I was sooo calm and lost it when I saw my husband at the altar. I am so blessed and so HAPPY!!!!! I can’t believe we are finally husband and wife!!!! It felt like one BIG DREAM. Ladies, take it all in, because we did. We enjoyed every single minute of our wedding, we ate, we danced, we spoke to every one of our guests and it was all due to great planning and hiring the right people to ensure we had no worries!!!! A few things did manage to go wrong as expected but we didn’t know about it till the very end and guests had no idea as well. I had so much fun and I am so fortunate to say that we did everything we wanted to do on that day!!!!! We are still glowing and on that high!!!!!! Our day was simply AMAZING~ PROFESSIONAL PICS BY MILTON GIL - 6-10-06 WEDDING THANK YOU CARDS by MILTON GIL- NON-PRO HINDU WEDDING PICS – 5-28-06 I actually had two weddings! My father is from Guyana and is Hindu. We had a Hindu wedding ceremony on Memorial Day weekend. What's even more special is that it was a double wedding ceremony with my brother and his fiancé (prettylady1214 aka Lisa) they looked amazing!!! I'm waiting for more pics to post. It was such a beautiful ceremony and my family was so happy, I just wish my grandmother was still alive to have seen it all and know we were honoring her. Her presence was definitely felt though. THE REHEARSAL DINNER - 6-08-06 Our rehearsal dinner was at Don Pepe Restaurant in Newark, NJ. We had a blast! We had a large group and everything was perfect. I surprised my husband with a pair of monogrammed Tiffany cufflinks and a groom’s cake in the form of Shea Stadium. He’s a HUGE MET’S fan and the cake was fantastic. The cake was made by Jackie’s Cake Boutique in Staten Island and she was a pleasure to work with. Here a few pics taken in St. Lucia - Full Reviews coming soon!!! Sandals Grande was beyond what I ever imagined- you can't go wrong there....it's romance central~ We really enjoyed ST. Lucia so much and would go back in a heart beat. ENGAGEMENT PICS by Milton Gil in Central Park, NYC - 07/21/05 Surprise Bridal Shower Pics -4-30-06 Every table had a different centerpiece and table named after the places I've traveled to~ WEDDING DETAILS WEDDING INVITATION TABLE NUMBERS, PROGRAMS, PLACE CARDS, POEMS & LABLES DESIGNED & CREATED BY ALEX AKA KNOTTIE MONITOSGIRL~(SHE IS FANTASTIC- Thank you Alex!!) VENDOR REVIEWS TINA FROM OH SO FAB- Day of Coordinator: AMAZING!! AMAZING, AMAZING!!! I LOVE HER!!! I don’t know even know where to start with her??? She made sure EVERYTHING was exactly how I wanted them to be. All the details, the candles, the arrangements, guest book, memory table, décor, and worked with all the vendors on the day of. The Newark Club LOVED her. My husband loved her and so did my family!!! If you are looking for a wedding planner, or day of coordinator, the best decision is to book Tina!!!!! We mainly hired her to oversee that everything was running smoothly and we also had a lot of vendors that we were dealing with on the day of. Tina was there for every single little thing that could have been a potential problem, if it was a problem, she fixed it and took care of everything. I love her!!!!! Booking her was the best decision we ever did. The candy buffet was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!! People are still talking about it!!!!! It was beautiful and looked like something out of Martha Stewart; Tina has amazing talent and just “gets” it. I followed my gut to use her and she was the only person I ever interviewed and I was sold within the first 5 minutes of meeting with her. If you want the best of the best, this is your girl!!! Some guest even recognized her from TV. Tina was worth every single penny and MORE!!! Love her to pieces, not only is she the best at what she does, but she is a great person, funny and oh so classy!!! She rocked!!!!! I changed into a second dress for the last hour of the night and Tina took me to the bridal suite, literally helped me out of my dress and her and her assistant dressed me, touched my hair and make up and got me out in 5 minutes!!!!! I loved them!!! If you want peace of mind you need to book oh so fab! Everyone on her staff were fantastic and just a pleasure to work with. Oh So Fab made my wedding everything I wanted it to be! Tina LaMorte, (our Oh So Fab Planner) me, and the beautiful A&J-7.06 CATHEDRAL SACRED HEART BASILICA, Newark NJ: BEAUTIFUL!!!!!Mary Clare, Deacon Guy and Deacon Tom were great to work with! They were extremely helpful with anything we needed. The rehearsal was a breeze considering a bridal party that consisted of 22 people! The Church was amazing the day of! If you are getting married there, you don’t need to decorate this Church at all, it is beautiful all on it’s own~ It was breathtaking!!! THE NEWARK CLUB, Newark, NJ: AMAZING!!!!!! Oh my God where do I start??? AMAZING!!! AMAZING!!! AMAZING!!! I know everyone says this but honestly people have not stopped talking about this place and said this was by far the best wedding they have ever been to. I want to cry just thinking about how wonderful these people at The Newark Club made me feel during planning and on the day of!!!! TOP NOTCH SERVICE-FOOD AMAZING –PLACE AMAZING!!! Artie and Harry were a dream to work with, if you have your reception there, they will make your day perfect. Do not walk to this place but RUN!!!! They had full-blown meals for us every single time we met with them even if it was something that I just needed to drop off. THIS IS HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS- you treat your clients like top priority and that is what they did each time with us. They treated us like celebrities, not only were they extremely professional but we developed an amazing relationship!! I miss them already down the Ester was my bridal assistant from The Club. She always made sure we were always taken cared of and never “in our face”. My family & guests were treated like movie stars there!!! The bridal Suite was enormous to fit all 21 people with sooo much room to spare and fully stocked with all the food from cocktail hour for all of us. Most of the people who have never been there were just floored and could not believe Newark had this place!!! It was classy, elegant and just top notch. The valet parking was excellent; they were professional and got the guests cars very quickly. A lot of people who stayed at the hotel also used the hotel shuttle that The Newark Club works with all the time. The views of the New York Skyline were breathtaking-everywhere you looked was candlelit. They meticulously went over every single detail and made sure everything I wanted down to the silly details came true!! I love them and this place soo much, I’m so sad that it's over and wish I could plan another event there just to work with them again. The cocktail hour was out of this world!! I have not one bad thing to say about this place, they delivered on every single thing that they promised me!!!! There were even fire works displayed that people thought TNC had set up, but it was from the Portuguese festival going on, this happened around 10:45-11:15, people actual thought we had planned the fire works!!! It was AMAZING!!!! THE VIEWS, THE SERVICE, THE FOOD, THE ATTENTION, AMAZING!!! I love them!!!! CARIBBEAN RHYTHMS-STEEL DRUM BAND: We hired them for cocktail hour and they were great!!! Exactly what we wanted!!!! It was such a great feel and just prepared guests to what they were about to experience at the reception. Joe was a pleasure to work with, and very professional. They were excellent!!!! ELEGANCIA ENTERTAINMENT:DJ/MAMBO BAND/LIGHTING/PHOTO MONTAGE: OMG!!!!OMG!!!! AMAZING!!!! AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!!!They made my wedding. We have adopted Jose as a horary family member. He has been incredible to us during the whole planning time and he and his team just BLEW ME AWAY!!!! They were classy, elegant and omg!!! They had the dance floor packed ALL night!!!! The music was incredible!!!!!! I LOOOOOOOVED THEM SO MUCH!!!!! The lighting was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted!!! THE MONTAGE!!!! Oh my god!!!!!!! It looked like a professional movie!!!! They were creative, not cheesy at all, and kept it sooooo professional; I wish I could play it for you all to see exactly what I’m talking about. We also filmed secret messages to each other that were played right before our first dance, I was a hot mess when I saw it!!! I was trying so hard to keep it together when I saw my husband message to me, but my tears were flowing like crazy!!!!. Elegancia made my wedding the best ever!!!!! I miss them already!!! People were soooo impressed, The mambo band was HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!!!!! It was a showstopper!!!!!!! They made such a huge impact!!!!!!! Don’t walk but RUN RUN RUN TO BOOK THEM before your date is booked up, I promise you that you will not be disappointed with them, they were so creative and a just a pleasure, I LOVE THEM!!!!! CIGAR ROLLERS- LA CASA GRANDE, NY: Bonnie was an extreme pleasure to work with!!! They were professional and people LOVED LOVED them!!!!! They were excellent!!!! In addition to the cigar roller table TNC had waiters walking around with cigars being served along with glassed of brandy. It was AMAZING!!!! LOVE THEM~ CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN- SIMPLY CHIC: Melinda was a pleasure to work with!!! It was a BIG HIT!!!!!! WONDERFUL!!!!! Maritza and her assistant were the ones at my wedding, and they were FANTASTIC!!! Loved them~ INDIAN DANCERS-SARGAM ENTERTAINMENT: AMAZING!!!!! Shashi is the owner and we LOVE HER!!! We knew we wanted a Bali Style dance performance to incorporate my father’s culture, this was a surprise for everyone and people were BLOWN AWAY!!!! We felt like royalty!!!!!! They had two performances that were awesome!!!!!!! My family was sooooooo HAPPY and everyone in the crowd went wild!!!!!!! LOVE THEM!!!! WEDDING STATIONERY: KNOTTIE MONITOSGIRL AKA ALEX: PROGRAMS/MENUS/PLACE CARDS/POEMS/TABLE NUMBERS/CANDY BUFFET LABELS FOR THE BAGS/ CANDY LABELS FOR THE BOWLS & OUT OF TOWN BAG LABELS: AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!! I met Alex on The Knot and she made all my wedding details come true!!!! This girl is talented beyond measures, she is creative, elegant, classy, and more importantly just an amazing person. I love her to pieces and my wedding would have not been complete with out her work!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!You need to watch out for her because Alex is going to be HUGE soon!!!! There are no words to describe how FABULOUS every single thing that she did was!!! Everyone was soooo impressed!!!! The programs were a MASTERPEICE!!!!!!!! Everything was soooooo beautiful!!!!! I cried when I saw what she did for me!!!! I not only had gorgeous details but I gained a wonderful new friend who has been there for me like no other, Girls you are lucky to have Alex on this board, she is a gift. Alex, THANK YOU & I love you!!!!! (Pinchos!!!! Lol..) PHOTOGRAPHY- MILTON GIL AND NEIL: AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!!! HE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE TO HAVE EVER WORKED WITH!!!! This man is talented beyond his years, OMG!!!!!! Ladies, if you have booked Milton, you will have amazing pictures, Milton showed us some of the pics at the wedding on his laptop and we were BLOWN AWAY!!!!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE PICS!! I warned Milton I had a huge bridal party that was ROWDY & party animals!!!! LOL.. He dealt with them soooo incredible!!!!! Everyone was sooooooo impressed with how professional they both were!!!! Milton is worth every single penny and is a true professional!!!!! Not only was he a vendor, but also we consider Milton a friend!!! I can’t wait for the pics!!!!!!! LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED THEM BOTH!!!!! Videographer-Mark from Video Magic Studios: AMAZING!!!!!! I can’t wait to see the video!!!!! Mark is the owner and he work with Milton Gil and Tina from Oh so Fab many times before!!!! I had a dream team!!!!!! I can’t wait!!!!! LIMOS- SANTOS LIMOUSINE: WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!!!! They were on time, professional and they put up with my extremely rowdy 16 person bridal party!!!!!! They let us go two days before the wedding to bring two huge coolers to be put in the girls and guys limos, we fully stocked it with our bridal party’s favorite alcohol!!!!! We told them after the Church and the bridal party was having a blast!!!!!!! Santos was EXCELLENT to work with. MAKE UP- EVELYN FROM MAC AT NORDSTROM’S: LOVED LOVED LOVED HER!!!!!! We decided what we were going to the day of because I had kept changing my mind!!! So we winged it that day!!!! SHE WAS AMAZING and my make up stayed on ALL NIGHT LONG!!!! My mom, MOH and BM looked GORGOUS!!!!! I just kept staring at my mom, my mom never looked soooo beautiful!!!!! Evelyn was recommended by my fsil prettylady1214 who was also one of my bm’s and she looked STUNNING!!!! Thank you!!!! I can't wait for August 25th!!!!!Evelyn was AMAZING, She was professional, and sooo calming~ I loved her!!!!! MY BOUQUET- AMAZONAS EXOTIC: Lucia and Doreen were AMAZING! MY BOUQEST WAS STUNNING!!!! I LOVED THEM!!!! This was a gift from my aunt as a back up and it was gorgeous!!!!!!!! MY DRESS & VEIL - PARK AVENUE BRIDAL: Patty and everyone over were great!!! I was freaking out because my veil took 3 months to come in since it was special order but they assured me it was going to here on a certain day and it was. I changed the top of my dress like two weeks before the wedding and made it strapless. I was scared but it turned out beautiful!!! My veil had 3 layers & was custom made, it was gorgeous! TIARA COMB/PURSE/SHOES: MANUELA’S BRIDAL, Clark, NJ: AMAZING SERVICE & I loved everything I got from there!!!!! They give the personal attention you want!!!! Tina is the owner there and I loved her and her sister!!! FABULOUS!!! MY JEWELRY- LORD AND TAYLOR: I picked this up 3 days before the wedding! I loved all my jewelry!!!! HAIR- PERSONAL FRIEND & HAIRSTYLIST JENNY: I didn’t know what I was doing with my hair until that morning of! I know I’m nuts!!!! I didn’t want to look tooo done up and wanted to keep the style simple and romantic! After the ceremony and pics at the park; I put my hair down right before cocktail hour. She was there the ENTIRE DAY for me!!! At one point I didn’t even care how my hair looked because I was having way took much fun!!!! I consider Jenny family and I loved her!!!!! She did my MOH, one BM, MIL and my mom!!! These women looked gorgeous!!!!!! HOTEL STAY & BLOCK - HILTON GATEWAY HOTEL: I booked this hotel because of the convenience since they offer free shuttle to and from the TNC. Lucille was a pleasure to work with!!!!! We booked the presidential suite for two days (Friday thru Sunday), the room was ENORMOUS AND BEAUTFUL!!!! The staff was a pleasure and I loved them!!!! It was a great great stay!!!! Lucille even had a bottle of champagne with a card delivered to our room before my reception was over!!! REHEARSAL DINNER REVIEWS: DON PEPE RESTAURANT, Newark, NJ: AMAZING, I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We had a complete private room and the service was incredible and the food was OUTSTANDING!!!!! The attention they gave us was incredible!!!! GROOMS CAKE: JACKIE’S CAKE BOUTIQUE, NY: OMG!!!!! OMG!!!! This was a surprise to my husband since he is a HUGE MET’S fan!!!!! Everyone went crazy when the brought the cake out!!!!!! It was AMAZING!!!! Jackie is wonderful and she was a pleasure to work with!!!! I loved her and will definitely use her again in the future!!!! She was professional and soooo was sweet!!! The cake was a HUGE HUGE HIT!!! Everyone was whipping out the cameras to take pictures of it, my husband wanted to cry when they had to take it to get it cut!!! The cake was delicious and to die for!!!!!! | ||
