ABOUT KRISTIN
I was born & raised in Northern California, Concord to be specific. When Jason and I met I was in school at San Diego State University, where I graduated from in 2001. I love to cook, shop and travel so I can't wait for out honeymoon to the Rivera Maya in Mexico! I am currently working as an event planning consultant.
ABOUT JASON
Jason was born in Oakland but moved to Moraga around age 12 (he still says he's from Oakland but we all know he's a true Moraga boy). Jason is one of the sweetest men you'll ever meet with a truly gentle spirit and killer smile. Jason works as a union Glazier in San Francisco and loves his job. Jason loves anything to do with the Warriors, the Raiders and the A's....but only these teams...don't ask him to (ever) cheer for anyone besides home teams as he is unbelieveably loyal.
HOW WE MET
Jason and I met when I was home for the summer in 2000 and he and my best friend Ryan were working together at the Good Guys. I met Jason at a party and once we started talking we didn't stop. We were inseparable from the start. He took me on our first date to Piedmont, a neighborhood I now love thanks to that great night. Jason was, as usual, sweating in the tiny restaurant and acutally had to excuse himself to go outside because he was so sweaty & nervous.
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED
August 5, 2005
HOW IT HAPPENED
Jason proposed to me on August 5th, when we were going out for date night on a Friday night. We went to Lo Coco's for dinner, where we had our first date and had a great dinner and fun conversation. Again, Jason was sweating but now I know why. After dinner we went to Grizzly Peak in Berkeley which has an amazing view of the entire Bay Area. We were talking and joking around when he gave me a big hug and told me he had something he's wanted to do for a long time. My response was something like "Shut up, no way, is this really happening?" And before I knew it he was down on one kneee asking me to marry him. I have to say it was the best date night ever. I said yes, of course and we started calling friends & family right away.
