ABOUT DANA
Dana is 30 years old and a lifelong resident of Clifton, New Jersey. She graduated from Montclair State University in 1999 with a BS degree in Commercial Recreation and Tourism. Dana is currently working for an audio visual company in Roseland, NJ. She enjoys shopping, reading, watching TV and spending time with Dan, her family, and her friends.
ABOUT DAN
Dan is 32 and formerly of Bellerose, NY, but currently resides in Clifton, NJ. Dan has worked in IT for most of his career and is a network specialist for UNICEF in New York City. As like most techies, Dan enjoys computer and console gaming. He also loves music (he is a drummer), and spending time with Dana, his family, and his friends.
HOW WE MET
Dan and I met on a bulletin board service (BBS) based out of the University of Iowa, over 10 years ago. I was in NJ and he was in NY, which was a rarity considering everyone on the BBS was basically based in the midwest.
Anyway, we probably conversed online and by phone for about a month before I agreed to meet him. However, it was under the condition that he come out to NJ. He agreed and we decided to meet two days later. After getting lost on his way to Clifton and ending up in a neighboring "slum" (he still to this day says it was my bad directions, but I disagree) we finally did meet, and although it was completely unplanned, he ended up meeting 3/4 of my immediate family. We decided to go to Houlihan's for dinner and throughout the whole meal we both thought the other was totally uninterested. It wasn't until we went to the movies (we saw Ransom) and were waiting for the movie to start that we realized our thoughts were wrong. Just before the lights went off and the movie started, Dan asked me..."how come you never told me how cute you were?" And the rest as they say is history...
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
Dan and I were on vacation (over 5 years since the last one) in Punta Cana. It was the 3rd day of our vacation and the first day where the hurricane (Wilma) did not effect the weather on the island. We had a very nice and romantic dinner at a gourmet Japanese restaurant. It was my first time eating sushi and eating with chopsticks. Dan was so proud of me. LOL. After dinner we went to the casino, and then went to the theater/bar to watch that evenings production. It was a beautiful clear night where you could see every star in the sky. We decided to go to the beach where it would be darker to get a better look at the night sky. When we were on the beach we were looking up at the stars and discussing if one that we saw was a star or actually a planet since it was so much brighter then the others. During our star-gazing Dan was standing behind me with his arms around me and whispered in my ear, "will you marry me?" I turned around to face him, and said, "yeah, sure." He realized I really didn't understand that he was REALLY asking me, and so he pulled out the ring and asked me again. At that point, reality smacked me right in the face and I just froze and started shaking and crying. It was so dark and I couldn't see the ring and I asked if we could go to the light so I could see it, which then made me cry more when I saw how beautiful it was. Somewhere in between, we think I said yes. :)

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
If you were to ask our relatives about our wedding, they would probably sum it up in two words...EUREKA and Hallelujah!
Basically, what we can say is, there will be a lot of food, a lot to drink, a lot of dancing, so make sure you rest up, because we're going PARTY!!
