Wendy and John snatched a moment alone while the setting sun lit the beautiful autumn colors aglow at the edge of Lake Champlain on the lawn of the historic Grand Isle Lake House in Vermont. The venue used local food themes and produce for the meal, and the guest favors were amber syrup made by Cabot Hills Maple and bottled in clear leaf-shaped glass containers.

Piles of fall leaves were kicked into the air moments after the ceremony as the newlyweds celebrated. Wendy grew up in Vermont and the two chose the mid-October date to try to maximize the bright colors...with the knowledge that the weather could be a bit brisk!

The wedding party picks the new couple up for an unconventional kiss that's more laughter than romance! The bridesmaids wore JCrew dresses in the bride's favorite mediterranean blue to contrast with the orange and reddish leaves and flowers.

John spun Wendy around for a kiss in front of the vibrant fall foliage of Vermont. They used the autumn leaf theme throughout the wedding, making an aisle out of colored leaves, draping the ceremony arch with leaf garlands, and using colored paper leaves hung on saplings cut by Wendy's father for seating cards.
