@ the Dallas Margarita Ball last November and this Fourth of July

My family and Justin right soon after our engagement.

Fi and FSIL, FMIL and fi's stepdad, Mike, at her last Birthday.

Our ringbearer, Karson (Fi's cousin) and our flowergirl, Katelyn, Fi's step-neice (little sister).

Matt, Fi's best friend and Best Man.

Scotto, groomsman, getting his 'I just finished chemo and I need to get a tattoo with my friends tat.' Justin and Cory got one as well.

Cory getting his and looking much more composed.

My sister Elaine, maid of honor, and my cousin Lisa, attendant, this past Christmas. Yes, my little sister is a nerd. And my friend Monique, bridesmaid, on her birthday.

My friend Amber, bridesmaid, and my and my friend Kim, attendant.

My aunt and gma who are making mine and my bm's dresses, and my mom and gma over xmas.

My dress is loosely based off of this Marrisa dress and next to it is what the finished product will look like. The same shape of the above dress, but with transparent organza petticoat showing all the way around the bottom (longer in front).

Me, my aunt, and my grandmother working on the patten.

So I went for my second fitting with my Grandma this weekend...boy has she been busy. The actual body of the dress is totally done, and she got the lining/netting in this weekend as well. The lace needs to be tacked on, as well as the pleated organza at the top and bottom and the buttons down the back.

On the left you can see the petticoat underneath, this is where the pleated organza will be. Can I just say YAY!!! I look like I have boobs on the right...just a close up of the lace we're using, it still needs to be split down the middle to create the two rows like the Marisa dress.

Third fitting! I finally have a dress, its turned out really beautiful, and its exactly what I wanted.

You can see the bottom of the dress here, its only pinned on right now, still has to be hand sewn..(oh, and my shoes!)

On the left, only half of the buttons we covered by hand to go down the entire back of the dress.

Ok y'all, I have a dress (and veil)! Its official, my Gma is a genius!

Scans on some of my bridals!

I just bought my shoes!! They're from David's Bridal (the only thing I'm getting from them). I'm going to wear blue ribbons in them (for my something blue) and the BM's will wear ribbons that match their dresses.

My keepsake garter! In ivory with my monogram in sage green, from alfawedding.com

My toss garter! In ivory as well, from exclusivlyweddings.com

Like the flower on the right, not the left

More ideas for my hair.

I now have two sets of hair combs... I'm leaning towards choice number two, we'll see what my hair stylist thinks.

Two sets of earrings to go with two sets of of hair combs... I'm leaning towards the Ann Taylor ones, but I haven't tried either of them with the dress yet.

The bridesmaid's dress my aunt and mom are making for the girls in sage green, and Katelyn's FG dress from www.shopbriarpatch.com. She'll have a pink sash with no flower instead of the purple.

This was first fitting for the BMs! Mt BM Amber was the first to go and guinea pig. This pic is before everything was taken in, but they turned out really nice, I can't wait to see them all finished!

My rehersal dinner dress and shoes from Ann Taylor Loft... my sis gets a discount, and I'm all about discounts!

Ivory on white for Justin and green tie on a black vest for the guys

Justin's ring! (Sorry its blurry!)

I bought five of these ties on clearance from Foley's right before Christmas... I couldn't believe they had five in the perfect color! They're part of the groomsmen's gifts.

This is the bouquet Tarah is recreating for me, white sweetpeas with ivory spray roses. My dad has always called me sweetpea so I thought it appropriate.

I'm going to have blush pink sweetpea and snapdragon bouquets for the girls, but don't have a pic, they'll be about this size and color though, and these will be the bouts the guys will wear (except Justin, he has one to match my bouquet.)

Kissing ball ideas for my FG Katelyn

Cakes I like, I think I'm going to do the lacy features on a tiered design

Cake topper orded from EBAY!

Our ceremony site, Univeristy Christian on the TCU campus, Ft. Worth

We finally found a reception venue! Its called the Plaza at the Wyndham Arlington. I really think its going to a unique and beautiful location. It sits back from the hotel in its own little wooded nook and is totally surrounded by water.

This is the inside of the Plaza...except we won't be using all that tulle! I'm wanting to hang Chinese paper lanterns everywhere. It has windows surrounding the entire room...I'm really excited.

View of the front of the reception location and from the bridge out over the pond area. I'm going to hang ivory material from the front and sides of that blue canopy to soften things up. Also, there will be round paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling inside and out.

Want to hang something like this all along the sides of the bridge leading into the reception room.

Sketch of how I want the cake table set up. They have latice to put behind the cake table, but instead, I want to continue the hanging fabric look from outside inbetween the cake table and windows.

Lumineras would be grogeous on the way up the hill either on the walkway or in the trees.

MY version of Martha's doily lumineras...very easy to do. We're going to use them up the walkway to the reception room.

Lantern looks that I'm going for...saw a neat idea, instead of electrical lights will use glow sticks to light them and lumineras. I do NOT want to have to deal with cords.

Found! The answer to my lantern lighting problem! These little babies are from Walmart, $1.97 for 2, they say they glow for up to 7 hours, but I tested one at home and it was really between 10 and 12 hours! Great find... look for them in the craft section in Walmart.

I wish I could remember which knotties I got these from to give them credit, because these are BRILLIANT! and EXACTLY what I want over the dance floor!

Cake table idea that I love! Would use green and pink ribbon.

The GINORMOUS roles of ribbon I ordered from JKMRibbon.com (Thanks Tarah!)

More centerpiece ideas...I'm a big fan of glass. Centerpieces, candle holders, candy buffet vessels...I want it all in clear glass.

Will be making green table runners like these for all the tables

Guestbook 'fishbowl'...will be making the cards myself.

Pens made for the fishbowl/guestbook... very easy, very cheap, very cute!

Paper for guestbook wishbowl... Paper from Scrapbook Warehouse, cut at Kinkos!

Yes, I'm going to have a candy buffet...in green and some pink.

Glassware I've collected so far, the large vessel in back with the lid is for the cards, everything else is for the candy buffet.

MORE glassware I've collected. Its not all for the candy bufftet, but has kinda become a ::gasp!:: theme for the reception. A lot will be used for decor with candles.

All the glassware for candles at the reception.... theres a lot huh... I kinda like the glass a lot.

Decorated glass for the cards, wishbowl/guestbook and bubble wand holder.

Candy collected so far! I also have rock candy sticks, jelly beans, sour watermelon chews, and red licorice wheels coming!

Table signage

Other signage for the candy buffet etc.

I've bought about 2 dozen wine glasses and about 200 votive holders like these for use in the chuch and the reception site... I got every thing from IKEA for less than $75.

Unity candle I've put together... found the middle one on clearance at Target for $3! I like it because it mirrors the lace theme from my dress.

Labels ordered from myownweddinglabels.com, top one for out of town bags, bottom labels for bags for the candy buffet.

Sorry this pic is blurry, this is about 100 of my candy bags stickered and tied with ribbon and ready to go.

Purchsed about six of these from Joann's on sale (.99 and 1.50)...I can't believe how well they match my colors! They'll be used to hold pictures of us and family or signs for the fishbowl, candy buffet etc.

Some other frames I've collected which are more formal. I'll either put bridals of me or wedding photos from family in them.

Found these initial paperweight thingys at Joann's on sale the other day... don't really know what I'll use them for, but they're really cute and only $3 each.

My bouquet ribbon and my mom's and FMIL’s hankies I got off ebay! Page me for info, seller was awesome!

Believe it or not, my FMIL put this in my stocking this Christmas! She thought it was hilarious, but I'm definetly wearing it!

Our napkins! From, foryourparty.com... I know its not a very good picture, but they are awesome!!! I love them!!

Working on: Moss covered initials for the front doors of the church like these.

The letters for the door cut out onto pink styrofoam... don't ask me why its pink....no clue.

Finished: 30 Hydrangea/Moss covered wreaths, 20 for pews, 10 for reception tables.

Saw these at Canton, they were charging $11 each! I made mine for under $2 from craft wire and faux pearls.

Bubble wands! I ordered the return address labels with my monogram on them from vistaprint.com, they were less that $4 for over a hundred, and were at my house within 3 days... awesome company!

Made this at a galzing place in Tyler with my Matron of Honor.

I just got my STD magnets in!! I did them at vistaprint.com, the price was VERY reasonable. They look awesome and got to me quick, highly reccomend!

Ok guys, this is the final design for my invites! I love the way they turned out, keep in mind they're going to be printed on ivory paper which will soften that color a little.

The mess I made in our computer/guest bedroom! This is my "everything paper" corner than I've claimed... you can see invites, thank you cards and programs and cluttered together.

My invites! Yay!

Inside on the correct paper!

These are the two different liners I used for the envelopes. I couldn't find enough of either so guests will get either/or.

These are the thank-you cards I'm giving out pre-wedding. They're stamps I found at Joann's... very pretty! I'm going to order thank-yous with pictures from the wedding later.

Programs! I stole inspiration from a lot of different knotties so thanks guys!

Closer view of each page.

My start at a shadowbox... I'll add a couple of b/w pics after the wedding. My MOH got it for us as an engagement present.

Bridesmaid's newsletters I just sent out, made on photoshop.

Placecards I bought from Michael's... they'll already be at the tables for the bridal party, parents and grandparents only... otherwise I'm not having assigned seating.

Practicing my calligraphy on the STD's...still not how I want it, but coming along nicely.

Having this made to wear at the rehersal dinner, from James Avery.com

Shower thankyou gifts for the hostesses! They're really cute colored glass hanging candle holders from IKEA!

I'm making these totes for the BMs. They're just canvas bags from Michaels with sequins and bead fabric glued on. They're taking a long time, but for the price and look they're worth it!

The bags are done!!!

Bouquet pins I made for the BM's as part of their presents. DIY for less than $1 each!

Pashminas for the BMs! Orded them from EBAY, had them embroidered at a local shop here in Flower Mound!

Flipflops for the girls at the reception...white for bridesmaids and pink for my two attendants!

This is what has happened to my poor apartment! FI is being so nice even though living conditions continue to worsen as the big day gets closer!
