Flander's Wedding 9/7/13    posted 9/24/2013

We recently got married at The Flanders, and all I can say is from our very first consultation and venue walk through, we knew we wanted to get married there. What we didn’t know at the time was how amazing Karen Bergman and Anne Sloane were going to be over the course of our planning and wedding weekend. From the outset, Karen was very informative and readily available to answer the onslaught of questions a newly engaged couple has about weddings.

One of the biggest selling points for us, besides Karen and her team, was the chef. Chef Mike, who led our private tasting, put out some of the best food I’ve had at a wedding. We crafted a menu that was delicious and very accommodating to dietary needs (bride and MOB are gluten-free). Almost all of the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres ended up being gluten-free. At the tasting, we were informed that the steaks would be cooked to temperature and served with butter knives--a bold statement considering the size of our wedding, but one that was backed up.

As we got closer and closer to our big day, Karen and her team accommodated the needs of our large wedding party (265 guests) most of whom were staying at The Flanders. With nearly 75 rooms booked for the weekend, Dorothy, the front desk manager, handled everything with great care and patience. The rooms were unbelievable and tailored with all the modern amenities you’d need. Our guests were happy with the rooms and the level of service provided through their stay.

We also had our ceremony on the beach outside the hotel and the level of coordination, planning and execution was impressive. If we wanted or needed something to happen, Karen found a way to get it done. My father-in-law is a diabetic amputee with prosthetic leg, and Karen even managed to find a beach runway so he could walk his daughter down the aisle. They will go above and beyond to make your day everything you want it to be.

While the reception seems like a blur, the white-gloved service was exceptional and our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The night went off without a hitch and we owe a lot of that to Karen and the team at The Flanders. They are professional and meticulous in their planning and execution, but always personal and invested in your happiness. I would recommend The Flanders to anyone and everyone that asked.

The Flanders went above and beyond my expectations!    posted 9/8/2013

The moment I walked into The Flanders, I was in LOVE with the antique and vintage decor and the feel of every room I saw! We met Karen, the wedding coordinator, and I was seriously blown away by all that she offered and how personable she was. She listened to my whole vision of wanting an old hollywood 1920s themed wedding and helped me create it from the moment I met her! I knew for sure after meeting her that my wedding was going to be at The Flanders!

Besides Karen being amazing, chef Mike makes THEE most delicious food i've ever had. Especially the filet mignon! I have a gluten allergy, and my mother in law has a bad shellfish allergy. He went out of his way to accommodate us which meant a lot. The entire night of my wedding everything went perfectly. Not one thing went wrong! The ENTIRE Flanders staff was so incredibly great! Extremely friendly, helpful, and always there for us and our guests. I had over 200 people at my wedding and everyone i've seen after has raved about the food and the service, which are HUGE factors in having your dream wedding! We even had Manco and Manco pizza at the end of our wedding which was a hit! We honestly can't be any happier with The Flanders....they went above and beyond to give me my dream wedding!

Our Wedding at The Flanders on June 26th 2010    posted 12/1/2010

My husband and I had our wedding at The Flanders on June 26th 2010 and could not have had a more memorable day. Thanks to the beautiful day put together by Karen (thanks Karen) and her wonderful staff!! We were blown away with all the attention to us and all details we wanted to have included. The gray, fuschia, & plum wedding pictures are our wedding and we were blown away by everything The Flanders did to pull that off. The next day my husband and I said to each other "Let's do it again!". And that really had so much to do with our venue. Thanks again to all the hard work put into our special day. Anyone thinking of having their big day here, you will not regret it at all.

best wedding vendor!    posted 12/1/2010

I had my wedding on October 24th, 2010 at the Flanders and it was a day to remember! Karen, our wedding coordinator, did an amazing job making sure everything went flawless! The place looked like it came out of a fairytale! I had my ceremony there too in the Garden Room and it was just breathtaking! As a first time bride and a girl who has never even been to a wedding I had a lot of worries but Karen and the staff at the Flanders took care of everything and really directed me and my guest so nothing went wrong! This is a vendor who genuinely cares about your special day and wants nothing more to make it the best day of your life! I would recommend this vendor to anybody who really wants a special wedding day with no worries! :)

The Flanders Hotel-Perfect Wedding Venue!    posted 11/28/2010

We had our reception at The Flanders Hotel on November 13, 2010 and could not have been happier with our choice. The Flanders Hotel is an amazing venue with high ceilings and gold finishes that left our guests in awe. The ballrooms are gorgeous and the additional up- lighting we added created a magical and romantic ambiance.
The food was spectacular and our cocktail hour included a raw bar, sushi, lollipop lamb chops, meats, cheeses, and tons more. Dinner was a perfectly spaced five-course meal with filet mignon cooked to order, intermezzo, and an amazing desert bar including waffles and ice cream sundaes, coffee bar with cordials, taste of the boardwalk and more. The Chef worked with us to pick out a diverse menu and even let us pick foods that were a part of our heritage. This was definitely a special touch and both our families loved it!
The service was great and we felt like a King and Queen. We definitely recommend the Flanders Hotel if you are looking for a venue that will cater to all your needs. We truly had the Wedding of Our Dreams!!
