I recently married at The Enchanted Estate (August 2013) and I cannot begin to express how amazing the day was. From the very beginning, Raven worked with me to make sure everything was perfect. She is a unbelievable worker and goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied.
The Enchanted Estate is breathtaking to begin with, but on my wedding day, it truly was remarkable how beautiful every thing was. The flowers were perfectly bloomed and bright, the food was phenomenal, the staff was wonderful and courteous, and the day was just perfect.
I understand that the price for this venue could seem costly, however it is worth every dime spent. Everyone at The Estate truly makes your day perfection.
My wedding took place Friday July 26th 2013 at The Enchanted Estate. My wedding coordinator was Raven and I absolutely LOVED working with her. She was always just a phone call away and had a lot of great suggestions as to how to make my vision of my wedding come true. The venue was absolutely GORGEOUS and we picked the best time of year because all of the flowers were bloomed and beautiful. We did have some rain on our day and had to switch from the planned location to a different location outside on the grounds but it actually worked out better for us!! The food absolutely turned out great and I heard nothing but praise from my guests regarding the food that was served. The one thing about this venue is that it is VERY EXPENSIVE. Just for the venue and the food it was about 95 dollars a person that is with a discount for booking on a Friday and when the venue was trying to fill dates so they offered an additional incentive by lowering the price of the cost of the meals per person. Looking back, I had such an excellent experience with the venue that I would gladly pay it again to have the quality reception that we did have at Enchanted!
I got married at Narnia/Enchanted Estates June 1, 2013 and it was the perfect venue. Service, ambiance, ceremony site, food- everything was just amazing. As named, it is an Estate so basically a big house with a tent attached for the reception portion. Throughout the event guests can go through the house, which has lots of interesting murals and things for to look at. The best part is the beautiful landscaping and outdoors, there are so many great spots for pictures and a beautiful backdrop for a ceremony. We were set to get married outside, but it was raining all day- we switched from outside to inside several times and were lucky enough to be able to do it outside. The staff was amazing through all of this and did an unbelievable job from start to finish. Katie was our coordinator and she was outstanding. Katie went above and beyond in so many ways! By the end of the night, everybody knew her because she was always there taking care of everything, she really made the whole experience come together smoothly and was such a sweetheart. The food was outstanding, we had the opportunity to meet the chef a few times and she really is very talented. We had steak and shrimp and I have gotten so many compliments on the food- I have literally had multiple people tell me it was not only the best food they have ever had at a wedding, but that it was the best steak they have ever had! The cake was included in the price (they use Creative Cakes) and again I have had so many compliments on the cake, which people rarely even eat- and was just another detail Narnia took care of. Seriously, could not have asked for a nicer and more helpful staff. Raven (another coordinator) was extremely helpful pre-wedding, Katie was the best from booking the wedding until the very end and the rest of the staff was just great. My family stayed after to clear up everything and the staff was helpful even then when the wedding was over. I cannot tell you how many messages I have gotten and how many people have told me it was the best wedding and venue (and I just got back from my honeymoon so I haven't even seen anyone yet!) We got so many compliments on the grounds, the house, the food, basically on all the things that matter1 It was the dream venue and made our wedding day better than I could have ever imagined. If you want to have a really unique venue that you can have a beautiful outdoor ceremony at I would highly recommend the Narnia/Enchanted Estates, you and your guests will not be disappointed in any aspect of your special day! Thanks Narnia/Enchanted Estates for everything!
I had my wedding at The Enchanted Estate in November of 2012 and it was truly a dream come true. I fell in love with this venue the moment I saw it. The house is stunning with infinite photo opportunities both inside and out. I worked with Raven in preparing for my wedding and she was amazing. She returned phone calls and emails promptly and was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and concerns. On the day of my wedding everything was flawless. Raven was there to help in making sure everything ran smoothly, in addition to their attentive staff who helped in ensuring that my wedding day was exactly what I had always dreamed of. I cannot say enough good things about this venue. Anybody looking for a wedding venue that is out of the norm should definitely consider The Enchanted Estate.
We enjoyed working with Raven and the Estate was beautiful. Our day was perfect. All our guests enjoyed the food and Estate as much as we did.
I loved my wedding venue, it is super personal and the staff will go out of their way to help whenever you ask. The food turned out even better then our tasting and the bar staff and servers were awesome! Couldnt imagine it anywhere else. It is so nice to be the only wedding at the venue and have the staff's full attention. Plus the landscaping makes for beautiful pictures!
This is a nice location for a summer outdoor wedding. Nice places for pictures. After about three people, Raven managed our wedding. She was the most understanding and helpful. Food was only okay. Otherwise, it's expensive.
I had my absolute dream wedding and reception at The Narnia Estate in October 2011. We had an outside ceremony and the grounds provided an exquisite backdrop. Everyone kept commenting on how cool the venue was. The staff was very easy and friendly to work with and I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an outside ceremony site. Even the reception tent was beautiful.
Best place ever to have a wedding...beautiful...great staff and pictures are pricesless!
My wedding was beautiful. They let me do what I want and gave me help where I needed it. It was the fist wedding I saw everyone at all their food. I woulndt have changed a thing...
We got married on October 8, 2011 and The Narnia Estate was eveything we could have imagined. The weather was perfect so we got to have our wedding outside by the gazebo surrounded by the changing trees and flowers. There is a huge bridal suite where you and your bridesmaids can relax and freshen up before the ceremony and use through out the night to keep all your things in. The groomsmen get to use the basement part that has a pool table, darts, poker table. The food was excellent. We had a duo entree with chicken and steak. Everyone said how delicious it was. Everything ran very smoothly the day of the wedding due to the great staff, espcially Katie who we cooridnated with through out the whole year to make sure everything was set for the big day. She even rearranged her schedule to be there the day of. Had a great day!
Our day could not be more perfect if we hosted it anywhere else in my opinion. If you are looking for a place that makes you feel like you are far away from home and somewhere magical this is the place to host your wedding. It is so picturesque, with its water fall, pond, prairie, woods, beautifully decorated mansion and inviting reception hall. We got married on the grounds under a wrought iron gazebo, outside in nature with the sun setting behind us. Our photos turned out so beautiful on the grounds. The staff was amazing and accomodating. The food was excellent. Everything was so perfect and everything we expected and more!
Narnia is absolutely beautiful. My guests were impressed with the decor, food, and landscaping. We had rain on our wedding day, but we did not mind in the slightest because our indoor ceremony was perfect. Working with Katie and all other staff, during the planning process, was painless. We absolutely loved The Narnia Estate. Although Narnia may be a little more expensive than other venues, it was worth every penny. Best part was that we did not eat "wedding bland food". The food was delicious! I will recommend this venue to everyone. Thank you Katie for making our day perfect!
This venue was phenomenal! Not only is it absolutely beautiful and classy, but the service is unforgettable. They work with you in order for your day to be everything you want it to be. The food is great and there's plenty of space for guests. I would refer this venue to anyone.
The entire staff was pleasant and courteous. The grounds were great for taking pictures, especially inside.
We received numerous compliments that our venue was the prettiest and classiest place our guests had ever been to. We got married in July and the grounds were immaculately covered in all types of flowers. We also did our wedding ceremony on site with cocktail hour immediately following on the front driveway. The price of renting/using the Narnia Estate is STEEP, but the ambiance and seclusion of 50 acres to yourself is worth it. It was a hard wedding to finance, but I've never seen anything prettier! We would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Thank you Narnia Estate for making our wildest wedding dreams come true!
We held the wedding and reception for our daugher at The Narnia Estate in late May, 2011.
The venue is very beautiful for an outdoor wedding. Additionally they have a fine backup in the reception tent in the event of bad weather. Our wedding was held indoors because of storms (the thunder added a bit of drama to the actual ceremony). The Narnia staff was very helpful and accomadating in all the arrangments and the ceremony was wonderful.
The problem began at the reception. The first three tables were served chicken breast which was raw inside!. Of course the kitchen was immediately notified and there ensued a delay of about one hour before the remainder of the 189 guests were served their main course. Consequently the evening's programme was a train wreck (guests have to be out by 11:00pm).
I understand problems happen in kitchens (a bad oven in this case). But at around $70 per guest, you expect a higher class kitchen service. Believing we had not gotten value for what we paid, I approached the management about compensation. I suggested 20% and they offered 5%. Because friends in the entertainment and service industries stated that 20% was quite appropriate, I replied that I did not think 5% at all fair. They responded by asking what sort of compensation I would think fair to not post any negative comments on the internet. I replied that I had no interest in that level of discussion and that they should do what they believed was good. Since that time no compensation has been forthcoming.
It is a shame that such a delightful setting for a wedding a reception should be marred by poor business practice. Because all is paid before the wedding day, if you elect to use Narnia, make sure that your contract has clear statements of compensation should things like this happen.
I just had my wedding at The Narnia Estate in October. It was the absolute perfect setting. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was great, and my wedding day was perfect! If you are looking for a unique and private setting for your wedding, this is it!
I recently had my wedding at The Narnia Estate. I am very happy with them overall. There are a few things that could of been different to make the wedding day less hectic/stressful. They have no one directing/helping at the ceremony and didn't even come out of the house for our rehersal. I did have a wedding coordinator but that wasn't much help for the day of. You would think they would help inform you better but your on your own. My girls were standing and not sure when to walk down the driveway or the aisle etc. The same thing for me, which made for a few awkward moments. I also had an extra bar inside for cocktail hour, but my guests had no idea that the house was even open, some guests complained that the food was dry and not enough seasoning, I did enjoy my dinner and the cake was delicous. Overall I would choose Narnia over and over again it is truly every thing I have been dreaming of since I was a girl. There were some bumps along the way but the good out way the bad.
Our friends just got married at the Narnia Estate and it was amazing. I have never heard of this place before we went there but since going I can’t wait to one day plan my wedding there. The food we had during the cocktail hour was wonderful and the dinner… Well forget about it, it was so good. I felt like we were eating at a high end restaurant. The staff was polite and the serves was upbeat and together.
The grounds were so private and the flowers were beautiful. You just have to see it to believe it.
I would definitely recommend this place to any bride looking to plan their dream wedding day.
