ABOUT JESSICA
Jess is originally from Watertown, CT. She graduated in 2001 with a Chemical Engineering degree from Rensselaer and has worked as a process engineer and crew supervisor at Corning Asahi Video Products and Ocean Spray Cranberries. Jess enjoys being outdoors doing *whatever* in her spare time, including gardening, walking, biking, and reading.
ABOUT JEFFREY
Jeff is originally from Hamilton, NJ. He graduated in 2001 with a Materials Science & Engineering degree from Rensselaer. He works as an Outside Sales Engineer for Carrier Corporation. Jeff also plays guitar, mountain bikes, and recently has picked up roller hockey.
HOW WE MET
We attended first year college courses together, and had many common friends. (We still do!) Jeff asked me to his fraternity's White Rose formal in fall 1998, and we started spending time together. We started dating that winter, and haven't looked back since.
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
I thought we were going out for a New Year's dinner and stroll though Princeton to see the Christmas decorations, but Jeff had additional plans. We had a fabulous dinner at Mediterra, in Princeton, right on Palmer Square. After dinner we started to walk around a bit and look at the Christmas decorations in the store windows. As we walked through the green Jeff stopped at a bench and proposed by the light of the town's oversized and colorfully lit Christmas tree. It was a gorgeous night for walking, window-peeping, and floating on a cloud.
WHEN & WHERE

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
There will be a morning ceremony in St. John's church in Middlebury. The church is on the town green and next-door to Westover School. The reception will be at Crystal Peak in Winstead. There is a large outdoor garden that should be beautiful in the early fall.
