A. Opting for a live band will instantly liven your reception. But before you set out to hire one, keep in mind the type of crowd you're inviting. Will your guests want to rock out all night? Are they more of the country line–dancing types? Your search will be significantly easier if you can whittle down your choices by narrowing the genre. If you know your guests have a wide range of musical tastes, your best bet is to book a cover band.
