ABOUT KRISTIN
I'm a Star Wars nut living in NYC (Coruscant to those in the know). I LOVE costuming and would have even made my own dress, but decided I'd have enough headaches without worrying about the dress too. I love my honey and he loves me, we're made for each other :-)
ABOUT WILL
Will is the Jedi Chef! He graduated from The French Culinary Institute :-) He's also a big SW geek so it works our great for both of us.
HOW WE MET
When I first saw Will, he was in his underwear! I attended a charity event at the IMAX in the Palisades mall for the latest Star Wars movie (Attack of the Clones) and I thought it was a great way to meet new people who were into what I was and maybe meet a cute guy ;-) When I went into the common room where everyone was storing their stuff I walked in Will changing into his Jedi costume and I was so embarassed I closed the door. There were other people in the room as well and they told me to come back in, Will wouldn't mind LOL When I came back in he had his pants on and was getting his belt out, I noticed that his Jedi costume was really cool and I decided to go over and ask where he go the pouches on his belt. We ended up talking the whole night and exchanged email addresses that evening. Will ended up swearing while talking to a friend and apologized to me (he thought I was 14 at first lol), I told him not to worry, I was 20. When I got home, the next day my best friend Patsy came to see me and I told her all about this cute guy I met, and I told her "This is the one, you watch, I'm going to marry that man one day." and here I am today, marrying that man :-D Will and I have been through our ups and downs but we always get through it and land on our feet. We have the deepest resect and love for each other
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
Let's start with the ring, it's not your usual diamond that every girl has and will ever have - that's just too boring. Will decided to take a loose Imperial Topaz that my mother had given my many years ago (also my birthstone), and have it made into the engagement ring. It's a beautiful deep orange with a hint of pink tones to it - absolutely gorgeous. Will and I went to our favorite Irish Pub, Donovan's in Woodside (Queen's) kind of as a late anniversary dinner (our anniversary is Jan 21). After we each had our soup, he got on one knee and opened the box at the table, I was so happy and I just gave him a huge hug and said yes of course hehe. He would have asked on our anniversary but the ring took 10 days to have made and he surprised me with it.
