ABOUT KIMBERLY ANN
I was raised in London, ON, Canada. I graduated from Fanshawe College in London, ON in Dec 2001 with a diploma in Business Accounting and a post graduate diploma in Business Administration - Accounting. I have since pursued my Payroll designation as well and I have obtained my Payroll Administrator (PA) designation as well as my Payroll Supervisor (PS) deignation. I recently moved to Windsor, ON to join David in May 2005. I am currently working as a Financial Analyst for the City of Windsor.
ABOUT DAVID ALLEN GENE
I was raised in Strathroy, ON, Canada. I graduated from Lambton College in Sarnia, ON in March 2002 with a diploma in Basic Arborist and Advanced Arborist (trees). I worked at Davey Tree - Mississauga for 2 years but I received an offer I couldn't turn down for a Forester with The City of Windsor in Oct 2004.
HOW WE MET
We met on our first day at Fanshawe College in London, ON. We were in the same core group for business accounting. We became good friends that semester while were in all the same classes, played cards during our breaks and eating lunch together. We lost touch after that first semester when David transferred into the computer programming program. I ran into a mutual friend from our first semester together who said that David was looking to catch up with me. So, I made the all important call to catch up and I belive it took us a while to get together but after school ended that year in Apr 1999, we had more time on our hands--we did a lot of group outings. From our first official date in June 1999, we were inseparable! That whole 'who called who' first in the beginning changes depending on who you ask....in the end--it doesn't really matter.

HOW IT HAPPENED
At Mandarin restaurant for dinner. David's parents, my mom, David's brother Blair, Blair's girlfriend Sherri and Sherri's boys Tyler and Jacob were there with us for dinner that night. I knew something was up because David had asked his mom to bring her digital camera. She suspected something too but wasn't too vocal about it. No one knew what David had up his sleeve that night. I had gone up for dessert with my mom behind me or so I thought. David asked my mom permission to marry me while I was up getting food. I came back to the table and all eyes were on me. My mom told me I should sit down. I did, thankfully. David came around the table and told me he had asked my mom permission to marry me she approved and asked if I wanted to marry him. He took out the ring box and I was speechless! What a surprise! I said yes of course!

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
We are very happy to be getting married and we couldn't imagine sharing this day without our wonderful families and friends! It is going to be a intimate, casual affair, with some great food and dancing!
