A Seamless Experience    posted 5/4/2011

I visited Van Cleve as the first of two bridal boutiques in one day of shopping and ended up with the first dress I tried on at Van Cleve. The staff was extremely understanding, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about my dress and day. They were professionals from beginning to end and I truly enjoyed each and every one of my appoinments. I also have to mention the incredible alterations that were performed on my almost-entirely lace dress - they were impeccable and I will be forever impressed by what a great job was done to make me comfortable in the gown all day (and night) long at my wedding. I highly recommend Van Cleve and will definitely return for future special events of my own!

Go Here to get your Wedding Dress!    posted 11/6/2012

I bought my dress at a sample sale here, along with a belt and I had it altered here as well. Everyone who worked here was so sweet and helpful. They have a TON of dresses in every price range. I can't express how pleased I am with the service here, I would recommend this place to every bride!!!

Last minute dress    posted 10/19/2012

I ended up going with a dress I tried on at Van Cleve even though I'd already bought one. The women who helped me had a great eye for what was going to look the best on me. I never even would have picked up the dress I bought off the rack but on it was perfect. Twee who did my alterations did a great job since my dress was off the rack it had to be altered by 4 sizes, no easy task. It fit beautifully when she was done with it. The environment is comfortable and friendly, not like some of the bridal shops that feel a bit snooty. I'd def recommend Van Cleve to any bride to be.

It was a Joyful experience then...    posted 9/22/2012 (modified 7/14/2013)

I decided to use Van Cleve after I discovered that the dress I fell in love with online was available there. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Joy who said she'd be taking care of me for the day. She reviewed my printouts and notes and then quickly picked out half a dozen gowns while my sister and best friend each grabbed a favorite. Joy immediately made me feel comfortable after I told her I was nervous. And she told me it was going to be fun and her nurturing manner really put me at ease. Even as I took my time, tried on different gowns, veils, changed jewelry and her next appointments rolled in she stayed with me and took her time. I ended up going home that day with my wedding dress and veil and it just so happened to be a dress that Joy had picked for me. I love it and loved working with her. This was the good part. Now for the ugly. I also purchased my bridesmaid dresses from this this location as well as my mother having purchased her mother-of-the-bride gown. The experience working with Van Cleve as time went on got worse. I live out of state from the salon b/c my husband and I moved a little after we got engaged. Calling the store and expecting to get any service was a joke. The women were always rushing me off the phone, not offering details of when things would arrive and if I had questions regarding swatches or other details they were always very short with me and rude. I really started to get frustrated. Not only had I myself and my entire wedding party (8 girls total, plus my mom)spent a lot of money in their store but I did not live close by and I could not stand that they couldn't be more understanding. As time went on, I had a conversation with the manager because I was so frustrated and she apologized ...blah, blah, blah. My point just fix it. Things started to get a little better but I think what put the big hammer on all of this was that they gave me my wedding dress in what appeared to be a pink trash bag. Not a garment bag but the cleaners type of sleeve, bag. Let me tell you, that my wedding dress was half hanging out of the bag and when we carried it into my hotel room the night before my wedding we had to have two people carry it so it wouldn't drag all over the floor like a piece of trash. Nice job, Van Cleve. I would not recommend this vendor. There are so many other places you could find a beautiful dress and be treated with more respect and better service. The only thing saving this place is that Joy was awesome to work with thanks to her I ended up with the dress of my dreams.

Wedding gown    posted 7/19/2012

I went to the Wedding Pavilion at the suggestion of a friend. I am really happy I did. My Mom and I had a wonderful day shopping. It was the only shop I visited and choose my gown that day. The entire process was great. Plus, we met the designer of my gown, Matthew Christopher. That made it extra special!

GREAT PLACE AND GREAT STAFF!    posted 7/15/2012

This place took care of me from start to finish! They ordered a sample dress for me to try on that I had found in a magazine. They did not charge me the fee that they said they would originally charge and they held the dress until I could make the hour drive to the shop to try it on. I ordered the dress and found my jewelry, hair clips and veil at their location also. They suggested a change in my appointment to check out accessories to the weekend of a trunk sale when much more was available to look at. They were always very flexible. The amazing seamstresses made my dress perfect and were not satisfied until I was. The entire staff was amazing-always kind and always smiling and helpful. I highly recommend this place! :)

Love this Boutique!    posted 11/1/2011

This was the first shop I went to after becoming engaged and ended up being the place where I ordered my dress from, despite them not having "the" dress in the shop.
The customer service and attention is unsurpassed and that is why we (my mother and I) decided to order the dress through them that I had found in another state that carries the same line.
On top of that, the repeat fittings with Kim (their lead seamstress/dressmaker) were an absolute pleasure and actually fun...in the middle of all the wedding planning stress and strung out nerves, these women make you feel relaxed and calm and let you know that it will all turn out wonderful. And it did! Thank you Kim for making my Manuel Mota for Pronovias lace gown be more gorgeous than I could have dreamed of!!!

Delightful!    posted 3/25/2011

I am so glad I found the Van Cleve Wedding Pavilion! My mom and I actually decided to go there first just to get an idea of the types of dresses I might like. And of course, I fell in love with the second dress I tried on. Abby is wonderful to work with. She listens to what you like and helps guide you through the sea of white gowns. I never felt pressured and always felt like the focus was on me. It was a great feeling.
Although I found my dream dress after 10 minutes of being at Van Cleve, I decided to visit another boutique with my bridesmaids the following weekend. Thankfully, I had also made a follow up appointment at Van Cleve because the other store we went to treated me horribly, did not listen to my needs and was ultimately disappointing. My bridesmaids and I returned to Van Cleve and, after trying on my dream dress yet again, we all decided that I had to purchase that dress. Champagne was popped and we were all happy. In fact, we had arrived to my appointment at Van Cleve early so my bridesmaids had a chance to go peruse dresses for themselves! Again, Abby made us feel welcome to look at dresses, ask questions, chat with each other and have a good time. I never imagined that shopping for a wedding gown could be so easy and relaxing. I can't wait for my dress to come in so I can try it on and continue the fun!
