In true Drews' style, the ring was misplaced on the intended proposal date - Kari's birthday. Instead, he dropped to one knee on the trail in Napa's Bothe State park two weeks later. And he HAD planned ahead - the ring is Kari's grandmother's engagement diamond, reset just for her.
