical scene, being sophisticated and have a beautiful venue to host our destination wedding in South Beach (we live in NJ). In our checklist The Palms Hotel had it all.
We had a beach ceremony at 530 in the afternoon (perfect time and weather), and our reception was at the Royal Ballroom.
Beach setup was beautiful, it's included in the wedding package (when you pay beach fee) the chairs, and chuppah with the white fabric decorating it.
Our ballroom was absolutely gorgeous, it's all white with mirrors that give the place the sophisticated touch you need for a wedding. OUr decoration fit perfectly there.
I didn't have a chance to eat the appetizers during the cocktail hour, but my guests said they were wonderful.
The dinner was very yummy, gourmet food.
And the cake, for a wedding cake, was also good (you have some options of bakeries you can get it, it's included in the package also).
I have to tell that my top pic of the whole wedding was our coordinator: Marlem Pujol. She was marvelous! She was by my side helping me and showing me all her steps since early in the morning. She literally went down on her knees to try to fix my dress (that I had ripped after ceremony). She works with passion, with love. We love her for have taken such a good care of our big day.
We had the time of our lives at the Palms, besides the wedding, the service there is wonderful, the staff is really nice and polite.
Our wedding was on May 17th, 2013, we loved everything and we already miss it.
the most wonderful wedding. excellent service.
Everything about the Palms was great. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Our day of coordinator, Marlem Pujol, was helpful from the beginning until post wedding...loved her! The venue is gorgeous...tropical and casual elegant and our guests (and myself) felt like we were in the garden at home celebrating with each other. I would recommend the Palms to any bride and groom :)
We got married at the gazebo and it was perfect. We went to see if the place was as beautiful as the pictures on the internet and we were amazed that it was even more beautiful in person. A few of our guests were not familiar with The Palms and were in awe. Marlem was amazing. Tell her I said hi!!
The Palms was our paradise. It had the island feel but in Miami, FL.
My guests from out of town turned this opportunity into a mini vacation was they truly enjoyed.
My wedding coordinator, Marlem was easy to talk to you, provided suggestions and executed a truly amazing experience. Two months earlier, my fiancé and I went for a food tasting and it was incredible.
I would definitely recommend The Palms as your destination wedding location.
The Palms Hotel & Spa was beautiful for our wedding. The hotel staff really took care of us and they did an excellent job. We worked with a wedding cordinator (Michelle) who was extremely helpful the day of and at our rehearsal.
We loved the fact that the hotel is right on the ocrean. We had some breath-taking shots on the ocean with the rocks. We highly recommend the Palms, even though it is pricey, it is worth it. The food is amazing and the service from the hotel staff was excellent.
We made an appointment to visit the place and we waited for an hour for or event planner. she never showed up for the appointment . then the director of catering came down to meet us and told us we would have to wait an hour more for someone to show us the place. good service would of been, if she would of showed us the place due to us having to wait an hour for hour appointment. I would never recommend the palms for a weeding venue.
I just had my wedding at The Palms this past June and was beyond satisfied with everything. The hotel is beautiful and is such a wonderful setting for a wedding. The pool area is so great and there is an adorable tiki bar that we all hung out at. It is one of the only hotels that is right on the beach and you can get food and drinks brought to you. The gazebo is so charming for the ceremony and we had cocktails on the terrace - the light, breezy atmosphere was such a great transition from the ceremony to the reception. Dinner and Dancing was in the Royal Palm ballroom which was perfection. The ballroom is so spacious and the white walls allow you to decorate any way you like.
The staff at the Palms is so AMAZING!! Everyone who attended our wedding mentioned how friendly and helpful every single staff member was. My husband and I felt completely taken care of and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had such a magical weekend. We worked with Michelle in catering and she is the best of the best. She is so quick to respond to every little question and so accommodating. She went out of her way no matter how busy she was and never made us feel like we weren't the most important couple. The personal attention that you get at the Palms is so unreal and not common. The rest of the staff was just as amazing - they took care of all our guests.
The food was excellent!! People are still complimenting us on it - especially the Raw Bar at our cocktail hour.
I would HIGHLY recommend the Palms to anyone looking for a great weekend destination wedding.
The reason I have to be so harsh here is because of the dissapointment I faced during my wedding at this hotel. Although beautiful, I have to warn brides getting married in the coming months that - if you are looking for a quiet intimate Ceremony where you are able to hear your spouses vows, then this is not the place for you. I was extremely hurt by the fact that I was not advised by my wedding coordinator that there would be full construction site next door. I had to find out the day prior to my wedding when I came in to pay my fees. I was so shocked and stressed that I did not sleep a wink the entire night. I was assured that my ceremony would be quiet as they'd asked the workers to shut off during that time, and that we d work around the reception so taht it wouldn't be as noticeable. Unfortunately for me, the ENTIRE 25 minutes of my ceremony were accompanied by heavy drilling, shouting, and loud alarms going off. I was heartbroken to see my wedding videos, where all you heard was construction. I barely remembered my vows as I was so distracted by the noise, it was horryfying. No one heard us, which is what hurt the most. This is something I will never get back and I am extremely dissapointed in the lack of professionalism to step in and advise their clients of this problem, prior to trapping us into this mess.
All in all our wedding was beautiful at the Palms, but I am left with a sore spot about the customer service we received re: the construction and even with the lack of help while we came in the morning of to set up and get ready - not one person was helpful to assist with anything we needed help with. It was kind of comical, I could not understand how they would not help a bride unload her wedding dress as I was alone stomping along trying to hold everything together. My husband was also unloading the dj equipment in his suit, and not one person helped him.
I will never get this day back.
The Palms was the most perfect venue for our wedding. We are a VA-based couple and searched various resorts all over FL/Caribbean. We chose The Palms Hotel & Spa because of their romantic, serene, and intimate setting. We had our ceremony at the gazebo, cocktail hour on the terrace, and our reception in the Royal Palm ballroom. The grounds were clean and very well groomed. Our guests absolutely LOVED the venue and complimented us several times over the course of our five day stay.
Aside from the venue, the most satisfying experience was working with our coordinator/DOC, Marlem Pujol. Marlem was "on top of her game" as ALL of my vendors complimented. My florist said she never worked with such a competent and meticulous coordinator, EVER. She even went as far as to say that she wish she could clone Marlem! My bridal party, family, and friends all took the time to come to me and told me how impressed they were with Marlem. There is no doubt, that The Palms has an over-qualified asset to their catering team. She really should be working much larger events. Marlem was very responsive, meticulous, friendly, and very educated/experienced in her field. She caught all potential details that could have gone wrong and suggested alternative ideas that would be more suitable (and she was absolutely correct). She went over and beyond the call of duty. During the whole extravaganza, Marlem would run up to me, apply my lip gloss, and disappear to attend to something else! She was AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! Kept an attentive eye on everything and everyone. At one point I even saw her running around carring my mother's purse! I cannot even begin to explain all of the things she did that truly made such a difference. I was blown away the entire time.
Another person I would like to recommend is Paul King, the banquet manager. He was AWESOME! Also very much on top of his game. He took great care of us and made sure we were good and okay during the reception. He was so kind to all of my guests and was such a joy to be around! Loved him!
Overall, we were totally impressed with these two and they really perfected our experience. We could not have had a more perfect wedding without any glitches -- without them. Not one thing was out of place or one mistake occurred. The food was AWESOME and HOT as well.
I highly recommend The Palms Hotel & Spa as your wedding venue, Marlem Pujol as your coordinator/DOC, and Paul King as your Banquet Manager!! You cannot go wrong.
