For the reception I switched from my ivory heels to my pleated ivory Chuck Taylor Converse shoes. I have always been a HUGE Converse fan and had to buy/wear the shoes behind my mom's back. She hates the style. But she ended up thinking it was fun.

I put so much time and research into making the pew bows on my own.

My maid of honor wanted to remember everything we gave them at the reception. Place cards were pinned to green apples, favors were white bells with a poem attached (which people rang as we left the reception), I gave the girls a Spanish fan, the bridesmaid pulled ribbons from under the cake with charms signifying different things (hers was that she would soon find love in her life) and we gave our bridal party green martini glasses filled with flowers.

I planned a large part of my wedding from Spain. I brought back abanicos (Spanish fans) for all of the bridesmaids and the flowergirl. It was nice on that hot day!

My husband was a back captain for a catering company. We were given everything for free to use for our centerpieces and we put them together ourselves.

The bridal party was made of of people from all over the united states. Most did not live within 3 hours of each other. They were there for us through everything.

My cousin (and bridesmaid) is a baker. She made my cake for me to look like the stripes in my dress and shoes. She also seperated all the tiers by real green apples, which were the theme of our reception.
