About our wedding:

We did it! We*re Married! Here goes the recap-

Thursday

I headed out at 9:30am with my "furbaby" first we dropped my dress off at the drycleaners to be pressed. Then off to drop "her" off to get "her" wedding ''do. Then I went to Meijer to get a pic of us blown up to an 8x10 for our guest signature mat and Hobby Lobby looking for baskets to put the programs in. Then it was time for me to have my pedicure and manicure from 12noon to 2pm. I met the lady helping me with decorations at my house at 3pm. She was dropping off the "spider" ceiling tulle w/white lights so I could run it up to the hall for them to have first thing Friday morning to put up before setting up the tables and chairs. So I dropped that off and came home to work on our Thank you sign for the infamous Thank you pic, as well as, a sign for the road at the park directing guests to our wedding in the park.

Friday

11am I headed to Super WalMart to pick up 15 dozen roses for the centerpieces. $10 a dozen it was a great deal and everyone commented on how I must have a fortune in the roses at the reception. At noon I met my DH and decorating lady at the hall to decorate till 2pm. It was really starting to all come together. Then I went to pay for the sound system and chair rental. DH went to pick up tux. I went to pick up my dress that I dropped off the day before to be pressed. Then I got home around 4:30pm when my MIL called saying she was in town and staying at the hotel connected to the hall. DH went to visit with her and they went over to the hall and put the Hershey kiss spoons at all the place settings on the tables. DH came home and off we went together to the church for rehearsal at 7pm. One of my BM was not able to make it to rehearsal she had called Friday morning and was very sick. Rehearsal was short and sweet. Then Rehearsal dinner was great. We stayed till a little after 11pm for a few drinks and some dancing with my MIL, SIL(BM), BIL, MOH and her husband who was a GM.

Saturday "The Big Day"

DH & I were both up at 6am me getting ready for my girls to arrive at 8am to go to the salon to get our hair and make-up done and DH cleaning our car for the big day. My BM and MOH arrived a little after 8am and we headed out to the salon where we would meet up with my other MOH & BM. Hair was to be started at 8:30am. They started with my BM with me, while MOH ran to McDonalds to get us breakfast. My other MOH & BM arrived and then it was girl after girl getting hair done. My Mary Kay consultant arrived at 10:30am to start make-up on the girls whose hair was already done. This continued on till me I was last and we were supposed to be all done by 1pm, and at the park to start pics at 2pm well we didn*t get to my house to get dressed till almost 2pm. DH called a little after 2pm wanted to know where I was at. I said "On the way". He said "On the way, Where"? So I arrived to start pics a half hour late. So we were a little rushed taking pics till about 4:15pm, while guests were starting to arrive around 4pm. Ceremony was at 4:30pm. I*ve been told we started that about 10 minutes late. It all went pretty well though. There was some confusion with seating and guests were sitting on either side and realizing whoops we*re on the grooms side and we*re supposed to have been on the brides side and vice versa. It was a beautiful day for our outside ceremony! Partly cloudy while we were taking pics before the ceremony, which I understand from the photographer is better for the pics then sunny. But just as it was time for the ceremony the sun beamed brightly down upon us. Our Pastor told us later at the reception that he had added a few extra prayers in the service so he could wipe the sweat from his forehead. DH & I were both very relaxed not nervous. It was a wonderful day that went by way to quickly. I*ll be postings pics soon!

Our attempt to create the Thank you pic for our Thank you cards.
