I'm the girlie girl. I love fashion, stupid reality shows and music. I love, love, love Sex and the City. I think I'm most like Carrie, I definitely believe in true love and I'm addicted to fashion and being social. I noticed Stephen before he noticed me and I wanted to meet him right away.
ABOUT STEPHEN
Stephen is the epitome of Aidan from Sex and the City. He's just the greatest guy and the biggest sweetheart. He loves art, film and music and he has this outdoorsy adventurous side. He loves skiing, hiking and cycling. We are definitely opposites that attract.
HOW WE MET
I met Stephen almost a year before we had our first date. I met him through a mutual friend (Jason Finn) and I thought he was so cute. But, it wasn't until several months later that he asked me out. I asked him what was taking him so long to ask me out. He claims he didn't know I wanted him to ask me out. I thought it was obvious I had been flirting with him for a few weeks. Stephen is the first guy I've ever asked out. So, I guess I was a little rusty with my flirting skills. The rest is history.
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
We went to Alinea in Lincoln Park for dinner. After dessert, he came and sat next to me and asked me if I knew why he always planned something the day before Christmas Eve. He has planned a date night for us on the night before Christmas Eve since we started dating. It turns out that 12/23 is actually our 6 month anniversary. The night at Alinea was our 2 1/2 year anniversary. He told me over the years we've made each other laugh and we've made each other cry. And, now it was time for us to make each other happy for the rest of our lives. I cried and cried and I hugged him like there was no tomorrow. It was truly the happiest day of my life.

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
Well, we love downtown Chicago and decided to have a city wedding. We're getting married at Bethany United Church of Christ in Ravenswood. Our reception will be at River East Art Center. That was my tribute to Stephen's former life. He is an amazing artist but doesn't paint much anymore. The corporate world has kept him from his canvas and I wanted him to have a night filled with art.
