ABOUT EMILY
Born and raised in Hartselle, Alabama, Emily is a 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2005 graduate of Auburn University. She currently works at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the Grants Accounting department.
ABOUT BRANDON
Brandon is a 2002 graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School and is currently attending school at Jeff State. He will be transferring to Jacksonville State University in January 2007 pursuing a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.
HOW WE MET
The first time Emily and Brandon ever saw each other (to their knowledge) was in December 2004. Emily and her Auburn friends were all at home for Christmas break. She drove a few of her friends down to Birmingham one night to meet up with some friends there to hang out and to see the newly released "Phantom of the Opera" at the movies. A mutual friend had brought Brandon along and neither one of them spoke to each other the entire night. Emily thought Brandon was taken and out of her league. Just a month later Brandon showed up in Auburn one weekend to visit a friend of his. Emily and her roommate had a bunch of people over one night and they came. He ended up leaving his cell phone at their place and she stole his phone number! They then started to talk, became friends, started dating, and before long they had both fallen for each other!
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
Brandon sent Emily an email at work that Friday morning giving her a list of requirements for their date that night (nice clothes, no questions, hair down, no cell phone, etc.). He picked her up that night and brought her a dozen roses! She suspected what was coming, but didn't say a word. They went out to eat at one of their favorite restaurants, The Fish Market, and then decided to go see a movie. On their way home after the movie, Brandon took a side trip to Black Creek Park. They walked through the woods and came to a picnic table. Brandon told Emily she could have a seat, and when she sat down and turned back around, he was down on his knee...the rest is history!
