Yellow Paddle is by far the best photography, especially for the price. The photographers were professional and took command of the sequence of pictures, listened to our requests, were patient and had great ideas of their own. We had Alex and Kari, and they were both fantastic. We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos.
I first met Yellow Paddle at a Bridal Show and I was impressed right off the bat. They are SUPER affordable and I love that they give up and coming photographers the chance to get their feet wet in the hard to get into Colorado market. We were told right up front what the cost would be as well as what to expect from the time line to the whole photography process. We got to pick our own photographer from their wide selection and Meredith was AMAZING. She didn't need hardly any direction and was a hit at the event. I can't wait to receive my pictures since I know they will all be amazing. I would use Yellow Paddle for any occasion.
This company uses young/amateur professionals. They are wonderful! The prices were so great and they customized a great package that got me what I wanted at my price point. Also, if you've done any research on photographers in the Denver area, you'll know how crazy expensive they are. I was on a budget, but did not want to compromise the quality of my photos. They have many different photographers to choose from and I picked Javid - who was awesome. He was so nice, got along well with my friends, myself and the guests and took some great photos. He was able to disappear into the background when needed and was there for the candid moments. He also traveled the one hour distance to my wedding location. What a value!
We cannot recommend this company enough!
We were on a tight budget for our wedding, which made finding a photographer a difficult task. With Yellow Paddle, we not only got some of the most gorgeous wedding photos I could have asked for, but at an incredibly affordable price! I still can't believe how little we paid for pictures so beautiful and important to us.
We love the set up of Yellow Paddle, specifically in how they connect new and amateur photographers with customers, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Everyone we worked with was professional and prompt, and they made sure to check in several times during the planning process. We initially had Katie as our photographer, but she got sick the morning of our wedding. Instead of this becoming a wedding disaster, Yellow Paddle sent over Jeff in her place. Jeff was an outstanding photographer... he was flexible and polite, made us feel comfortable (especially important since both of us are NOT good with photos!), and somehow captured EVERY significant moment throughout our day while being discreet. Our favorite part was our sunset photos, when Jeff quickly stole us away from the reception for a few minutes for some gorgeous shots outside. They turned out absolutely lovely.
We can't stop looking at our photos and reliving our special day, and we can't thank Jeff enough for so beautiful capturing the most important day of our lives. We are so happy that Jeff was our wedding photographer, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for perfect wedding pictures!!!
I loved working with Yellow Paddle. We got to choose which photographer we wanted to use and what kind of pictures we wanted for our big day. And everything was perfect. They are great to work with and are very helpful. Katelyn Lumpkins did our wedding and she was amazing photographer and a sweet person.
We feel so fortunate to have found Yellow Paddle Photography. Their prices were amazing for the services offered and their customer service was wonderful and didn't make you feel like "just another customer". They really took the time to get to know you and what you were looking for. Having multiple photographers' portfolios on-line made it really easy to choose exactly what type of photography we wanted for our wedding and which photographer could supply it.
I would definitely recommend Yellow Paddle to any one looking to have professional photos done, and we would highly recommend Fernanda as her talent and skill showed through with her working with our bridal party and wedding guests and in the photos that we have seen so far. She also took our engagement photos which were also amazing.
Great way to connect budget-conscious brides like myself to up-and-coming photographers. I had great results, and I'd recommend this to anyone.
Since we were having a small daytime wedding, we didn't need all the bells and whistles for photography. We just needed a few solid hours to get some great pictures and that's what we got. Working with Yellow Paddle was simple, and their prices were quite affordable since we were paying for the wedding ourselves. The photographer was great in accommodating our venue location and bringing all the necessary lighting. I love that they let you keep all the pictures and print them out yourself!
We were really happy with the outcome of the pictures. The photographers did a great job and we will have great pictures forever, which is the most important thing about a wedding photographer right!?!
Some little complaints were that the company was a little hard to work with and communication wasn't always the best. We had one of our original photographers bail on us, which was fine because they were able to give us a replacement.
One thing is I wish I could have met with our photographer at the venue to walk around and show places we'd like to take photos together, but she didn't give us that option. I later read that I would have to set that up, so I should have read a little closer earlier...
We had Ashton as our photographer and he was perfect. We love our pictures and didn't have to spend a lot of money. He caught all the moments that we wanted and was very attentive to our requests. This is a great company and I would recommend them to any bride!
When my husband and I received our online preview of our pictures, there were no pictures of my father/daughter dance. I thought this was a glitch in the system or they didn't get loaded properly so I emailed the office to ask why they weren't in the preview. The office said they would contact my two photographers and find out why they were missing.
I truly thought this was an honest mistake and I would eventually get to see my pictures. Not at all the case. After a week of waiting to hear from the office, I finally emailed them again. That's when they told me there were in fact ZERO pictures of my father/daughter dance. Apparently, both of my photographers stepped out of the reception during the dance and they completely missed it. Needless to say, I was devastated that I had no pictures of this precious moment during my wedding.
I was extremely unhappy and disappointed in the all around service we experienced with Yellow Paddle and this was the last straw. I would not recommend Yellow Paddle at all for a number of reasons:
1) The total lack of communication or sense of promptness is astounding. It usually takes days if not weeks to get an email reply, if you get one at all. I was constantly fighting for their attention, which is something you as a paying customer (especially a BRIDE) should not have to do.
2) I felt like we were treated like a number and not a real couple. Yellow Paddle seemed to only care that they were making money off of us. There was barely any personal attention to us and our wedding plans. I've never experienced a more unprofessional attitude.
3) It seemed to me that Yellow Paddle was very dishonest and tried to cover up their mistakes, both on the photographers' and office's part. It took persistent badgering for them to own up to their mistake. And when they did get caught in their error, they tried to blame it on my wedding planner and make excuses for themselves. If the photographers had simply told me right away they missed the dance, we could have at least posed for a few shots while we were still at the reception.
There are two reasons why Yellow Paddle gets 3 stars from me instead of zero:
1) Our pictures that we did receive turned out beautifully
2) Yellow Paddle compensated us $200 in print credits for the missing pictures
Overall, I wish I had hired a different photographer. Yes, they are an attractive option for the bride on a budget. However, I would seriously caution any brides who are considering Yellow Paddle. Don't trust your weddings pictures and memories to someone who may or may not deliver a good job. If you want excellent customer service and guaranteed results, don't choose Yellow Paddle. Our whole experience with Yellow Paddle has tarnished my wedding memories.
We were thrilled to find a company that offered professional quality photos and the rights to all the photos for such a value.
Our photographer was Regan. We had met with her 6 months prior to our wedding to have our engagement pictures taken. They turned out amazing and she made us feel so comfortable. At the wedding, she was efficient in the formals and we are eager to see her work.
Regan was AWESOME!!! I'm a little confused still about our access to the photos and downloading, but the service is excellent and a great value!
Yellow Paddle offers a great services at great prices! I was able to get so much (2 photographer for 8 hours, a photo-booth, 3 albums, and full discs) for the same price or less of what other photographers cost for just the basics. The photo turned out beautiful and looking through them bough a huge smile to my face. My two photographer Ashton and Regan both were wonderful people who came ready to celebrate with us. Regan even helped keep me positive through an impending rainstorm threatening to move our ceremony inside. She was a photographer and supportive friend! I am so thrilled and would absolutely recommend YPP for any bride!
Teresa G with Yellow Paddle did an excellent job at our wedding. She was easy going, super friendly, and took charge. It was raining and she still was able to get good shots and keep the pictures moving. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
We worked with Reagan who was up best and a pleasure to work with. She made sure we captured all the pictures we wanted. We wouldn't hand changed a thing. Thank you so much
Yellow paddle was a great way to save some money with photagraphy and help an up and coming artist improve their portfolio. The only complaint is that our guest list was only about 60 people and when I got the pictures I expected to have at least a photo of every guest. Even if it was group photos. One side of my husbands family wasnt in a single photo that the photographer selected. Their were way more photos taken but we only get 400 photos that the photographer selects. I would have liked to preview the photos as proofs and then been able to choose what photos I would have wanted, then maybe we would have more of family.
If you are on a budget this is a great company to use. They hire newer photographers but still produce wonderful photos.
Our photographer was very aid back as were my husband and I and she was great about listening to the kid of photos we wanted. I would have liked her to take a little more initiative in directing us in what she wanted us to do.
Through the ceremony and reception, it we knew our photographers were there but not so there that it messed up the experience for us and our guests.
Working with them was very easy and only a call or email away for any questions I had.
If I were just rating the photographers, I would give 5 stars. The company itself, is 4 stars. Overall, my experience with booking was good. Except for the travel costs disclosure. It's really my own fault for not getting it in writing. In the contract they list $1/mile, however, when I met with the representative from the company, she literally told me "disregard that, it costs at most, $100 for both photographers." Well, that was a big deal for me since my wedding was 130 miles away. I literally made my decision on photography based on that conversation. When they didn't include any travel fees in my signed contract, they reached out telling me it would now be $300. When I told the owner of this conversation and what I was told, she definitely tried to work with me on the cost, but at the cost of losing precious photography time at the wedding. Because I didn't want to sacrifice photography time, I paid the $300. Needless to say, I wasn't thrilled. However, again, the photographers are AWESOME! We just got our album, only 3 weeks after the wedding, and the pictures are beautiful!!! Ashton and Regan are the best! They were super fun and fit right in to our crazy family and friends! I loved how well they worked together, even though they were two different freelance photographers. Very courteous, professional and just awesome! Use this company, for the price, you really get an amazing value. We got our engagement session and photos, 2 photographers for 8 hours a piece, the rights to all of our photos and a 100 page photo book for $2100 (which of course includes the additional $300 in travel fees). You can't beat that value in Denver!
Yellow Paddle Photography is the BEST. We selected them for a few key reasons. We wanted beautiful, artistic pictures of our special day. We didn't have excess money in our budget to spend in this category (and were surprised by friends who suggested "affordable" photographers that cost thousands.) And, we wanted to support up-and-coming photographers (we're suckers for supporting homegrown talent.)
We had two different photographers for our engagement shoot and wedding photos. Both were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed working with YPP and loved the results. Our pictures are fun, fresh and fabulous.
