HOW WE MET
Nathan and Amanda met on very typical night for them both. It was a Friday night and both were out for a night downtown with their friends. Both groups ended up at Ake's place. When Amanda first saw Nate, she was quite drawn to his eyes, but was quickly dismayed when she looked at the big red Canadiens C right above them. However, she was intrigued and beckoned him over. Nate claims that if it wasn't for the Rusty Nails he had at the Rotisserie earlier in the night, he wouldn't have had the nerve to go over to Amanda, but fortunately he did. When he had made his way over, he expected a hello, but Amanda proceeded to tell him he was wearing the ugliest hat she had ever seen. While this could have been perceived as rude, Nate just knew he was dealing with an avid Bruins fan. This could have been seen by both as a bad combination from the start, but Nate sat down and started talking hockey with Amanda. Soon both were laughing and decided to meet for a drink the following night. A few dates later, they were pretty much inseparable despite their conflicting hockey views.
