just a little red for good luck! the bridesmaids had black shoes with red soles, and mine were a dark burgundy with red soles. chris wore red socks to match.

the centerpieces were hurricanes with large white candles or tall vases with white orchids (which doubled as flowers framing the altar). instead of favors we set out a few types of candy in large glass jars, with takeout boxes for guests to scoop up their own candy. the flowers were red and purple tulips for me, and red and white tulips and white calla lilies and purple lisianthus for the girls. we were married in a smaller room at the winery that was surrounded by barrels.

my new sister-in-law, Sara, made the cake. she surprised me by making the top layer funfetti (my fave). the rest is butter pecan, with a buttercream frosting and clear rock candy.

bridesmaids dresses were from jcrew - they picked their own style in black. the maid of honor's dress was from ann taylor. shoes were black patent pumps with red soles and hair was by Michelle Kassis.
