Valerie is currently working in financial analysis and program control for a major telecommunications company. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with Nick, playing with Sophie and perfecting her chocolate chip cookies.
ABOUT NICHOLAS
Nick passed the Colorado Bar exam and will soon be employed by the state of Colorado as a public defender. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with Valerie, playing video games, and learning new things...and eating Valerie's chocolate chip cookies.
HOW WE MET
Our mutual friend, Margaret, had been trying for at least six months to get us together. Finally, Nick asked Valerie to go see "The Tempest" at the Shakespeare Theater on May 18, 2005. The rest is history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Nick suggested going out to Valerie's favorite restaurant to have a romantic dinner. She knew something was up, but wasn't exactly sure until dessert was served. He presented the stone and proposed. Of course Valerie cried but immediately said yes!
