We are high school sweethearts so we had a school bus for transportation. My girls & I rode to the ceremony in it (I surprised him & the guys with a limo the morning of as part of his gift) and then we and the whole wedding party rode back together in the bus.

As part of our ceremony, we did a handfasting and then read the words from the Anam Cara ceremony. Here our Best Man and Maid of Honor are holding the wording for Anam Cara while we recite them together.

Right as we were lining up to take our wedding party photos one of our groomsmen surprised his girlfriend (the Maid of Honor) and proposed. We have been friends for almost 20 years so it was so special to share that moment in her life!

This was taken just after the ceremony when we had a little time just the two of us. It completely embodies how beautiful the day was and how we felt.

Our centerpieces were very simple: a mason jar with a large gold pillar candle in it, a mini pumpkin, a stem of hydrangea in a small green vase, and votive candle at each place setting with the guest's name on it for a place card. The candles were also used in a small lighting ceremony at the start of the reception to honor those who couldn't be with us. Instead of table numbers, we named them with different inside jokes. The sheet of paper on the table told the story behind each.

Our cake was from Art's Bakery in Taunton, MA. We used a slice of tree trunk as the base, wrapped raffia around the tiers, and had a Willow Tree figurine under a 'tree' for our topper.

My family has game night every Sunday. With our wedding being on a Sunday, we wanted to incorporate that tradition so we played musical chairs. It was such a blast!
