I went into Wendy's knowing what I was looking for. I got paired with a consultant who was super friendly and paid attention to what I was looking for. They didn't have the exact dress I wanted to try on but she pulled one for me that was very similar. It was the second dress I tried on and it was the one! She was so helpful and even as I tried on two more just to make sure she was so patient and very kind. I liked her a lot and she was not in any way pushy or trying to get me to buy everything there.
My dress arrived sooner than expected which was great because I needed it in a hurry. The only thing that made me unhappy was my second consultant who helped me when my dress came in. So pushy when it came to getting my alterations done there, I had told her multiple times I have a family member who is a Master Seamstress who would do them for me. She continued to tell me how cheap their alterations were compared to someone else doing them even though I had told her that mine would be free. Funny thing is I didn't need any alterations to my dress! It fit perfect. She continued to push for me to buy my undergarments there, I understand trying once but once I've said no please leave it alone. Not only that but she left me during my appointment several times to help somebody else. As I struggled to snap pictures of the dress she never once offered to help, another bride had to do it for me! She was the only bad part of my experience.
Still a lovely place and everything turned out perfect.

Horrible Experience posted 10/14/2014 (modified 10/26/2014)

I was very hesitant to visit Wendy's Bridal based on the reviews I read. However, there was a Designer Trunk Show I really liked it going on. So I went with both Moms, my sister in law, a friend, and Matron of Honor. They are all vocal women. When we arrived, we were greeted and I started looking for dresses to try on. Our consultant, Lila, was finishing up with another Bride. Now, trying on dresses and find the dress wasn't hard. Lila was a little strong and I didn't care for her comment on my shoes. I had purchased my shoes already. She suggested you wait until you find the dress since that changes the length of the dress etc. I'm 4'10.75. If anything, the heels helped with choosing a dress. Anyway, we found the dress and a belt and skirt. Now, she measured me in the dressing room with my clothes on and based on the chart she showed me and what she told me, I would need a size 6 and it may be a little snug in the waist. I was ok with that. Little did I know then that the nightmare would be begin with that. I picked up my dress 6 months later and it did not fit or zip in the waist/ hip area. The girl who got my dress for me looked at the chart and said I should've been ordered an 8 or 10. Well, it wasn't the same chart Lila showed me. I wasn't stressed until I got my dress. My Sister in Law didn't like the situation later when she saw me in the dress. So she called up the store for me while I was at work and we brought the dress in. Lila remeasured me. Said I had gotten bigger. Even worse, when my Sister in Law asked about the measurements being taken (she measured me earlier that day), Lila responded that she takes the same measurements in the same way consistently. She remeasured me with my clothes on again. Then, we had the seamstress come in to look at the dress and see if it can be taken out. She said yes. So we decided to get alterations done with them. However, they handled the situation horribly and Lila kept saying there's nothing we can do if she keeps getting bigger. When I met with the seamstress later, she was nice. She let out the dress some and did the hem and bustle. I asked a few times at each time I met with her (3x) if there was something else to be done. There was not. I finally took the dress home and it zipped at the alterations. When I retried it later with my Matron of honor 4 weeks before wedding, there was back cleavage and it was straining. My seamstress Elena didn't say a word about the buttons pulling or anything. I could only see so much during alterations. I was saddened because I would need another dress. I took it to my seamstress and the best we could do was move the zipper and then the belt hid the zipper that showed. I was very disappointed. My seamstress said I didn't need the skirt (which just made the dress tighter). I did not try going back to Wendy's because I did not want to be fat shamed again. They made a mistake and did not own to it. They are the experts. But a little tight in waist is not the same as not being able to zip up. I was very disappointed and should have gone to another Bridal Salon.

I had the most enjoyable and special time choosing my wedding gown at Wendy's Bridal. My consultant was interested in my wants, sweet, mindful to budget, and so helpful! I had a blast :) Alterations were timely and my dress fit like a glove! Thank you Wendy's Bridal!
