HOW IT HAPPENED
It was the Saturday after Isabel had past and foiled some of our plans due to power outages and floods. We ended up on Federal Hill, in downtown Baltimore, to catch the fireworks above Camden Yards (unplanned but fitting). We exchanged aniversery gifts to the tune of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's, "It's Your Love", playing on Jeff's PocketPC. Jeff received a promised "Lord of the Rings: Two Towers" Platinum Edition DVD and Amy received a necklace with her initials AJW engraved. After Amy finished the card Jeff had written her, under the moonlight and overlooking the lit up Baltimore harbor, Jeff bent down on one knee pulling the ring (a princess cut diamond with 6 channel set diamonds in white gold) out and asked, "Amy Joy, will you make me the happiest man in the world and be my wife?" After hyperventilating and while still crying, she joyfully said yes! An extremely happy Jeff then showed Amy the other side of her necklace which had AJP engraved on it, her new initials.

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
The most significant aspect of our wedding is that we want it to be pointing everyone who attends to Jesus Christ. He is at the focus of our relationship and it is important to us that everyone sees that. We also want everyone to witness the covenant relationship that we will be entering in with each other and with our Lord and God. The vows we make to come together in such a way are built on the rock of Jesus Christ and are not temporal. Our prayer is that we will be examples of Christ, His servants and always pointing others to Him.
