I can not say enough about how fantastic the Pines was for my wedding. We used them as our caterer (we used a different venue)and am still getting compliments on the food. There were literally no leftovers because people went up so many times to the buffet. We used the mac and cheese bar, and it was honestly the best decision we made. From 1 year olds to grandparents, people were digging in! The entire team at Pines did everything they could to make sure we were happy, taken care of and having a great time. They easily handled special requests from Gluten free, to a fast meal for a hungry flower girl.
They made my wedding easy, painless and most importantly one that our guests loved! I would not only use them again for a wedding, but would use them for any event I have
The Pines was wonderful! They gave us exactly what we asked for and worked with us on every detail. They took care of all the rentals and organized everything.

We recently had our wedding at Washington Park this past June and utilized the Pines for catering services. They were absolutely amazing!! I was referred by someone who utilizes their services for corporate catering events, and we are so happy to have found them. We working with both Stephanie and Regan who were very professional and easy to communicate with. We did not have a wedding planner, but both Stephanie and Regan were wonderful in helping us not only with the catering but with the planning and logistics for the big day! They always made themselves available to meet with us especially in the weeks leading up to the day. They helped us work through orders with other vendors and streamlined the whole process. The food was great which was reiterated by almost all of our guests (who had second and even third helpings in some cases!!). Everything from the original tastings to the day of our wedding was handled with professionalism and care. The staff was wonderful and was available to help us transition our seating from the area of the ceremony in the park to the boathouse where the reception was held. We could not have pulled off this memorable experience without their expertise! A huge thanks to The Pines and especially Stephanie and Regan for all of their help!! We would never hesitate to use them again and would recommend them for anyone in need of catering services!!!

This place had breath-taking views and the staff was a delight! Many of our guest commented on what a beautiful and scenic setting it was. I loved working with Regan; she was extremely kind and helpful. It was a wonderful place to get married!!
I had my wedding at the Pines at the beginning of May. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious! And the staff was incredible. Lindsey helped throughout the planning process and Regan was the day of coordinator and made sure everything was exactly what we wanted. I HIGHLY recommend the Pines.
Anyone who doesnt look into using The Pines for catering is missing out. My picky uncle even said is was "the best wedding food he has ever eaten!" Trust me, they will not disappoint. Stephanie was our contact and she was organized, flexible, kind, fun, and knew how to do her job well. We can't thank her enough for really making our night amazing. Book them... you wont be sorry.
There probably aren't many dads who write wedding reviews, but I just wanted to give a shout out to The Pines at Genesee. They have great people working there. The food is REALLY wonderful, they let you provide your own liquor, and all the guests who came to my daughter's wedding were very impressed. It's a beautiful facility. They recently renovated the lower level where we held my daughter's wedding. The aspen terrace was gorgeous for her ceremony, too.
My daughter and her new husband got married at The Pines, and we all couldn't be happier with our choice of venue. There wasn't even a tiny hitch. The entire evening was flawless. The ceremony site was spectacularly beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff was cheerful and helpful. And all the pre-wedding planning was so productive and fun with Lindsay - it made the whole engagement a wonderful year.
As Father of the Bride, I can say The Pines at Genesee is a terrific venue. Of course the most important thing is that my daughter and her groom had the most wonderful evening of their lives at their wedding. But also the people there are very easy to work with. They let you provide your own alcohol, which saves a LOT of money. They have tastings where the bride can invite family members to try the food prior to the wedding and have some say on the menu. And their food is exceptional. The setting is beautiful. And a father is only as happy as his daughter, so I was very grateful to The Pines for making my daughter happy!
My daughter got married at The Pines at Genesee in August, and it was truly magical! Our contact Lindsay took all the stress out of the planning and helped make our unique celebration run very smoothly. She connected us with all our vendors (who were wonderful) at no extra charge and helped on the day of the wedding, so we could just enjoy the whole event. My daughter and her new husband were married on the Aspen Terrace which is tucked away in the woods. The photos are spectacular. Then we had a large number of guests, so we had appetizers upstairs and moved downstairs for an elegant dinner. The food was fantastic. I still have people telling me it was the best wedding they've ever been to! And my daughter and her husband couldn't be happier! I HIGHLY recommend The Pines at Genesee.
We had high expectations for our wedding, and Lindsay and the Pines somehow even exceeded those expectations. Our wedding was so memorable in so many ways and everything about the night was perfect. Much of this can be attributed to Lindsay, the Pines Venue, and the Pines staff. They were so easy to work with, they were affordable, the food was delicious, and the location was beautiful. Our guests are still talking about what a great night it was.
The Pines at Genesee made our wedding so memorable for my groom and I, as well as for our guests. The venue was spectacular, and was so typical Colorado for all of our out of town guests. The food was delicious and on top of all that, they did such a fantastic job planning, organizing, and providing such wonderful service. Our guests are still talking about how it was one of the best weddings they'd ever attended.
The food was AMAZING and the service outstanding. Truly enjoyed being a guest! The views are gorgeous - we were even lucky enough to see some elk after the ceremony.
My sister was married here and everything was wonderful! Fabulous food, great service and a beautiful location. We would highly recommend this place.
The Pines at Genesee is a great venue that I would recommend to any bride. The food is delicious and the coordinators and staff are very friendly and experienced. Plus, it is such a beautiful setting!
My husband and I were beyond thrilled with The Pines! Food is amazing. The staff is wonderful and very helpful throughout the entire planning process, up until the big day! The views are breath taking and the downstairs is newly renovated! Simply gorgeous! I would definitely recommend this awesome venue!
We had our wedding May 11 at the Pines at Genesee. We had an outdoor ceremony at the Evergreen Wedding Terrace and our reception was held indoors on the lower level. The Evergreen Wedding Terrace was beautiful, even with the late snow. After the ceremony we also walked up the hill a little way and took photos which turned out great and had the outdoor/mountain feeling that we were going for. It was also nice to have perfect scenery at the venue instead of having to drive somewhere else to take pictures and come back. The lower level was redone about a year ago and was very nice inside. There are new floors, a fireplace, and the layout was great for a wedding reception. Lindsay was our wedding coordinator and she did an awesome job of running everything. She was so patient and on top of her stuff. Before the wedding she even had a weather map pulled up to assure me that the rain would stop before the ceremony started. We were able to keep our ceremony outside which made me really happy. The value there is also great, they include everything you will need except the decorations. You don't have to worry about hidden fees or other things. You can also bring in your own alcohol which saved us thousands of dollars. That is also part of the value of this place! I visited a lot of venues that had the outdoor/mountain setting and this one by far was the best value and was still everything we were looking for. It was also nice that it was close to Denver for out of state guests so they didn't have to fly in and drive hours up a mountain. We had so much fun at our wedding and everyone talked about how beautiful it was! I am thrilled we went with the Pines, they take great care of the couples during wedding planning and the day of!
The Food: I was a little concerned from the beginning when I couldn't find many reviews on the venue and no reviews on the sister catering company, especially after going to the tasting and only liking half the food. But the contract was signed and we were committed. Thankfully the food the night of was excellent and the servers and bartenders were wonderful.
The Venue: We signed our contract while the lower level was still under construction so we took a gamble on what we'd be getting. It ended up turning out beautifully! Now they just need to work on the upper level which is in desperate need of an update. The ceremony sites are very nice. However the Evergreen terrace (where we were) has a very steep incline so be careful when selecting you and your bridesmaids shoes. The rules for the venue and the contract are very strict and there is not much room for altering the timeline they have set in place since they can have 2 weddings per day. Also, there is very little time for setup so be sure to have a few people there dedicated just to that. We had 2 people setting up and they ran out of time. Their pricing was great. We literally looked everywhere and this was the most affordable for the venue style and they were the most upfront with their costs. Right from the beginning you know exactly what everything will cost and aren't surprised by any additional fees once you sign the contract. On top of that you can bring in your own alcohol which saved us a fortune. Can't beat that.
The Staff: Lindsay was incredible thru the whole planning process. Always prompt at responding to emails and very thorough in explaining every last detail. Unfortunately, she informed us a couple weeks before that she was unable to be there to coordinate the day of (not her fault) and someone else would be taking over. Well the girl who replaced her was obviously inexperienced. We felt like we had to chase her down to have her tell us what we were supposed to be doing. She seemed unconcerned about anything the entire night and left 2 hours before the guests did. Had I known, I would have hired my own day of coordinator which is really unfortunate since I had heard such great things about Lindsay running everything so smoothly for other weddings. I'm not sure if the night seemed off to anyone else, but it definitely had us frustrated at certain points. I really wish Lindsay was able to be there. The servers and bartenders were very nice though and did a great job.
Overall, we were happy with everything and our guests raved about the food, the venue, and the location. I gave 4 stars for quality because I think there's always room for improvements. Service would have gotten 5 stars if we didn't have the "fill in" coordinator. Value was excellent.
