In lieu of fresh flowers, the bride had custom-made bouquets and wedding party flowers made from fabric. RBK Creations even included sparkling initials in everyone's bouquets. The bride had her bridesmaids select their own tea length dresses in any shade of dark teal they desired.

The Winter's Wedding

The bride and groom love cake and cucpakes! So, in addition to wedding cake, for centerpieces, the bride and a friend made cake stands using vintage plates and candlesticks. On top sat varieties of eggless and vegan cupcakes. Also on the tables were the couple's favorite paintings in double-sided frames instead of traditional table numbers and mini German chocolates from the groom's hometown.

The bride and groom, with help from family and friends, decorated the reception hall at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Hot cocoa and hot apple cider were the signature drinks at this alcohol-free reception. Toppings included chocolate shavings, candy canes, whipped cream, candied ginger and cinnamon sticks. An all-vegetarian 3-course menu was served by Food for Thought.
