My wedding dress was a mix of lace as well as preppy ribbon detail. Picking a dress was really difficult, so many beautiful options! A great laughing picture… my bridesmaids got me laugh off the weather... it was gorgeous all week (and the week after!)… however the day of our wedding Hurricane Danny hit Maine. Needless to say our outdoor tented reception and water entrance didn't quite go as planned. As with many things it makes for a great story. (Especially since my husband is the fourth in a line of Danny’s!)

Being guided into St. Brendans Church by my father and two of our best friends from college that were ushers as the wind raged and rain fell. We burst from the fury of the storm into the calm of the church. Without a team of people my dress and veil probably would have been dripping and in shreds. We had simply designed programs however we included personal information about our relationships to our wedding party, etc. They made for a funny, heartfelt and interesting read.

I had to take a little time-out during our Catholic ceremony... I needed to use the bathroom! This happened right before we were about to take our vows. My soon-to-be husband said he was glad it was me instead of him! Our priest Father Labarre was fantastic. He didn’t skip a beat when we threw him that curve ball. He was also funny, personal and made everyone feel welcome and part of the ceremony.

Improvising indoor shots. Our family and some of our best friends made up our wedding party. We feel blessed to have so many friends and family travel from half way across the country to celebrate with us in my home state, Maine. (75%+ of our guests were from out of state, mostly from the Midwest. Many had not visited the New England let alone Maine before our wedding).

Our flowers by Fleurant were gorgeous! They complimented in our ‘sea glass’ color scheme. Favors were pashmina scarves that matched the bridesmaid dresses and served as chair sashes thus adding to the décor. The groomsmen looked dapper and timeless in black and white three-piece suits.

My bridal bouquet by Fleurant and our wedding rings. Melissa at Fleurant is very creative and incorporated all of our desires to create stunning floral décor.

We weren't about to let the weather put a damper on our celebration! Everyone ate, drank and danced the night away... truly amazing and unforgettable. Big thanks to our family and friends as well as our amazing vendors: Bob Charest Band, Blush Imagery, Fleurant, Lilley's Limo and the Nonantum.
