Newlyweds for 53 days!
ABOUT GIAO
I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and lived there all my life with my parents,my older brother Michael and younger sister Cathy up until I graduated UW-Madison in 1995. Then I moved down to Tampa, Florida where I worked as a pharmacist at Walgreens for 9 years and now I am currently at the James Haley VA. My interests include taekwondo,going to sporting events,going to the beach, and having fun!
ABOUT SHAUN
He was raised in Livermore, CA with his mom and younger sister Juliann. He went to highschool in New Holland,PA where he lived with his dad,stepmom Laurie and step brother Jack. He moved to Florida in 1994. He is currently working as an Operations Manager at Showorks, a special event company while working towards his BA for Business Management. His many Interests include riding his motorcycle, going to sporting events,golfing and going to the beach.
HOW WE MET
We actually met while I was in Little Rock, Arkansas watching the World Championship Taekwondo Tournement in June 2005. I was hanging out with a friend who was producing the commencement ceremony when I found myself suddenly put to work for the production! It just so happens that Shaun was one of the crew members working on the show and we had a chance to work together and get to know eachother for the next 2 days. It turned out that the entire production crew was actually from Tampa! After the 2 days of working side by side, we decided to go out on a date back in Tampa when the tournement was done and the rest was history! Who knew that we had to go all the way to Little Rock, Arkansas to meet the love of our lives?
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
We were just finishing opening all of our Christmas presents on Christmas Eve (yes, it was Christmas Eve because he was going to go golfing Christmas morning..it was part of our deal!) when Shaun came over to where I was sitting,kneeled down next to me and told me that he had "one more present " for me,"actually one more question".. and proceeded to ask me if I would marry him. It took awhile for him to get this out because I kept kissing him and smiling from ear to ear! I could barely talk and that RARELY happens with me!

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
We actually are having 2 weddings! The first one will be a semi-traditional Vietnamese (tea ceremony) wedding in Madison on 10/4/08 for my side of the family followed by a small restaurant reception at Imperial Gardens. The following week we will be flying to Cabos, San Lucas where we will be having a wedding ceremony at the Dreams Resort and Spa on Friday 10/10/08
on the beach followed by a reception poolside overlooking the water.
