As our exit we had a traditional New Orleans second line, we led a parade with our guests dancing behind us. Our wedding was a direct reflection of us as a couple down to the detail. My husband also became an "Honorary Cuban" and was presented a declaration from my family - after he filled his last requirement, which was to lead the conga at our reception!

My mom in the background helping with my veil. My dress was a Mori Lee from Ventura's Bridal. The veil was my mothers handmade mantilla from Spain that she wore in her wedding to my dad more than 40 years ago I also wore her pearl necklace and earrings and I wore purple heels, that had a six pence taped inside from the year my parents were married - for good luck!

Since we are huge baseball fans we had our reception at the historic Union Station located inside of Minute Maid Park - where we have spent a lot of time cheering on the Astros. We were able to go out to the field to take some photos during the reception. To tie in our "baseball theme" as appetizers we served ballpark hot dogs, hamburgers, pop corn, peanuts, and cracker jacks - with a prize inside!

Here is my cake, made by Cakes by Gina. My cake was white cake with strawberries and cream filling and my husband chose a chocolate cake with mousse filling, topped with chocolate covered strawberries dressed in tuxes. Our cakes tasted amazing, and we ended up running out of both! Since we both love Starbucks we had a Starbucks coffee bar to serve with the cake, complete with to-go cups.

Before we say I do - My bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses to compliment their green and purple bouquets filled with orchids and hypericum berries. The groomsmen wore black tuxes with chocolate brown vests and ties with a green orchid.
