We chose to use The Broadway for our reception venue only and it was so amazing. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful...exposed red brick, black lacquer floor, elegant wall decor, AWESOME house lighting...The Broadway is the perfect reception spot for people looking for a more modern venue, and a venue that isn't what every other bride is going to use. Susan Wright is an exceptional person who is always willing to work with her brides to get them exactly what they want. When I walked into the venue for the first time, it took my breath away! All of your moments on your wedding day should be breath-takers! I highly recommend The Broadway for a gorgeous, comfortable, fun, and different venue. (Note: you can also choose to have your entire wedding here, it's not limited to reception-only; there is also an option to rent the lower-level to increase capacity or to use for children, older adults, etc).
We loved our wedding at the Broadway. We loved the ease of having the reception and ceremony in the same place. The rooms for the bride and groom to get ready in were very spacious and far away from each other (so bride & groom don't have to worry about seeing each other before the ceremony)! The Broadway communicated with the vendors, helped with the decorations-- definitely a one-stop-shop to anything you could want in your wedding. They made our big day easy & enjoyable!
I had my wedding at The Broadway in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I had actually seen photos of the venue through theknot.com and absolutely fell in love with it. I knew I had to get married and have my reception there, so I did :) The Broadway's staff is very accommodating and will help you make your dreams come true. The venue is a mixture of modern/vintage decor. The Broadway will do most everything for you (for a cost). I had them do my table decorations and they turned out beautiful! The venue accommodates up to 250 guests (I believe). They have 3 separate rooms you can rent out for your reception. I had my wedding and reception here for convenience reasons and it was great. The bridal party has a room located upstairs to get dressed in and the groom/groomsmen have a room to get ready in located downstairs. I highly recommend The Broadway as a venue. It is definitely a must see!
I had my Wedding Reception at The Broadway and it could not have been more amazing. The staff, especially Susan, was so helpful in planning a perfect night. She was able to recommend vendors, coordinate everything on the day of, and was available to answer any and all questions that came up during the planning process. Everything was beautiful and I am really happy with our decision to have our reception at The Broadway!
Susan and her team did a excellent job for our wedding. From the very beginning she was easy to work with and you can count on her to help with anything you may need! Our wedding was amazing and we didn't have any hiccups with her being there and making sure everything went smoothly. The price we paid was excellent for our small (80 People) wedding. Thank you so much Susan, I'm so glad we found you! - Ashley Barnes
Absolutely LOVED The Broadway for my reception! My guests are seriously still talking about the experience to this day. Loved the atmosphere (downtown feel, exposed brick, amazing lighting). Susan (the owner) can be a bit tricky to communicate with, but she works so well with whatever needs you have. Best "bang for your buck" in the Tulsa area. I would do it all over again.
We initially booked the facility for just the main area when we were planning to have a smaller wedding. When the guest list grew, thankfully The Broadway had expanded the facility and we were able to rent the entire facility. Unfortunately, the rest of the facility is down some stairs and separated off from the main room, which was a downfall when it came to our guests being able to see everything that occurred. We did leave a lot of room in the main room for people to stand and we announced over the loud speaker before anything was happening to allow people to come and see if they chose.
Prices that we were originally quoted changed by the time that we got to our wedding. When we enlarged the guest list they suggested valet parking. I had originally planned for 250 and was told valet should be around $475ish. When I gave them my final number of 210, they ultimately charged me $650 for valet. Also, they changed their pricing structure on rental of the facility from the time we made our initial deposit and with the enlargement of the guest list, it made it hard to determine what the price would be. I never saw any sort of revised price list, but relied on the owner to calculate which option was better for me price wise. At the end of the day, it cost us a lot more than we had planned based on discussions with them along the way. Also, it had been my understanding during the planning process that they would be happy to set some stuff up for us on the tables if we brought it in ahead of time. But once I had my final meeting with them, I was told that I needed to bring my family and we needed to set it up ourselves the day before the wedding. That was fine, but added stress when I learned this about 2 weeks prior to the wedding. Luckily we were able to have enough people there to help to get it all done.
In the end, the reception was beautiful, the guests raved about what a neat facility it was, and all ended well. It just added what I felt was unneeded stress for us along the way.
Susan worked with us on everything we did! She was great! The place is wonderful, works with any style wedding. She made it beautiful. It was more than I imagined. Anything we asked or were curious about she was more than helpful to answer or fix. If you find the Broadway, it is a great price and the people go above and beyond anything I imagined. This is a great place and I love the renovations. Thank you Susan from Matt and Ashley!
The Broadway was such a fantastic venue. I love the urban look. This venue has the perfect location, making it easy for even out of town guest to find.
The owners were so willing to help out with everything from sending a room layout, set up, helping out during my event, and break down. I would recommend The Broadway again & again!
I used the Broadway for my wedding in May of 2011. The Broadway was exactly the space we wanted, extremely modern! The owner Susan, says she's an event coordinator, but she's definately not. I loved using the space for my wedding, but anything that was trusted to Susan was not executed as it should have been. My advice to anyone thinking of using the Broadway is don't let Susan handle anything for you, even simple things. I would hire an event coordinator, or give out duties to people in the wedding party.
Susan was absolutely amazing. She helped with so much of the prep work and made the day run smooth and easy. It is a remarkable indi-funky venue with vaulted ceilings and a beautiful lower floor and raised patio on the back. AMAZING.
