Hey Kids!Welcome to my new bio...
My other one was getting freaking huge so I decided to start over and take out a bunch of stuff. So, here it is... new and improved in all it's awesomeness - fancy wedding colors for text and background, fresh new gut busting dialog, never before seen pictures...
Dude... you hit the mother load.

First things first...
All the professional pictures were taken by a legend in the making, Chris Bickford. If you feel the need to copy one of his pictures, I've already beat you to the punch (mmmm! great punch!) and seen to it that he gets the credit he deserves. If you're digging any of my other pictures or ideas, be a pal and hook a fellow knottie up with some much deserved credit. I'd do it for you... :)

~Pete's Turn~

Let the games begin...

This is the face one makes when every tiki torch you pass threatens to light your veil on fire.

This is the face one makes when you realize this is for really real...

Yeah man, that's my brother I'm making out with in front of everyone...! We had a stutter, bob, weave thing going on and we ended up smacking right on the lips. That's so hawt.

"No, I swear, Pete... I really do want to marry you even though I just lip kissed my brother
in front of everyone. Carry on."

"Seriously! I swear!! Let's do this thang!"

"Did you just see that? Will you even agree to marry us after seeing that?"

"Ok... ok... it was weird! I feel we're past that now. Can we move on?"

"Ok, as long as we agree that it was very weird though. Try to restrict it to the holidays..."

Cue the crazy wind storm
So, after all is said and done, the only thing you can't control is the weather...

Yep, that's us breaking down the reception 30 minutes into the reception....
It was pretty while it lasted!

At first I was a little flustered by the wind crashing my wedding...

But Hubband made it better...

And the drink must go on!

Photo Guest Book
7miles gave me the idea after seeing how popular it was at her wedding. We had 2 set ups, 7 let me borrow her Polaroid camera, the backdrop, and the prop idea... the mermaid cutout just happened to be at the house.

*Editor's Note:
The following pictures contain graphic images of people getting their hot funk on. These pictures were taken after all the grown ups had left and we were left with our core group of friends... and they definitely know how to party. If you are sensitive to wild and unruly behavior, I suggest you click that little 'X' up in the top hand corner of your screen... Otherwise, in the words of the great David Bowie.... "Let's Dance!"

And all the DIY Knotties go,
"Ooooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh oooooh ooh ooh...."
Ok ladies.... here's what I took on.
Save the Dates
My brother is an incredible artist and he drew a bunch of caricatures of Pete and I...
I scanned the pictures into my computer and imported them into Print Shop. I played around with the picture, added the text I wanted, and *presto*! An awesome save the date!

Invites
I was going to have someone else make my invites for me, but I became a font whore and couldn't give up the creativity control. It's been a very long process but I'm definitely happy with the end results. I ended up with a 7X7 pocketfold invitation. I purchased the handmade paper for the pocketfold from here and I used 100# cardstock from XPEDEX for the invite and inserts. The invitations are printed on white cardstock - to get the look of the white ink I changed my font color to white and made the background color navy. Basically, the printer is printing off a big blue box and 'skipping over' the text. If you like the look of the white text and a color background just keep in mind how much toner you'll go through. I have an Epson printer, there are 4 individual toner cartridges that can be removed seperately if one of the colors is low.
That helped - but I was amazed at how many cartridges I had to go through.

The invites had 5 inserts - well 10 actually... they're double sided! Yeah - I'm crazy like that.
They are: Navigational Chart / Maps, Captain's Quarters / Driving on the Beach, Ship's Log / Hidden Treasures, Message in a Bottle / Contact Info, and my RSVP is two sides as well.

Out of Town Boxes

Final step - tying on the welcome letters with raffia... hey 7miles!

Programs/Favors
I think I'll forever be known as the girl that made the CD programs in knottieland. Thanks to knottie Evans, I've finally figured out how to link these in my bio. To download the templates, go to www.tinyurl.com/fly7g . BTW, the pictures in the programs were our engagement pics taken by Chris Bickford... gotta give credit where credit is due... he rocks!

Flowers
We're gluttons for punishment so we decided to DIY our flowers, too. Thank the heavenly burritos that I had as many brideslaves as I did... it was definitely all hands on deck.

Centerpieces
I bought a mold off of Ebay and my mom cast 20 of these sandcastles for the centerpieces. She then glued a mixture of sand and glitter all over them to make it look like real sandcastles. She's crafty!! Then, I bought those glass privacy blocks people use in their bathrooms (instead of windows) and I used them to add height. Then, I hot glued real starfish all along navy ribbon that I wrapped around the center of all my glassware - because I'm psychotic.
