I plan on using hot pink (magenta) and lemon yellow gerbera daisies and perhaps a small number of white tulips in my bouquet. The bridesmaids will be wearing dresses in the color of their choice. They picked light pink for the maid of honor and lilac for the bridesmaid and the Jr. bridesmaid. They are all Jim Helm dresses.

The wedding ceremony and reception location has been decided upon. I think I knew it when I felt more excited about being married when I saw the place. None of the other places got me excited until I saw the Miller Crockett House. The location in town is much nicer than driving outside of town to find something.

My cake server set. It is the popular Bombay Amethyst Cake Server Set. I had some to sell but I have now sold out of these. Sorry everyone!

This is the flower girl basket I bought at Wal-Mart for $3.50. Way cheaper than the official flower girl baskets all over. Easter time is a good time to go out and find a good flower girl basket at a decent price.

Toasting glasses I bought for $20 at Dillards. They are part lead crystal (think 24%). Very good deal and quite pretty.

Gifts for bridesmaids are all handmade bracelets made of swarvoski crystals, silver, pearl, and antique glass beads. They are made by a friend of mine, Carolyn Greene. She sells necklaces, bracelets, and more jewelery items. Her website

Bridesmaids are also getting wooden pinwheel flowers for their bouquets that I painted. Bought the unfinished pinwheels at Walmart for about $2 each.

Groomsman gifts are silverplated metal koozies. Hey they drink beer. They need koozies. These will last longer than regular koozies. They can even figure out which one is their's as it has their initials on them. Ordered these from Wedding Accessories website.

Large glass pitcher I decorated on my own in order to have a spot the girls can put their bouquets during the reception. Since the flowers are just 3 gerberas in each bouquet and only 3 bouquets, they should fit. Bought the pitcher at Hobby Lobby for $20 and the decorations were from Michael's.

Our invites I made myself. Decided I liked all of the invites I could find on the web for around $1000 for 100 invites. I ended up making mine for around $150-175. These are personally designed too and not buying someone else's design. Helps to have a graphic talent at times.

Guestbook idea. We are using glassine envelopes and colored paper inserts. I am also going to be using an i-Zone camera to take pictures of each guest to apply to the signed paper that goes in the envelope. So 50 years from now, we will be able to associate a face with the name.

We plan on doing the square coasters the same as this image from knottie: alh1475. We were planning on these but the printer evidently did not want our business and never told us. So I will not be having ANY favors as it is too last minute now. DO NOT USE SORG's PAPER PLACE ie PROMOTION PLACE off the web as they will send you a confirmation message about your ordr then promptly ignore you and never send anything.

Ring Pillow bought pillow at World Market for $12.99. Recycled! Ribbon came off something I received at sometime in the past and was the perfect length. It may not look like it here but the ribbon matches the pillow perfectly. It just shines weirdly with a flash.

Flower ideas. Not really sure what to do yet. I know the bridesmaids will carry the 3 gerbera daisies wrapped in ribbon. My flowers and the 2 arrangements I have no clue. Has to be light though to work with my dress with the colorful embroidery.

Collage of several ideas for flowers

Inspiration picture for the bride's cake. Lemon with curd filling. Light yellow icing (Mexican Vanilla icing). Sugar paste gerbera flowers and fondant bows.

Bride's cake

Groom's cake idea. Change the icing to colored cattails but keep the rest of the overall look. The frogs are so cute. The cake has written on it "We've taken the plunge!" Flavor will be Mexican Vanilla icing over spice cake. BTW you can purchase little frogs like these (minus wedding decorations) from World Market in their bath products area 3 for $2.99. Finally found where I had purchased them for my mom as a gift a few years ago. Mine were borrowed back from her. Wedding decorations on the frogs came from Michael's and super glued onto the frogs.

Groom's cake

The frogs I bought to use on top of the groom's cake. Decorated them as bride and groom myself.

My garter. We will not be throwing the bouquet or the garter but I wanted to wear one anyway. I bought it at Petticoat Fair.

The dress with me in it. I need to find a way not to look so haggard. Must have been a hard day shopping. The dress is my something new. It is also part of my something blue. It has multiple colors in the embroidery.

Dress after alterations. Mornings are bad for me too. :P

My shoes are from the Fitting Stool. I had originally bought shoes at Shoe Styles but they turned out hurting my feet. I had to find another pair. These are by a company called BeautiFeel. I got them on sale since the white shoes were being cleared out due to it being fall. So I ended up spending $99 instead of $150 on them. These I think I can wear after the wedding. They have padding on the bottom and are velcro across the toes and across the ankle. So I can adjust them as I need. They also are super flexible.

BeautiFeel shoes

Six pence for my shoe. Bought online at Wedding Tips.

Necklace that I will be wearing that was passed down from an aunt somewhere up the family tree. It is a one carat diamond set in what I think is silver. This is my something borrowed.

Antique Necklace

Earrings I am wearing. Bought them at Mervyn's for about $30. I think they may have been on sale so they might have been less.

Earrings

The hair styles I am thinking about. I want loose and a little curl in an updo. I also have several flower shaped hair pins to put in my hair like the right side picture.

2 Hair updos

My hair clips I bought at Michael's. $9.99 for 3. I bought 2 sets so I will have 6 clips. They are about the diameter of a quarter.

Registries: Bed Bath and Beyond, Sears, Pier One
Do not recommend Pier One unless you really want the stuff at Pier One. EVERYONE pretty much went to Pier One to buy our gifts. What we needed was at BBB and Sears with Pier One thrown in for those that could not afford as much. Well even the people that could afford and actually spent more, they also bought for Pier One just more of it because it is too much of a shopping magnet for women (whom are usually the buyers for wedding gifts). If you actually need things for the home, I do highly suggest BBB. I actually wanted some Pier One stuff and all of it we like. It is just we actually hoped for more stuff of what we needed and a little of the Pier One stuff. We gave them variety is what we thought. Instead we gave them reason to only shop there. Also we do not recommend Sears. Sears' registry works a little backwards of all other registeries. Instead of saying 1 had been bought, they say 0 needed. So EVERYTHING we received from Sears was the exact same items bought by the first person to go to Sears to buy us stuff. Thus we ended up with 3 mirrors, 3 staple guns, and 3 wire brushes. Everyone got confused and thought there was only 3 items on that registry left. UGH.
