HOW IT HAPPENED
A bunch of people have been asking how we proposed and why the heck Trish would ever say "yes." Well, here is the story. Share it with your children some day. It shows that even crazy people like us can get it together eventually.
My roomate, Leo, was moving to the apartment upstairs. He and his fiance, Sherry, are due to be hitched on March 6th, but the apartment is available. So, he was moving. I had to get a new roomate. I have been thinking and praying and working and fretting and there is just no one else for me. I want Trish. I need Trish. So, I have been trying to get up the gumption (and a few pennies) to ask.
One weekend at the Celtic Fest I was looking at jewlery. Trish was looking with me. We played "guess what I'm thinking about" for a few hours and went home. That night we were talking about the apartment and what we would do with it. We were talking about stone settings (Live and learn, boys.). And then I asked her. "Hey, you wanna live with me forever? I mean forever and ever." She asked "What are you getting at?"
"Marry me."
"Yes. Oh! Wait! Will you marry me?"
I though that was assumed. The truth is that she had been looking for rings, too and I simply beat her to the punch. Wow. So, there it is. We giggled like little kids for a while. It is a good thing.

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
What is this word "conventional?" It will be in Trish's home church, Mentow Baptist. The Rev Dr. priscilla Eppinger will preside. We will have cool friends making music. We will have cool friends reciting Shakespeare. What else do you need?
