Sue was very helpful with coordinating everything for our wedding. The Yacht Club is absolutely beautiful, we had our ceremony upstairs (Yacht Club room), and our reception was down stairs in the Coastal Room. The dance floor is huge, and if you use the 'preferred vendors' they give you a discount from what they normally charge(you can look it up) and the vendors all talk to each other, it made things a lot easier. I am so glad that we choose to have our wedding here. I would not have changed anything.
I was married in the shoreline room which offered indoor/outdoor for my event which was great especially on a beautiful day! The only issue was with their preferred vendor list! They wouldn't budge on the caterer! The food was mediocre to say the least but the florist did an amazing job as well as the person who made our wedding cake. I would definitely recommend this venue for location and beautiful rooms. My day was a fairytale in the end!
The venue for my reception was fabulous. A little pricey but the service was wonderful. They have a great set up where you can have both the wedding and reception there but I only had the reception so we were able to have a 5 hour reception using the outside deck for the cocktail hour.

This place was so beautiful and the staff was nice and professional. I had so many compliments on the venue and how gorgeous everything was put together!!! Will definitely everyone about this place!

I wasn't sure at first or even after booking how this would all come together but they made this the most beautiful wedding, venue and everything. I love Jennifer Ireland!
Everything was perfect day of the wedding and Sue was very easy to work with. Beautiful location right on the water and we were able to come up on our boat. The day couldn't have been more perfect and they really helped accommodate us with everything.
Sue was my coordinator at the yacht club and she truly made my entire wedding process flow smoothly and made sure my day was perfect in every way possible! When I would've-mail her with questions she would always get back with me by the end of the day, and she was able to meet with me several times to show my bridal party and parents the event space. The day of my wedding the staff took care of everything from set up and break down of the space to making sure my husband and I were actually able to eat dinner. It was truly the best day of my life and if it weren't for the staff at the yacht club I don't thing I would of ever been able to pull it off.
I met with Jennifer who provided wonderful customer service. She was so helpful and sat down with me and my entourage to explain all the package and room options. She went above and beyond and even showed me and my family how each room looks set up. She was just excited about my wedding as I was, and she was even more excited at the possibility of being involved in our wedding day as our coordinator.
We loved everything about The Yacht Club! Perfect location, friendly staff, helpful wedding packages, wonderful vendors! They helped make our day perfect!!
Loved that it was an all inclusive deal. Made wedding planning easy. Plus if you had trouble getting ahold of a vendor, Sue took care of it. She was always very quick to respond :) Beautiful site! Everyone complimented it.
I think the venue is a good one for those that want a neutral scheme with water without wind and sand. Some things that were done were acceptable and some were not. Nothing in my opinion was exceptional or outstanding. Let me get into some details. When I arrived which was about 45 minutes before the ceremony started....the reception room was no where near completed with table lines, flowers, etc. Table numbers and layouts were not as I had specified and in fact the grooms parents table was at the back of the room. I had to move it myself. The room felt cold and empty. When some of the guests started to arrive, the wedding programs were still in the closet. Where was the event coordinator? The florist was still decorating as guests arrived. In fact, I had to track down the flowers for the mothers and grandmothers and give them to them myself. The dressing room was hot with no air. Cuisine and Company was a BIG disappointment. We paid over $18,000 just to that one vendor. We had 170 or so guests. There were no salt and pepper shakers on the tables and in fact they did not bring ANY to the site!. There was no bread on the buffet line until most went back thru and even then the bread was nothing but sliced baquettes. No rolls or bread variety of any kind. No presentation what so ever! Tea was not served at all tables. The salad was wilted and brown. The meat was suppose to be prime rib slices that we paid extra for. It was shaved roast beef. The servers that were suppose to serve champagne were no where to be found. Instead our quests were told "go get your glass of champagne off the back table.! Really!!!! All in all ..very unimpressive buffet line food presentation for $18,000 plus dollars. I received a credit for the food but I would much rather have things been done to our specifications than to have received that credit. for what this cost us. Flowers. What can I say. More disappointment. We paid almost $8,000 for flowers and chair skirts. The girls bouquets were gorgeous but I have to say that was the highlight of the flowers. The room and tables looked bare. I don't think putting a few spotty candles and a hydrangea in a glass or on some putting a vase filled with water and skimpy floating orchids on the tables equates to WOW flowers. The cake was delicious by Incredible Edibles. What was right or o.k. The appetizers and the other food were tasty. But the lack of presentation did the whole thing in. The event coordinator left as soon as the girls walked down the aisle. All in all....not a wow factor. But it is all in what you want. If you want casual without a lot of flare this venue will suit you. If you want WOW, I'd go somewhere else.
My wedding we exactly what I wanted and the wedding package was so easy to work with and even my mom was happy!
I loved this venue for my wedding, the staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. They were fully available for any questions or concerns we had. The day ran very smoothly.

The Yacht Club was an amazing venue. Sue was so helpful and easy to get in touch with. While the budget was hard to maintain and I know we went over, but the wedding was fabulous!
The Yacht Club is a beautiful location for a wedding. We got married on the new deck of the Yacht Club Room and then had our reception inside the Yacht Club room, both which were set up beautifully.. That being said, I expected for the price paid, I would have received a little better service. The package includes a DJ, photographer, florist, and catering, but we ended up choosing our own DJ and photographer because we got much more for a smaller cost then they offer. Sue was helpful and nice, but was not the kindest on my actual wedding day. My mother-in-law was running late and she came down into the dressing room and informed us that the reception downstairs was going to begin and she could not hold it off. It appears the timing was not planned very well for our ceremony and the new Coastal rooms reception. We were also told we could not keep our belongings in that room because it could not be locked. I ended up having to take all my makeup (no touchups for me) and other items to the car, only to come down later and find the door was locked! We also asked to extend our ceremony another hour, which would cause us to pay more!, but we were informed it was too late... seems the staff wasn't interested in working another hour. On top of that, Sue was no where to be found. As soon as the clock hit 11, lights were on and staff was clearing the place out.. Not the nicest way to end our night. Overall, I loved the view, the set up, and my family, friends,and my own DJ made the experience absolutely wonderful. Since it was our wedding day, we didn't let these details get us down, but we were just a little disappointed with some aspects. I would not rule this location out, as it as many positives, but just be very specific about what you want!!
The Yacht Club at Marina Shores is amazing! The process of planning my wedding was almost effortless. Sue and Todd made sure every detail was perfect. All the vendors they work with really care about making your day a success. Thank you, Sue and Todd, for making my wedding the best day of my life! It was truly a fairy tale wedding.
I couldn't be more pleased with The Yacht Club at Marina Shores. Sue is amazing, accomodating, professional and keeps a great staff. The venue was to die for. Their preferred vendors were awesome and easy to work with. I loved the different package selections and also felt like I still had all the personal touches I was looking for. I liked not having to worry about whether or not a vendor would show or worry about how things would look. Everything turned out gorgeous. The Shoreline Room is stunning. Prices are very reasonable and you can't beat the customer service. I loved it. Thank you SUE!!!!!
My wedding at the Yacht Club at Marina Shores was absolutely beautiful. I loved the fact that all of the event venues over looked the water. The new construction of the venue caught my eye. My wedding was held in the new Coastal Room which was decorated beautifully by Black Iris Floral. The other main reason why I chose the Yacht Club was the fact that they offered wedding packages. During my research in finding a venue, a lot of other places did not offer this option. I was able to pick a package that was with in my budget and it included a caterer, a DJ, a photographer, a florist, and a baker. The event staff at Marina Shores was very helpful and was always very accomodating as well.
My wedding was beautiful..not because of marina shores but because I had friends and family in place to ensure things went right. The event planner there got paid alot of money to do NOTHING! She left immediately following my ceremony with a box full of my catering food with out saying goodbye or introducing anyone who was her replacement for the night. A tug boat proceeded to rev his engine during my vows and she did nothing! The only time management appeared all night was to collect a check to extend us an hour. When my family called after the wedding with their concerns about how things were ran her response was that it wasn't her fault nor the fault of Marina Shores. As an event coordinator you should be present for the event or at the very least introduce your replacement. They got their money and didn't care what happened after that. My guests shouldn't have been running around handling the problems all night they should've but they either didn't care or weren't around to notice. I spend a huge amount of money on a venue that would've been better spent elsewhere. Unless you have your own personal event coordinator like I did DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

The ceremony on the deck was so beautiful and the reception was amazing and the shorline room was so amazing as it got darker it was so romantic and beautiful.
