ABOUT STEPHANIE ASHLEY
I’m a 25-year-old Artist/ Writer/ New Media Designer. I recently graduated from York University’s Women’s Studies program, and am working as a medical office manager. I presently live with my family, Coda our shepard and Falkor my Bearded Dragon.
ABOUT MICHAEL
Mike is a ruggedly handsome 25 year-old, although he will vehemently deny his age when asked, IT analysist. In his spare time he likes to paint models, and play video games. Mike presently lives with his roommate Tony, Gandalf Tony’s cat, Njordr the beta, and Sobek his Egyptian sandfish skink.
HOW WE MET
The first time Mike and I saw each other was Saturday October 29th 2005. I was out with my boyfriend for dinner before the witches’ ball and he was there with his girlfriend, I didn’t know him at the time and we were briefly introduced later that night. About 3 or 4 months later a friend of mine Tony told me about this really great guy he knew that he wanted me to meet, I had just broken up with my boyfriend and wasn’t really interested at the time. In April 2006 Tony’s then girlfriend asked me to come to her spring picnic, it wasn’t really that warm and I wasn’t feeling well but I went anyways for a little while and once again crossed paths with Mike. There he was sitting in his chair with this black umbrella over it to prevent him from getting any sun, later that evening he was tending the fire and a few sparks jumped out burning a small hole through my jeans and blanket and I told him to be careful, he told me to move farther back if I didn’t like it.
A few days later he added me to MSN where we talked every night all night for months. We started hanging out and soon his girlfriend was gone and we were dating. The rest is history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Mike and I had just come home from having dinner with his father and sister for his dad’s birthday. They left to go back to his dad’s place and we stayed at Mike’s to watch a movie and cuddle. So as were sitting there cuddling Mike tells me to close my eyes and I hear him get up, I go to open my eyes and he tells me not to peak. He takes my had and I feel him slip something onto my finger and at that point I open my eyes because I can’t wait any longer and he’s slipped on my engagement ring, he told me he was just making sure it fit right, I told him he wasn’t getting it back even if it didn’t. He looked at me and proposed right on the spot I responded with of course, kissed him, and after a few min of that he pulled away and said “so is that a yes?” I told him I had said yes, he told me I said of course not yes, I responded with “Then yes I’ll marry you” and we continued to cuddle. A few days later he came over to ask my parents if it was alright with them and they thank goodness consented.

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
Mike and I are having a Jewish/Wiccan Handfasting. We are having a betrothal ceremony Late July 2007 and in pagan tradition living together for a year and a day at least to make sure we can live together and not drive each other crazy, at the end of our betrothal we will be having a legal wedding cementing our relationship and making it legal.
