ABOUT SHAWN
I grew up in Cypress and went to Western High School. I have worked at Evangelical Christian Credit Union in the lending department for over four years. I am currently in school working towards my Bachelor's Degree in business. I love playing volleyball and try to fatten Jim up with my baking experimentations.
ABOUT JAMES
Jim also grew up in Cypress (big coincidence) and went to a rival high school, Cypress. He graduated from UC San Diego and has worked at IBI Group for over four years as an Urban & Transportation Planner. Jim's biggest hobby is maintaining the restoration of a 1927 steam engine.
HOW WE MET
Jim and I were matched by eHarmony in December 2003. We got to know each other through email. We met for the first time at Starbucks. After all the emails, we weren't sure we would have much left to talk about, but filled three hours with conversation. It was an instant connection and I knew I would see him again!

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jim took me for a walk in Aliso Viejo down to Golden Spoon for a nice treat of frozen yogurt. Then we went on a beautiful evening stroll through Grand Park, surrounded by tons of bunny rabbits. We found a great spot to sit in the park which overlooked the city lights of South Orange County. It was there that Jim expressed his love and asked me to be his wife. I couldn't say "Yes" fast enough!!
