Bought them on sale at Old Navy for about $1.00 per pair. All the women were wearing them by the end of the night! First dance! Krispy Kreme donut favors - another big hit. The cake! At the end of the evening, our wedding coordinator and her team decorated our suite with rose petals and candles, and left us giant pieces of wedding cake, chocolate covered strawberries, the polaroid photo guestbooks, champagne, and some of the krispy kreme donuts we gave as favors. We acted like little kids. We sat right down - still in our wedding clothes - dug into the cake and donuts and went through the photo guestbook at 2:00 a.m. It was such a great end to the night. My dress as it appeared before I had the giant bow removed. (On a model, obviously) VENDOR REVIEWS Flowers: Designs by David. Highly recommend! David was wonderful and worked miracles on our budget. Plus, everything he did for the ceremony was reused at the reception including the floral arches. One was put over the cake, and one was stripped of all its flowers (they were attached to the arch in bunches), and those flowers were used for our centerpieces. He is a great guy, happy to take any special shots I wanted, and just all-around great to work with. Plus I had my proofs back less than three weeks after my wedding (and he gave me well over 500 proofs). His work speaks for itself. Makeup: Stormi Yates. Highly recommend. Not only does Stormi do beautiful work, but she is just a sweet person. It was relaxing to have her there on my wedding day. She did all the makeup for my bridesmaids, me, my mom, my grandmother, and my husband's mom. They all loved her. (310) 977-1044. Invitations/programs/menu cards: Patricia DuCharme. Highly recommend. Videography: Isabel Gonzalez. Highly recommend. Isabel was fantastic. She was totally unobtrusive at the wedding, and the DVD was outstanding. I ended up ordering several extra copies because the DVD was so good that everyone in my family wanted one. www.isabelgonzalez.com Location/catering/cake: Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel, Pasadena. Highly recommend. The Ritz is not cheap. That being said, the location is so beautiful that I was able to significantly cut back in other areas of my budget (i.e. flowers, decor). Even their standard linens, silverware, and glassware are great. Their service was top-notch, and the food was fabulous. I worked with Christie Joseph in the catering department, who was excellent and treated me and my family wonderfully from the moment we first toured the hotel, to the moment we checked out of the hotel on the day after the wedding. Reception music - the James Gang from West Coast Music. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. They made the party. The dance floor was packed all night - everyone danced, from my grandparents to my college friends. When the band finally stopped playing after midnight, eveyone turned to the band and applauded and cheered. That's how good they were. www.westcoastmusic.com. Day-Of Coordinator: Mary Dann. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Mary has a wonderful reputation, and it is well-deserved. Although she is on the high end, she ended up saving me a fortune on flowers, hotel rooms, decor, etc. When one of my vendors bailed less than two months before the wedding, she helped me find a new vendor within two days.
